Which explains why we headed over to Avon Plumbing and Heating to chat with Showroom Consultant Margo who was super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and was a real pleasure to work with. We ordered a full replacement for toilet #1 and a "guts replacement" and a new seat (the old one had cracked) for toilet #2. A few days later, the job was done, and I want to also give a shout out to Office Manager Cam and Andy, the plumber who handled all of the work at our house. We recently used Avon Plumbing to renovate our bathroom and add a soaker tub. Margo was very helpful in showing us options to fit our space. She followed up with us along the way and made sure our needs were met. The installation process was professionally handled with a daily task list. I purchased a kitchen faucet at Costco for replacing my current kitchen faucet that was very hard to actuate. I tried to replace it, however I ran into a roadblock. Called Avon Plumbing, Peter, the plumber came out, very gray older man, late fifties or early sixties. Peter couldn't identify the existing faucet, so he didn't know if he had any replacement parts. So he choose to replace the kitchen faucet with the Costco replacement. The shutoff valves were seized with hard water deposits & he couldn't free it up, so he replaced these two valves. Peter then replaced the kitchen faucet. Peter, worked fast, was very knowledgeable & experienced. (that's why I stated his age) The final bill was $361.71 for parts & labor. Peter was here for 1.5 hours. Avon Plumbing was pricy, but worked quickly & did good work. read more

Disappointing. Supposedly the quality of fixtures are supposed to be better than someplace like Home Depot. We spent quite a bit of money on bathroom and kitchen faucets and knobs but when the kitchen counter soap dispenser no-longer worked properly after a couple of years, the sales person here referred me to the manufacturer. I would expect as much from Home Depot but hey, I spent a lot of money here. You'd think there would be something they could do or would do. I never bothered with the manufacturer. I bought a new built in counter soap dispenser from Amazon for $20 that compliments the gooseneck faucet and it works fine! Honestly, not sure I'll ever go this route again unless I'm looking for something special and unique that I can't find anywhere else. But I WILL look everywhere else first. This will be the last place I go. read more

A few Saturdays ago I went down into my basement and discovered a flood of Biblical proportions. I called Avon Plumbing, and John came out to my house in West Hartford within an hour. He quickly identified the problem as a backed-up sewer and referred me to an outside specialist expert on this type of situation. The pipe was soo cleared, and, the semi disaster area was power-washed and disinfected by other outside specialists. A great job! It was the second time Avon Plumbing came to our rescue this year. read more

Bought over $5K in products, had extensive plumbing work done, very sloppy And still leaking. Will never recommend ever again.

We had our kitchen remodeled by Avon Plumbing & Heating, and every facet of the job was handled with top notch craftsmanship and professionalism.  From a new quartz countertop, sink and faucet, customizing cabinet doors, repainting select areas, new lighting, bumping out a wall for a custom fit around the main fridge, and building a cabinet for a separate mini-fridge to sit in. The project manager Stacy and designer Sheree were very helpful and easy to work with. The carpenters Joe and Chris, and the lighting guys Dave and Ryan, were also great to be around and work with.  Everyone kept to their schedule and gave expert advice that helped create a kitchen that is not just beautiful, but also much more functional.  Two very high thumbs up!" read more

A very respectable company. Avon Plumbing did an old house bathroom renovation for us. Our project manager, Stacy Moore gave us an agenda and followed it to a T. All the workers from demolition to product delivery and installation were excellent. All product recommendations were from Laurah Lennon were detailed and comprehensive. The project went very smoothly and the final product looks like a magazine ad. Thank you Avon Plumbing, your bid was competitive and project completed on schedule. Extremely unreliable. They showed up to check out the work, the guy who came was knowledgeable but he disappeared saying he will go to the office and get back soon. I was waiting all day for him to come back and there was no show. I gave them benefit of doubt and thought they will show up next day but no show , no response. Very disappointed with service. read more

Contracted avon plumbing to do my newly remodeled kitchen! I have heard many horror stories about plumbers and pricing and availability. This was the most pleasant experience by far. First and most important is customer service! You can't imagine how stressful it is being without a kitchen for any period of time so when I called and talked to Stacy her friendly demeanor and expertise were a huge comfort. One night I was concerned and emailed Her at a very late hour....and she responded very promptly Keith the service manager came over to quote and was very patient and exceeded our expectations! They held to the figure which was not overwhelmingly high. Then a very knowledgeable and fine young man named Bill came twice and both times very punctual and extremely good at what he does! My condo flooded top to bottom in January due to a plumbing problem that was in no way a fault of Avon Plumbing. This occurred at 3AM and as I knew they would, they were there for me, along with the police and the fire department. The remedial work took months whileI waited in a hotel. A couple of weeks later, in another bathroom, I again had a flood, this being caused by my lack of attention to a 30yr. old toilet,but the water again spread and was spewing out of my dining room light fixture downstairs. This was on a weekend. Before I could even try to explain to the police where to shut off the water in the basement, Jim was at the door. I can only say that I am having my third bathroom checked out now, and Jim made sure I was good to go. Avon Plumbing has a fantastic team, always have their parts on hand,and even showed up with a new water heater a few years ago when mine let loose and flooded the basement. I am always comforted by the fact that they will arrive as soon as possible in any emergency, with a great attitude, a sense of caring, and respect for the customer and their home. I can leave the house if I have to, knowing they will do their job, lock up for me, and all will be well when I return. Had them come out to quote a boiler installation for radiant heat after our current system died. They came out and looked at the set-up and were going to go back to office to send us a quote. Given he saw we did not have heat, he would have something to us shortly. After not receiving anything from them after three days, we followed up with an email and still no reply. I will not consider them for any work going forward. read more

I had Avon Plumbing & Heating Co. come out to fix a running toilet in my master bathroom on 10/16/09. I paid $158.77 for parts and labor. The parts were a Fluidmaster Pro 45 and a Frugal Flapper. The parts cost $22.77 and the labor was $136.00. On 11/26/09 it started running again and I called on Dec. 1 to have them come out and fix it. They said it was not covered, only for 30 days. So basically they did shoddy work with cheap materials that you can expect to only last for a little over 30 days because it is the same exact problem with the new Fluidmaster that they installed. I would not recommend them as as plumber because they can't even fix a running toilet. The plumbers name was Dave M. Basically they are useless. read more
