One star, and only because zero is not an option. I scheduled a drain service appointment with Aiello Home Services and confirmed everything by phone the day before. During that call they verified my address and noted exactly where I live. The morning of the appointment I received both an email and a text message telling me the technician was on their way. Forty minutes after that "on the way" notification, I got a phone call telling me they were canceling because I am outside their service area. Read that again. They confirmed my address a full day in advance. They knew where I lived when they dispatched a technician. They sent me en-route notifications. And then, after all of that, they called to cancel for a reason they could and should have caught before I ever made the appointment. I took the day off work to be home for this. That time is gone, and I got nothing for it except a lesson in how little this company values a customer's schedule. There was no due diligence on their end. A service-area check is the most basic step in booking a job, and they skipped it twice: once when they verified my address, and again when they dispatched the truck. Instead of catching their own mistake, they let me burn a day of work and then handed me the consequences. If you are anywhere near the edge of their coverage map, do not assume a confirmed appointment means anything. They will set it up, confirm it, tell you help is on the way, and then cancel after you have already rearranged your life around them. Find a company that respects your time enough to verify the basics before they waste it. read more

Sleazy lying sales tactics don't stop when the sales man leaves. I needed a new central air unit, and the salesman fought hard for me to purchase their furnace saying he KNEW the heater box was cracked. He also included high pressure sales techniques that signing immediately is the only way to save $200 with their coupon. I declined to replace the furnace, then the actual installer looked into the heater while the AC was apart and HE commented that the heater box is in good shape. The AC also came with "free" smart thermostats I can control with my phone. Now over a year later, I get a letter stating they hope I enjoyed my free trial thermostat "service", but now they intend to charge me $200 per year. They never mentioned it was a free trial, and it's not in the paperwork. I'm throwing these things away right after I post this. They were also relentless about making sure I allowed their "free" in home energy assessment, at which time I'm certain they would walk around every corner of my house pointing out every additional nickel and dime they could steal for unnecessary work. I only chose aiello because of their product, not because of their company, i'll never make that mistake again. I'm mechanically Inclined and can watch for this stuff, but I fear for those who aren't and how many thousands of dollars aeillo is able to sleaze out of them. read more

We contacted Aiello for two entirely different matters. The first was for plumbing and the second was for a burst draining pipe for our central air unit. What we thought was a minor plumbing issue, turned out to be major as our water filtration system and water pump required a total replacement. What was to be an approximate few hour job, turned out to be an all day event. However, our repairman, Michael Watkinson, was professional and very knowledgeable and was honest and to the point. He gave us solutions, yet left it to us to decide whether we should move forward with the repair or hold off. We chose to move forward and are grateful that Michael was able to perform the work with outstanding quality. We highly recommend Michael as an experienced plumber who is willing to go the extra mile. Our thanks to Michael for his service. As for the central air unit, our repairman, Amillio, was also excellent. He was able to replace and redesign the draining pipe with a shutting valve and again, he too was very professional, knowledgeable and outstanding. Thank you, Amillio. I would recommend Aiello Home Services to everyone I know. I recently needed emergency service for my A/C which was not working. They told me the price and I agreed to pay. Their tech arrived and found that a friend of my son from out of state mistook the emergency shut off with for a light switch. The tech found the problem with in 5 minutes. Aiello asked for my feed back. I told them though I agreed to pay for emergency service, I felt it was to much for what was done. That I would feel better if they took part of that and donated to a local food bank and that if they did I would match. They agreed and did. Because of that I used them to check and tune my A/C and furnise which has not been done in 12 years. They were very thorough with the work and priced reasonably. Their staff and techs are pleasant and a pleasure to work with. Honest, Reasonable, Reliable. I have found a company I will trust with all my home care needs. Thank you Aiello! I recently converted my home heating system from oil heat to natural gas. After getting the initial gas line installed I then had to choose a heating contractor. I got quotes from six local contractors. I then decided to go with Aiello Home services. There pricing on my new Weil Mclain 97 per cent unit and matching indirect Weil Mclain water was the best of all the others, saving me thousands over other quotes. Aiello inside agent Linda was excellent to work with. She prepared all my energy rebate paperwork for me and my 2013 energy credit paperwork too. Linda answered all my question too. When Aiello did my job they were very respectful of my home. They covered my finished basement rug and were there was going to be heavy foot traffic were they put runners. Lead tech Todd did a excellent job in everything thing he did. He listened to me when I suggested my thoughts on the job details. The whole crew was very good too. They removed my old oil tank which took several men and no mess at all. I must say Aiello is the best contractor so far in my life I ever worked with. We had new counter tops put in and needed a plumber to install our new sink once the counter tops were in. They were here for less than an hour and charged us over $1,000. Two days later the piping they installed got disconnected and water leaked all over underneath our sink causing water damage to our floors and basement ceiling. We called to have someone come out and it took them two hours and several more calls for them to finally give us an idea of when they would show up. They told us it would have to wait until the next day because they were too far away, only to find out they were the next town over. We were told a manager would call us first thing the next morning in order to assess the damage and discuss reimbursement options. By noon the following day we still had not heard from the manager despite several attempts to call and contact him. He finally returned our call several hours later only to tell us he did not have time to come to our house to assess the damage that day. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more

I have worked with Aiello Home Services on several occasions for various reasons (plumbing, electric, etc.) with each experience outstanding in every way. Approximately a week ago, I called them at 11:00 A.M. to install three lighting fixtures. Although this is a job I can typically do myself, I had a lot on my plate and really just wanted to get it done fast and expertly. Matt Rose showed up about an hour or so later, installed all three fixtures in about 35-40 minutes and was out the door 5 minutes later. Matt was polite, careful, respectful of our home, personable, efficient and very professional. Aiello is typically more expensive than most any other contractor given the near immediate response you get but if you want it done "now", know they will show up when they say they will (unlike many contractors) and want it done well, by all means call them. I will always call Aiello under those circumstances! They have done a great job for us every time they have come with no exceptions. read more

I had made a stupid mistake and touched a switch on my thermostat which kept my A/C air handler running constantly. I did not notice the mistake, so I requested a service call from Aiello. The technician arrived on-time, he was friendly, professional and courteous. He walked over to my thermostat, noticed the switching error and corrected it. Total time: 15 seconds. Basic cost of the visit (which I knew in advance) was $69 + tax, which I paid without complaint. However, I did mention to the technician that it might be appropriate for the folks in the office who set appointments to ask a couple of basic questions before dispatching a technician because this visit was a waste of both his time and my money. He assured me that the people in the office were incapable of asking even a simple question such as: "Did you check the switch on the thermostat?" So overall this experience was disappointing although our prior experiences with Aiello were generally quite satisfactory. read more

I called Aiello last night to make an appointment for this morning, as my furnace had stopped working. I was given a time frame of 7am-8am. Shawn F was in my driveway at 7am sharp. He introduced himself, asked for a run down and walked me through everything he was doing/looking for . He discovered the issue almost immediately, and had my furnace back up and running in no time. I have never met a more polite, courteous and professional technician. He made sure all of my questions were answered. He also gave me a step by step explaination of service and product costs. I was never caught off guard by a price no matter how big or small the amount. Which I should also mention, as most of us in this economy work and live paycheck to paycheck, i found Aiello to be very affordable. I recently had to replace my central air conditioning unit and after calling around for prices, I decided to go with Aiello. Absolutely the write choise. First off, I was fully informed of what was going to take place from start to finish, I was told of any uncertainties (none thank goodness) that could have been a problem. Once all the detail were worked out and the day came for installation, I was totally in awh with the team that showed up. Not only were they well informed as to what needed to be done, they were very polite and kept me informed as to thier every move and as to why it needed to be done. Excellent from start to finish. The salesperson came out very quickly and received my quote as promised. The next day a technician came out to assess the project to quote properly. Aiello had the best approach to the installation of my ductless a/c system. Price was higher than others but they matched as promised. I went with Aiello because they were the ONLY company to suggest this particular installation method....3 other companies couldn't even think of it. Install crew arrived on time...were polite and took great care of my home. As the day went on more and more crew arrived....it appeared that as some crews finished other jobs they joined and helped out...I have never seen anything like it. I needed an emergency outdoor sewer repair in my back yard. I got 4 other estimates from other companies and Aiello was the best bid. Low price, FAST response and good plan. Angelo and Frank swept in, got all the permits and were working in my backyard the next day. The problem was it was during ice rain in the middle of winter, they fought hard and dug a 25 foot deep trench to get to all the lines replaced and working. They filled in everything and we were good the same day. The only problem was the weather; the yard was all back in place, but there was no grass and rocks all over. They assured me that they would come back in the spring and fix it all up, and they did. Frank spent an entire day getting everything graded and re-seeded, landscaping my yard back to perfection. BEWARE....WILL RIP YOU OFF! My water pump crapped out yet again for the 3rd time in 5 years. And have always called aiello. Well come to find out, I've gotten ripped off for years now! NEVER got quoted the job from the start, like they say they should. AND I wasn't even home at the time they showed up. Came home to them sitting in front of my house waiting. My boyfriend was all ready to do the job for me, but he persisted to come and look anyway. 10 minute and $100 job turned into $1500 job. Same exact model number pump I can buy at home depot for $230 And put it in myself. Manager at aiello is telling me their pumps verses home depot are manufactured differently when I also called local plumber warehouses and they manufacture same pumps for $300. So tell me how you are able to charge $1500??! Sooo beyond aweful and WILL NEVER call you guys again! read more

We awoke to a soaking wet floor from a shower leak. We turned the water off and called another company.. The receptionist was so nasty and could not "promise" a tech could get out to us that day.. so great 24hrs with no water.. I immediately thought of the commercials.. "call Aiello".. so that is exactly what I did.. The receptionist was so pleasant and helpful and said she could definitely help.. a few short hours later Stacy C, the plumber arrived. He was so nice.. he immediately figured out the problem.. he had the right part ON THE TRUCK.. so it was fixed right then. The part, however, was not the right finish, he ordered the part in the right finish and came back a week later to make the exchange We could not have been happier. I had called two other service providers in the area before contacting Aiello. Neither answered the phone and I left voice messages for both. For one, I left two messages. I never received a call back from either one. I then called Aiello Home Services. I spoke to someone on the first call and had an appointment that afternoon. An email was sent within 1 hour letting me know who I had talked to at the office, and who the technical person was that would be coming to my house. These included names and pictures. About two hour later, I received an update letting me know the technician had changed. He arrived within the scheduled window, and called on his way to let me know he was on his way. Rocco was the plumber who showed up within the window of time given to us and fixed our plumbing issue in a thorough timely manner. He handled some unpleasant tasks required for this particular job well. He was upfront about the cost before doing any of the work, so we were informed to make a decision we were comfortable with. He shared what the problem was and answered our questions that we asked while he worked. I was very hesitant prior to his visit based on poor reviews of this company, but the reviews weren't necessarily related to plumbing services. I had Steve S. come to my home to perform a system check on my System 2000 boiler and it was a very pleasant experience. He thoroughly went through the boiler and even replaced all my thermostat batteries. He explained every step of what he was doing before he started, during and after. I couldn't have been more informed about my boiler and how it works. He made a few adjustments and now my boiler is running even more efficient then it was and it was pretty good to start with. Steve is very respectful and courteous to his customers and their home. He is a good face of Aiello Home Services. Every interaction with Aiello was professional. When I called to make an initial appointment I was shocked because they could have had someone out to our home that day! Wasn't expecting that! When the tech did come out he determined immediately that unfortunately we needed a new AC system. They sent their consultant out in an hour. He was courteous and professional. We closed the deal with him as the other vendors we called couldn't send someone out for a week! It was blistering hot, and we needed a new system asap. All in all a very good job. I had well pressure system entirely replaced, two laundry faucets replaced, and a shower water control valve replaced. Everything was perfect except tub spout is not properly sealed to prevent water from entering the hole where the pipe enters tub. Simple fix from Home Depot. I only give three stars due to the price. Very, very expensive. This was an emergency since we needed water to live in the house, otherwise I would of shopped around. But we all know plumbers are expensive and Aiello was able to send out a professional plumber to do the job in short order. So the high price is to be expected.
