The vibe inside is awesome, the decorations on the walls....nostalgia abounds, and plenty to keep you occupied (foosball table, chess) while waiting your turn in the chair. The barbers/stylists are diverse and talented, and we have our faves Wendi and Tyler, but honestly aren't scared to put 'OPEN' when we are pressed for time. I specifically asked for a simple neck cleanup, which took only a few minutes, yet they charged $20 for that tiny touch-up while a full haircut is only $35. That pricing makes absolutely no sense and feels like they're taking advantage of walk-ins. Everyone was friendly enough at first to get you in the door, but once the service was done the attitude changed. The manager didn't seem service-oriented at all and showed no interest in making the situation right. For a place that should value repeat customers, this experience made it clear they don't. Avoid this barbershop -- you probably won't want to come back a second time. The barber even missed hairs on my neck that were covered by the itchy paper around my neck. Careless. Do better, Sunset!

First quality haircut I have had in a while. I was always afraid of getting haircuts because I'd pay and have my hair messed up but that wasn't the case here. Lenny the barber who cut my hair was professional, kind, and even enlightened me with his knowledge of hair. I didn't know there was more to haircuts, but if you really think about it every head and hair is different, it's up to the knowledge of the professional to enhance the experience of just a hair cut and the vibe that got was just that. Also the place gave a luxurious feel for a hair cut. My wife's in the military and recommended it to me. If you're not trying to get cussed out Monday morning for a hair cut this place will make you look great on and off duty. This place has modern class. The entire staff are a warm, welcoming, diverse group of people dedicated to honing their craft. Each vibrant personality compliments the other. James was friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to salvaging as much length from my hair as possible. Sadly, I had other plans. He reluctantly kept his composure as he cut my hip length hair up to my shoulders. It hurt him more than it did me to watch the locks of hair hit the floor. Got my hair cut by Lenny and I've got to brag about it. To start the shop is immaculate and has a great vibe to it. I have wavy/curly hair and find more often than not I'm not happy with my hair cuts until a few weeks after the appointment, but I walked out of there feeling stylish and confident! Lenny gave me a very tame business mullet, which suits my face and head shape well and is something I never would have considered if I had chosen myself.
