Pizza anyone? Coming into Brenz for the first time to try out their pizzas and had no idea there were so many options. Place is clean with an open window and a bit of seating, but not enough. I noticed a lot of people picking up their pizzas to go and this might be why. Service was great. We were given a few options to try. We went for the chicken wings, a large 16" cheese pizza, a 14" half spicy Hawaiian and ATM (all the meats), a small Greek salad and the Cinnazos for dessert. We had plenty to sample. The pizzas were delicious and I would definitely come back to try different options. The wings, the Greek salad and the cinnazos were okay but nothing to rave about. I would say I am not a fan of how they cut their pizza in squares but that's a preference choice and it doesn't affect the yummy taste. This is still a great option for pizza.

My husband and I visited Chapel Hill over Father's Day weekend. This is the best pizza I've had!!!

I've had very good experiences with Brenz Pizza. The food was hot, tasty, and prepared to the specs that I requested. They will get my business again. Great for a group order also as I have done this for work several times. This time I ordered a chef salad and sweet heat wings. Both very good. Had pizzas in the past which were just as good.

I found this pizza spot through a Yelp search. I became excited to try this place out after looking over the menu. I was intrigued by the Spinach Artichoke pizza. So, I talked a friend into joining me in a visit this place. Kai was very friendly when answering my questions about menu options. She has a great personality and is knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the Caesar salad and the Spinach Artichoke pizza. Both items were flavorful and full of ingredients. The location offers some seating options for customers who wish to eat on-site. The decor is minimal, but the space is clean. This a great pizza spot. I'm positive that Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello would approve.

Whew Chile! I was in town for business and decided to check this place out. I was skeptical going in, but I should know to trust the reviews of my fellow Yelpers. I ordered the rustic pizza and side Caesar salad. Everything. Was. On. Point! The salad has bacon in it (an issue for some but not I) and the cheese and baby croutons with the dressing were delicious. The pizza was fantastic, with the various root veggies, sauce, and sausage. Am 8 inch was enough for me, and I was full afterwards. The inside is like a typical pizza place with bar stools and regular seating. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because they weirdly have no ice machine!

The only times I have ordered from Brenz were on nights when they have a special deal with our apartment complex for half off which happened around once or twice a year and we definitely took advantage of it! It is a bit pricey without the deal, so i usually dont order it. But on deal nights my roommates and I would order personal pizzas and wings for ourselves to last us the whole week haha. They can get pretty busy during those nights but we just order online and then go pick it up ourselves. There's usually still a bit of a wait when we get there but not awful. The wings here are HUGE and I get the hot honey sauce every time. My spice tolerance is pretty low but the sauce is not very spicy so they are perfect for me! I think I've tried every one of their award winning pizzas (and they have a lot which is impressive in itself!) but my personal favorite is still the heritage honey (i really love honey lol)!

Really phenomenal pizza. This place has some pretty thick slices, but I wouldn't say that they are doughy at all. Despite the width, they are easy to bite through and don't leave you feeling like it was all bread. The toppings and sauce were both really well done and something that I really enjoyed were the sweet accents to the pizza. Both slices that I ordered weren't too salty, and the onions and honey drizzle worked really well to create a well rounded pizza. Also when I went, there was only one lady working, but despite being by herself, she was able to handle our order as well as all other orders well. Highly suggest you check this place out.

Top 3 best gluten free pizza we have ever had! My husband & I have celiac so we've tried A LOT of places and this one was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I got the buffalo chicken with mushrooms, which wasn't too spicy. My husband got rustic. They cooked the crust perfectly & didn't skimp out on the toppings. Their salads are also packed with delicious toppings too! Everything tasted & appeared fresh. The employees working were helpful & extremely sweet. Very clean and welcoming environment. We are from out of town but we will 100% be back.

Pretty good pizza. Doughy and crispy at the same time. Crust is nice and good amount of cheese. Got pineapple and pepperoni with spicy sauce (wasn't spicy). Wish they would've put more pepperoni, didn't have much. Personal size was pretty small so would order a bigger one next time.

What is the artichoke sauce like? What all is in it?

It is very tasty. Its base is our creamy ranch dressing with artichoke, garlic, and white pepper. Those are the key ingredients. The Spinach Artichoke pizza it comes on is awesome. Olive oil (no red sauce), cheese, chicken, artichoke hearts,…

The restaurant sits on Franklin Street, right in the heart of Chapel Hill near UNC. It's a lively, walkable area filled with shops and restaurants. Parking can be a little tricky--we circled a few blocks before finding a gravel lot nearby (free after 6 p.m. and all day Sunday). Inside, the place had an old-school, authentic feel. The staff spoke Italian, which added to the vibe, and the red curved booths reminded me of classic pizza joints from my childhood. The menu is posted on the wall behind the counter, and you order before sitting down. We also noticed their most recent health score was a 99, which was reassuring. My wife ordered the chef's salad, and I went with the meat stromboli. Her salad was fresh, colorful, and much better than the iceberg lettuce you often get. She enjoyed it so much that she finished before my stromboli was ready. When mine came out, it was served on a pizza pan with a side of sauce--it looked and tasted great. It was also clear they do a strong takeout business, with lots of people picking up orders and the phone constantly ringing. Overall, the food was solid, the atmosphere memorable, and it felt like a local institution that's earned its recognition. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Chapel Hill.

The place was busy and had Italian music playing in the background. It has tables and booths to the side with the main counter at front and you can smell the food as soon as you walk in. It immediately makes you hungry. We were seated at a booth and offered their free focaccia style bread with an olive oil accompaniment, which was delish. The bread was hot and crunchy, but not too much where you could still dip it in the olive oil. We then ordered a personal cheese pizza, the lasagna and the chicken parmigiana (which I didn't photograph). Everything was delicious! Our waitress was very friendly and funny. I would def recommend coming here and checking it out.

The interior, however, is very casual and family friendly. I ordered a pasta dish consisting of cheese tortellini, pink vodka sauce, shrimp, and spinach. The tortellini was cooked to perfection, the cheese filling and the texture all together was very pleasing. The sauce was delicious and featured roasted cherry tomatoes, which were very flavorful. The spinach was also cooked perfectly, and complimented the vodka sauce very well. The shrimp, however, was very bland; it, strangely, was very crunchy. When eating, it almost had the taste and texture of a baby carrot. The focaccia served complimentary to the meal was delicious! It was light and fluffy. The oil and crushed sun-dried tomato served with the focaccia, though, was also very bland. This could possibly be the quality of the tomato, it may not have even been sun dried tomatoes in the oil, I did not think to ask. The food came out in a timely fashion and piping hot! The server was very kind and personable. One thing I'd like to note is that on the menu, sauce options included an 'Alfredo' sauce and a 'butter and cheese' sauce. Traditional 'Alfredo' sauce is butter and cheese, no other ingredients; so, this was a bit misleading and odd. Overall, I would recommend Magone and will be returning!
