One negative, otherwise great pizza, seating, restrooms etc. Everything is self-serve, when at cash register giving order and paying with card it asked for custom tip, 18%, and higher! This is a serve yourself, clear the table like a McDonalds. Requesting a tip upfront before receiving pizza and being self serving restaurant I found this over and above. Someone brings pizza to table when cooked. Otherwise it's on you. I spoke with the cashier about this and he said it was the owners thing. Seems like money grabbing to me to pay the bills. I think this will chill more customers than is worth it. Maybe not, maybe just me‍ read more

Food and Drink: Mannnnn it has been over a decade since I had last this place and it brought back so many memories of my time in Mebane!! For dinner, I had the Johnson Club, onion rings, and sweet tea. The club was and still is one of the best club sandwiches I've ever had. The amount of protein is plentiful, and the addition of the egg puts this over the top. The restaurant is a bakery so the bread used for the sub is soft and fresh. The onion rings were hot, had the perfect amount of crisp and they were not soggy like other places I've been to. Overall, I left with nostalgia and I am definitely looking forward to coming back! Customer Service: Upon arrival, the waitresses welcomed me in and invited me to sit anywhere. I was promptly tended to and my waitress was soooooo friendly!!! It's the southern charm and politeness I miss the most about North Carolina and neighboring areas. Already knowing the sandwich I wanted, I took her advice between the fries and onion rings and she didn't steer me wrong! I appreciate her work ethic and making sure that everyone in the dining room had what they needed and helping a few others (some first timers!) decide on what they wanted. Ambiance: This place is casual, and intimate in a way. It's not a huge space but it's big enough for multiple groups to enjoy lunch or small families to have a sit-in dinner. I highly recommend this place as a stop on any commute between Charlotte and the Research Triangle Area. read more

This is an ok spot, was in the area for awhile and was looking for lunch. They had a 6 inch Philly cheesesteak combo that came with chips and can soda for $9.95. The sub itself was ok not the best Philly cheesesteak I've tasted but wasn't the worst. It cost more to get the full works because the sub itself came with just lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Overall It's a little cute mom and pop restaurant. read more

Been coming here since I was little. There are new owners but they have kept the quality up so I'm happy with the new owners. They have added a few things also so it's nice to have more options. There are some dishes I wouldn't personally recommend but they do everything else very well. The place is tidy and comfortable. Take away is solid. read more

The baked goods were great. the deli foods were average, nothing was bad but they were uninspiring read more

I recently ordered out a large pizza from this establishment. The new owner used to own Junction on 70 which is where on a weekly basis we would order out for pizza and we had a favorite white pizza that they made. I told the friendly counter girl what we wanted on the pizza and she replied no problem. I was told 20 minutes so i asked if i could wait for the pizza from across the street at the Wooden Nickel while it was being prepared. I can't speak to the ambiance but it appeared the restaurant was a nice place for a sit down. And the pizza was great! read more

The food most of the time is pretty good, but the service is kind of bad on a Friday night. Be prepared to wait at least an hour and still not get your food if you order pizza you wait even longer. read more

Really nice people, good old fashioned pizza place. Great prices. I've never had even a mediocre experience here.

Visiting my mother for the weekend, she couldn't decide where she wanted to eat. When I mentioned that a friend said there was a good deli in town, she immediately said "oh, Martinhos! I forgot about that one! We haven't been in a long time but they have good food". She was right. She had a cheeseburger her way, with lettuce, tomato, Mayo and onion. Looked pretty good and she said it was. I had a veggie sub that had cheese, Mayo, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, and I can't remember what else, and added added the veggie patty mentioned on their other veggie sub. Not sure what brand it was but the patty had good flavor. Since no sides were included we shared the house chips that came with ranch. They were okay, needed more crisp for my taste. Next time, I want to try either their pizza or a pasta dish. Lots to choose from. read more

Ate there tonight for the first time in years. The pizza and Greek salad were delicious! The staff were so friendly and our waitress was awesome! The restaurant has been remodeled and was very nice! I can wait to try something else! read more

I can't comment on the food because it never reached the table. Our group ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and one sandwich. While were waiting for our order, pick up orders were constantly going out the door. After patiently waiting an hour I inquired about our order. I was told there was a back log at the pizza oven. Our pizza wasn't even in the oven yet. My waitress could not even tell us how long it would be. I was given a half sincere apology. We decided to leave and I paid for our sodas. My impression is that their business has outgrown their capabilities. They are unable do both take out and in house dining and do it well. I can't recommend this restaurant for service. read more

Food is always good and the staff is super friendly. Because it is a smaller location sometimes the dinning in area may be full but they do have outside seating. Martinhos never disappoints. read more

So Martinhos is best known for their Italian cuisine and their bakery specialties. I have been able to dine in their Mebane location over a great number of years with family and friends and always found it to be consistent. A small town location with home town service & selection. Kirsten was our server and was on top of things as we drop in on a Friday night at Primetime to find the place packed and folks waiting and a bustling to go business as well. On this occasion I opted to have the chicken cordon blue sub and my wife opted to have the salad and pizza. As for bakery and dessert selections they have a wide variety of delectable goodies to choose from, however on this occasion we were torn between Carrot cake, Baklava to name a few. We later found ourselves deep in a slice of Lemon Cello cake all of which was more than fulfilling! read more

I did not try anything in the bakery. But the pizza was outstanding. Very quality mozzarella cheese.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a turkey and roast beef sub. It was very good and it was huge! Everyone in our party was very happy with their meal. The sub rolls are home made, soft and tasty. We shared a large order of fries that were crispy and hot. read more

A staple in Mebane! Any time we have visitors, Martinho's is definitely on the menu. And just as welcoming with change in ownership!

Waited almost an hour and a half just on food. Multiple people came after us and were served before us and we were almost completely ignored by the staff. We got our food when the store was technically closed already and they still wanted to charge us for a refill. I understand they have policies but it was much that i was asking for. Was family favorite restaurant of mine but never had these problems before, unacceptable. read more

The very best desserts in town! We love to grab a quick bite here or bring it home! Super friendly service and cozy dine in! Love them all but the limoncello cake is to die for! read more

Their food is amazing. It is a little on the expensive side but their Rueben Sandwich is delicious. I wish they offered fries.

If you're in Mebane, you should definitely eat here. One of the best Pastrami sandwiches I've ever had. Damn.

We were able to get the family calzone to share it's enough for four people we actually reheated it for dinner as we are from Durham. It probably is better fresh and hot but it still made a yummy reheat for dinner the sauce on the side was extremely sweet which you couldn't taste in the calzone itself which make me believe that it was two separate batches but I could be wrong. read more

1st let me say this place is busy and a well oiled machine. Great score of 98. Homemade cheesecakes...Taylor pork roll...hot capicola, calzones and strombolis. Worth the wait! The little things get me, they took the time to mark our huge personal calzones by topping the with the toppings ours were...ham and spinach and mushroom and pepperoni. read more

Bought a $40 King Cake on Tuesday. It was so stale that a couple of our dinner guests didn't eat it. Took three calls to get a manager on the phone. All she could say was "I'm sorry." No offer of a price adjustment or a free baked item. Terribly disappointed- will never go there again. read more

I find myself in Mebane once during the week every once in awhile and this is the only place I will ever get lunch. Great family and community centered business in the downtown area. If I could give more stars I would. Try the Philly. read more

Great little Italian place with friendly staff. Love their chicken parm and that they sell pizza by the slice. Great dessert options too! Highly recommend. read more

My mom brought two pizzas and some chicken wings home for my kids and her kids to eat. Chicken wings were spot on, hot and delicious. The pizzas on the other hand were unacceptable. The cheese not even hot, the crust was hard and it tasted as if it sat out for a good amount of time before she picked it up. When they were called there was no accepting responsibility or anything like that. It was nothing but excuses as to why the customer was wrong. Not acceptable. We have been eating there for a long time and have ALWAYS had pleasant experiences. But this one time has ruined it. I know my family will never eat there again. I'm sure they don't care though. read more
