Sweet Carolina large pizza! So delicious!!
    Crystal R.

After an excellent memorial day spent with friends and a cookout, my roommate and I got the late munchies and had a craving for pizza. I had seen advertisements for Aidan's before but had forgotten about it till then and we decided to give them a try. Aidan's has carryout and delivery specials and offers a pizza with pulled pork, bbq sauce, onions and peppers... what's not to love?!?! I called and was quoted that it would be ready for pick up in 15 minutes. I walked in exactly 15 minutes later and the pizza was being boxed up, talk about perfect timing! Before paying, the man working at the time showed us the Sweet Carolina pizza and cheese sticks (my roommate ordered for herself) and they looked amazing, we couldn't wait to take them home! Once we got home and finally got to try the pizza, it was everything I wanted and more. The sauce was sweet and tangy but sticky in an interesting way--not bad at all. I agree with other yelpers, the sauce was on point! They definitely know how to make delicious pies! I wish the crust was a big crispier but it was still so delicious. My roommate said the cheese sticks were amazing as well! With such friendly and quick service and delicious food, there's no way we won't stop ordering from Aidan's! So excited that a local pizza place is so close by! I only wish they had room for seating since they're open so late (great for late night munchies!)

Even the cheese sticks came out a little too toasted. They also forgot the extra marinara we ordered.

I was a big fan of Aidan's when they opened: great quality and great service. However I guess they no longer care about the first thing anymore. The last two times I've eaten at Aidan's I've been given burnt pizza with barely any toppings. Underneath that burnt exterior, the pizza tastes fine, but definitely isn't anything special. The cheese sticks are good, and the marinara sauce is tasty! (For some reason it is not the same sauce used on the pizzas, which is just average). The pros: ordering is always fast and friendly, and delivery has always been reliable. The pizza comes cooked with some semblance of the thing you asked for. The cons: the quality is average. The toppings are sparse, the crust is burnt, and the taste is boring.

Its a local pizza place. I always prefer local pizza places over the chain pizza places. I would just go for the carry out special price. If you are in Carrboro area than its worth to give them a try In salads seems like they are using fresh real vegetables and stuff

Great pizza. Crust is always good. Never disappoints. Not a huge chain. Price is right.

Great pizza for the value! Not the best I've ever had but exceptionally good for the price! The two specialty pizza special is awesome!

The restaurant sits on Franklin Street, right in the heart of Chapel Hill near UNC. It's a lively, walkable area filled with shops and restaurants. Parking can be a little tricky--we circled a few blocks before finding a gravel lot nearby (free after 6 p.m. and all day Sunday). Inside, the place had an old-school, authentic feel. The staff spoke Italian, which added to the vibe, and the red curved booths reminded me of classic pizza joints from my childhood. The menu is posted on the wall behind the counter, and you order before sitting down. We also noticed their most recent health score was a 99, which was reassuring. My wife ordered the chef's salad, and I went with the meat stromboli. Her salad was fresh, colorful, and much better than the iceberg lettuce you often get. She enjoyed it so much that she finished before my stromboli was ready. When mine came out, it was served on a pizza pan with a side of sauce--it looked and tasted great. It was also clear they do a strong takeout business, with lots of people picking up orders and the phone constantly ringing. Overall, the food was solid, the atmosphere memorable, and it felt like a local institution that's earned its recognition. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Chapel Hill.

What a gem! I…read morefound this restaurant through Yelp and decided to check it out and was truly impressed. I walked in and was greeted immediately. The place was busy and had Italian music playing in the background. It has tables and booths to the side with the main counter at front and you can smell the food as soon as you walk in. It immediately makes you hungry. We were seated at a booth and offered their free focaccia style bread with an olive oil accompaniment, which was delish. The bread was hot and crunchy, but not too much where you could still dip it in the olive oil. We then ordered a personal cheese pizza, the lasagna and the chicken parmigiana (which I didn't photograph). Everything was delicious! Our waitress was very friendly and funny. I would def recommend coming here and checking it out.

They changed the complimentary bread to something that was unrecognizable compared to what they had before and it tasted awful. I ordered my standard baked ziti which was too soupy, the ziti was overcooked and there was barely any mozzarella cheese on top, not to mention the portion seemed smaller than past luncheons. My husband had the chicken piccata that was bland and tasteless. We might give it one more try and if it fails again, well......
