I really lucked out getting Robert and Lee. They moved my mom back in May and they did such a great job, I requested them specifically for my own move in June. They both worked really hard the entire time, they were careful not to damage any of my furniture, they quickly reassembled my things, and they made friendly conversation as they were working. They aren't the expectant, entitled types (like "give me refreshments" and "you better tip me" and "you have too much crap"). You can tell they are gracious people. If you get lucky, maybe Robert will recite the various phrases in other languages he has learned over years of moving his clients. Would book again! read more

They moved all of my stuff from a 2nd floor apartment into a storage unit in under 3 hours. Both guys were really nice and pricing was about average compared to other moving companies in the area. I will definitely use them when we move into our new home in a few months! read more

I could not say enough good things about Aikman Moving! Everyone was extremely courteous and professional during the entire moving process. Starting with the scheduling process, which was easy and they even called to confirm with me a few days prior. Then 02/15/2020, the day of the move, Robert and Lee arrived a few minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time to walk through my apartment and make sure they knew exactly what needs to be moved. Afterwards, they did not waste a single minute, they immediately pulled their truck around and before I knew it they were carrying furniture back and forth. I lived on the third floor in a 2 bedroom apartment, no elevators and a very narrow turn in the staircase, and no matter the obstacles, these guys had my apartment cleaned out in 45 minutes. They arrived at the house promptly and again immediately started unloading, they were taking extra care not to damage my furniture or any walls along the way. They were out the door in 2 hours. Aikman moving did a very good job! They were quick, efficient, and handled everything with care! They got there 15 minutes early. We moved from a 2 bedroom house to a three bedroom house and it took about 3 hours (with the 30 minute drive time to get to the new place). Also, they have a teacher discount so make sure you mention that when you hire them!! read more

On first glance this moving company looked great. Brad, the man who gave us an estimate, was very professional in his manner, dress, and words. He did a great job with the estimate and was very professional and understanding when our move day had to be pushed back by about 2 months. The whole atmosphere changed when the actual movers showed up. They came about 2 hours late because of the rain. It was just a rainy Dallas morning. No severe storms in sight. Every other word out of their mouth was "this isn't my first rodeo." Between the sob stories about how they don't make much money so tips are needed and the refusal to load the truck b/c it was raining my husband and I were not impressed. I strongly considered asking them to remove the items from the truck, and we would find another company to move us. I wondered if our items would ever get to Austin. The 2nd day they loaded the truck (after of course showing up late again b/c of the rain.) Their truck broke down, but they did not tell my husband who was waiting for them to arrive at the storage facility. I just happened to see them getting a jump start at the local gas station. They skirted around this issue when we asked them just saying they were "on their way." After arriving in Austin late in the evening (almost 9pm.) They would only move the furniture and wardrobe boxes into the house. The rest they begged us to leave in the garage b/c they had to get back to Dallas that night, and it was late. They continued to fish for tips the whole time they moved us in. One of the movers even refused to help the others bring boxes in because he was coughing a lot. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in this company and would not recommended them to anyone! read more

Absolutely agree with one of the other reviews, one star is too many. Instead of writing a lengthy paragraph I will sum it up simply: 1. Stole a very expensive ring that fell out of my dresser when they turned it on end AFTER telling me I did not need to remove the jewelry tray. Filed a police report. 2. Broke the dresser in the move and left it standing on end in my bedroom for three days. When they finally came back to "fix" it they did not and subsequently it collapsed on me. Remains broken. 3. Left my children's furniture unassembled also for three days and they had to sleep on the floor. Not a big deal for kids but I had to call multiple times and beg them to come put things together. 4. Charged WAY more than I have ever payed for the many moves I have had to do in my life. And did a much WORSE job than any of them combined. 5. And did I mention they STOLE the only nice piece of jewelry I have ever owned? Look elsewhere. read more

I used Aikman to move from my apartment into a storage unit today, and I can't say enough great things about them! They said they would arrive between 10 & 12, and they showed up at 10 on the nose & got right to work. Everything was loaded up within 30 minutes, and they were friendly & courteous throughout. Getting everything into the storage unit had me nervous, but they used some "creative stacking" to get everything in with plenty of room to spare. I will definitely call on them again next month when I move out of the unit into my new condo, and I will highly recommend them to all my friends! read more

One star is too many. The absolute worst moving company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. My expectations were low and this company managed to disappoint. One kid (bless his heart) and an old guy with a bad attitude showed up to move a house full of furniture, then proceeded to complain about how much work it was going to be to move a house full of furniture..he was late, slow, careless and generally unpleasant to be around... Save your money and your brain cells. There must be other companies that actually want to do this job. Grandpa Nasty would rather be in his Barkalounger with warm beer and Dukes of Hazzard reruns on the television. read more

I used these movers to move 20 miles between hurst and irving. They moved me in 2 hours flat. Very quick. I'm writing this review because I'm using them again soon. We used Aikman Moving to move our things over the weekend. They showed up at the scheduled time. The two young men did a fantastic job! They completed everything in the time frame that was estimated, and they took excellent care of EVERYTHING! So impressed with their service. We are in a temporary place right now and will be moving again in a few weeks. I will def use them again! Prior to choosing a moving company, I went on line and got quotes from several businesses, and then read a reviews on the BB. I read a review from a former customer who had complained about Aikman Moving Service. After reading the response from Aikman Moving, it made me want to give them a shot. I know from past experience, the customers sometimes think that a business owner should treat them like royalty, regardless of how the customer treats the business owner. I was right to go with my instinct and trust them to do the job. They did an excellent job, and I couldn't be more pleased with their service. I highly recommend them to help you move. read more

I contracted Aikman Moving to Load my furniture for a Long Distance load only for Colorado. The movers did an outstanding job making the truck grow as I was afraid everything wouldn't fit in. The hutch to my desk got damaged only because the high winds blew it off the dolly. Tommy from the office explained the company policy and I admit I felt offended as to the industry standard but, You really can't expect for a moving company to replace or pay for a new hutch top. I received the 64 cents per pound discount on the spot and the rest I claimed on my home owners policy. I was so impressed by the honesty and professional attitude by this company that I hired them again by phone from Colorado to move my Daughter back in Texas. Not only did the movers showed up on time but they made my young daughter feel safe and sound by disassembling and reassembling everything and putting the boxes in the room she asked them to. I was able to pay by phone and all my daughter had to do was relax. Aikman Moving displays pride in the equipment and pride in their job. Thanks again Aikman Moving. I booked this company 3 weeks in advanced and told them it was a 3 bedroom home. They forced me into a 40 foot trailer and charged me 100 per hour. All our stuff fit into a 25 foot pods container. The old man called me on the day of the move to tell me he would be early. Upon arrival he told me he is a man short and could only do one trip. Then the fun starts. He complained the whole time and refused to take boxes because they were 50 lbs. The trailer was not even half full and he said "no more room too bad" so in a nutshell. I paid 300 dollars for basicly nothing. I called him the next morning and at first he played like he didn't know me then he blamed me for supposedly not being ready and it was all my fault. Luckily I have pics off all this. Next the BBB and small claims court. Don't use these guys stick to the bigger moving companies with a better track record. read more

My company used these guys to move 5 offices over 2 weekends. No only are they amazingly fast, I watched one of their young employees stop what they were doing to help an old lady in a power scooter get over a curb. Great guys! read more

My Aikman move started out great, talked a female to make the arrangements. She was very nice and helpful. The move day was a disaster. Supposed to start at 7:30 AM, did not arrive until 9 AM. One of the guys got sick and they left at 12 Noon. The next crew could not come until 4 PM. They arrived and were upset about having to start late and clean up after the other crew. The son working was a great guy and was glad to have him. They could not move all of the things from the house, told me to pick what was important to me. Took apart my Grandsons bed and did not put it back together. Haven't been able to find the screws yet. Called the same female that had been helpful. She said that she would ask the guys where they might be. She said that she would call me after she talked to the guys. Never got that call. Called the office again, no answer. My friends with trucks had to pitch in and help me move my out side furniture, plants and the things that neither moving team would do. I paid both teams for their hours of work. The last team made sure to ask for a tip. I would have given them one without being prompted, if the service had been good. This was a very disappointing experience. Still no way to put my bed together and some of my breakables were noted to be broken when unpacking. The boxes were labeled glass and fragile, but I guess they could not read! Would not recommend them of ever use their services again........ read more
