I originally called them for water softeners but they obviously do not specialize in it. They only do the installation. I then asked for a rough quote for tankless water heater and they quoted me $6200 which I thought it sounded high. I later found out it would only be about $4000 with other companies and they also didn't mention anything about SoCal gas rebate. Didn't seem professional to me even though they responded promptly to come out for a quote but I got the feeling that they just want to make a quick buck. I didn't end up using their service for obvious reasons. Can't speak for their service since I didn't use it. read more

These guys are ripoff merchants. I had a number of plumbing problems. I had another plumber - not Aid Plumbing - come out. He said he could fix the problems for just over $1000. Aid plumbing guy came out and said it would cost me $5000. Say what now? One of the things the Aid guy said was I need a pressure regulator as my water pressure was too high. This would have dost me quite a bit. My first plumber guy, let us call him plumber X, said pressure was not too high. Either plumber X is incompetent or Aid plumbing flat out lied to my face. I am inclined to believe the latter. I needed my garbage disposal fixed. Aid plumbing said they would need to break through a wall and redo my pipes to fix it. This would have cost me many hundreds of dollars. Plumber X fixed it in 15 minutes for $99. Aid Plumbing guy's name was Miguel. He should be fired. read more

I noticed moisture around the base of my 5 month old toilet which was installed as part of a full bathroom remodel. I contacted the company who performed the remodel and after a few texts and phone calls, the communication dropped off on their end. I decided to move on since it was apparent that they weren't going to help. I did my best to perform a diagnosis by conducting the normal troubleshooting steps e.g. food coloring in the bowl, wiping the area dry followed by flushes etc. My theory was that the wax ring was not making a good seal with the toilet base but I needed a professional to confirm. I sent several estimate requests through Yelp but I ultimately chose Miguel for a couple reasons: * communication was quick * an immediate price estimate was not provided. I appreciated the fact that he wanted to check out the problem first before providing an estimate. This was not the case with most of the other plumbers I contacted. Miguel arrived on time and was considerate in wearing a mask at all times when we were talking. He was also good with using shoe booties when walking on our carpet. The price he charged to reseat the toilet, put on a new wax ring, level the flange to floor height and install new flange bolts was fair. The quality of the work thus far seems good so far: no more unexpected water at the base after flushing. read more

Let me just start off by saying-We are renters. Somehow when any toilet got flushed or even the washer was used, the water would come up out of the shower drain in our downstairs bathroom.
