I really didn't want to review these guys since they seem like genuine nice guys but I think it's important that consumers know what they are getting so here is my honest opinion from experience. I asked for state-of-the-art cameras and a GPS system to be installed on my car. The total they charged me was $1200. 1) cameras - They installed 2 base model Audiovox cameras. I looked them up online and the cameras only cost $100 each at Jet.com. Not exactly state of the art and most shops said I paid way too much for installation. Also, they didn't setup the date and time on the cameras which would make them useless if I ever got into an accident and wanted to fight it in court. 2) GPS - they installed Guidepoint which is not the best system out there. It's probably one of the worst. Guidepoint is an additional monthly subscription and Guidepoints pricing was way more expensive than better GPS systems out there. Also, the IPhone app and tracking of the vehicle was terrible! I paid for their best package and it doesn't even show specific locations of where my vehicle was located. Just general areas which made it useless. I ended up ordering a cheap Mastrak GPS system from Amazon and it was a lot more accurate and a fraction of the price. 3) Wiring - (photos attached) this was the biggest and worst issue. They installed the GPS power supply directly to the same wire that feeds the cigarette lighter. As soon as I plugged in a basic iPhone charger, the fuse blew out. I brought the car to the dealership and their exact words were "all the wires under the fuse box are a total mess. The wiring definitely was not done the right way." The only way the dealer could stop the fuse from being blown out was by pulling off the wiring installed by Audio Illusions. Now it's just a dangling $1200 wire. 4) Grease stains - it was a brand new car and the panels were covered in grease. Again, other shops noticed these things. They said they probably didn't use clean tools when installing the panels. In summary, I paid a premium price of $1200 for a below average gps and camera system that aren't even being used anymore because of a really bad installation. ***** Jack, I would be happy to express my concerns face to face but I've already wasted enough of my time correcting these issues at other shops and the damage has already been done. I'm doing this on a "computer" because I think it's fair to keep consumers informed. read more

I was looking for a dealer custom quality audio place for my vehicles. I was recommended by my friends at Acura of Westchester. When I arrived at Audio Illusions I was greeted by John the owner and he introduced me to Jack the manager whom sat with me to discuss my sound system and Viper alarm. I told Jack what i was looking for in sound quality and alarm protection. . He explained the different Radios, Amps and Speakers that would achieve my preferred sound preference. He also discussed the different options to the Viper Smart Start alarm that I chose. He saved me money on the sound system and alarm by explaining certain features that I did not need. The quality of the install was better than dealer quality. My Vehicle was treated as his own. I was more than satisfied with the Audio Illusion experience. Also had my windows tinted which came out spectacular. Customer service after the install is top notch. When I call with a question, it is answered promptly, even through facebook. I would highly recommend Audio Illusion for your new , old and custom classic car. John and Jack accommodate the customer 100%. They are on time with their schedule. I have brought 3 of my family vehicles here for numerous installs and have recommended many friends for car, truck and motorcycle installations. All satisfied. Bought a basic Jeep Wrangler and brought it to Audio Illusion to breathe some life into it. This awesome crew, that has the same guys for over fifteen years, installed power locks, power windows, tint, all new speakers, subwoofer, amps, sirens, alarm system, navigation, rear camera, leather wrapped steering wheel, hood lock, and roof insulation !! Not a single issue and fairly priced. More importantly, they stand behind their work. Easy location to find, nice shop with plenty of room (not like many other audio shops which wedge your car close to other vehicles) and really nice guys. What more can I say, they are pros. It's always great to deal with someone who knows their trade. You want it done right, then go to Audio Illusions. Buy a base model and these guys will hook it up for a fraction of dealer cost. Jack and his crew are beyond amazing. I inquired at three different car installation locations about installing HID on 2012 Jeep Liberty and was told at they can't or don't do it. Found #audioillusions on #yelp, all their reviews spoke highly of their work. So I took a leap of faith and it was the best thing EVER!! So good, after they upgraded the lights, I had them install Viper Smart Start and then tinted all the windows. BUYER BEWARE....I went here a few years ago and had an alarm and dash cam installed on our BMW which cost us about around $2,600 which had quite a few problems after installation and before we had it installed with jack we let him know the car was a lease and would it be a problem removing this system before we returned the car to the dealer when lease was up. We wanted to make sure it would not be insanely expensive to remove in 2 and half years after it cost so much to install we were told it would be simple to remove and not expensive at all. Well I called today and spoke to the rudest gentle man named John and he said it would cost $500 just to remove the system when I explained that I had asked about this when it was installed he came out and he said "what do you expect it done for free "with an attitude . I did not expect it for free but when they try to rob us for the second time I think its disgusting!!! I called another place and they said it would cost me $125 to remove the system. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE !!! read more
