I really hate leaving negative reviews, especially for a small business. I actually chose this company specifically because I wanted to support a small local business rather than going with a larger commercial cleaning company. I debated whether to even leave this review because I know reviews can affect someone's livelihood, but after paying $350 for a move-in deep cleaning and seeing the end result, I feel like I need to be honest about my experience.
When I initially communicated with the owner, I was told the cleaning would be approximately 4 hours with 3 to 4 cleaners for $350. On the day of the cleaning, 4 cleaners came, but they finished and left after only about 2.5 hours.
When I later questioned why the cleaning ended so much earlier than what I had originally been told, the explanation changed to essentially being that they finished faster because there were more people cleaning. This did not really make sense to me because 4 cleaners was already within the original estimate of 3 to 4 people when I was told it would take approximately 4 hours.
That being said, I honestly would not have cared if they finished in 2.5 hours instead of 4 hours if the house had actually been thoroughly cleaned. My issue is not simply that they finished early. My issue is that they finished early while so many things were still visibly dirty.
The biggest issue was the floors. After the cleaning, I took my shoes off and walked around the house and the bottoms of my feet turned black from how dirty the floors still were. I contacted the owner about it and showed her the problem. To her credit, she did come back to clean them again. Unfortunately, after they were cleaned a second time, I walked around barefoot again and my feet still became visibly dirty. At that point, I was extremely frustrated because clean floors are one of the most basic things I would expect from any cleaning service, let alone a move-in deep cleaning.
It was not just the floors either. I found window tracks and trim that were still filthy, the insides of cabinets and drawers that were still dirty, and multiple other detailed areas throughout the house that clearly had not been thoroughly cleaned. Tile and grout cleaning was also specifically discussed and promised to me in our communication before the appointment, and I did not receive the tile and grout cleaning that we discussed.
Their advertisement describes deep cleaning as including their standard cleaning services along with additional detailed cleaning, and their move-out cleaning advertises things like full kitchen cleaning, inside cabinets, deep bathroom cleaning, interior window cleaning, and floors and carpet cleaning. I was booking a move-in deep cleaning, so I reasonably expected that same level of detailed cleaning throughout an empty house.
The owner also mentioned that she needed to leave to pick up her boys, which I completely understand. Things come up, especially when you are running a small business and have a family. If she had told me that they needed to leave and asked to come back later or another day to finish, I genuinely would have been completely fine with that. I would much rather have had them come back and finish the job than rush through it. Instead, it felt like the cleaning was cut short, and then afterward the explanation became that they finished faster because there were 4 cleaners, even though 3 to 4 cleaners was what I had originally been told.
I do want to be fair and acknowledge that the owner responded when I brought up my concerns and came back to address the floors and dirty window trims, and I appreciate that. I gave them the opportunity to correct the biggest issue because I genuinely wanted to be happy with the service. Unfortunately, even after they came back, the floors were still dirty and there were still so many other areas that had not been properly cleaned.
That is ultimately why I am so disappointed. I paid $350 specifically for a move-in deep cleaning so that we could move into a thoroughly cleaned home. Instead, I found myself going through the house afterward finding dirty floors, cabinets, drawers, window areas, and other surfaces that I now needed to clean myself. I am honestly left wondering what was being cleaned during those 2.5 hours, especially with 4 people working.
I don't think this necessarily means they are a bad cleaning company. They may be perfectly fine for standard weekly or routine cleaning where someone just needs general upkeep around their home. However, based on my experience, I would not recommend them for a deep cleaning or move-in/move-out cleaning, especially if you are expecting the detailed level of cleaning that those services typically imply.
I really wanted to have a positive experience with them, especially because I intentionally chose a small business to support instead of hiring a larger company. I really don't enjoy being critical of someone's business.
