Have you ever just needed a tattoo?…read more Well, today was my day. I needed a tattoo. My wife and I went to another shop a few months ago but that shop was closed today. I jumped on yelp and put my feelers out and yelp actually sent messages to several shops for me. Aloha Tattoo responded within just a couple minutes. I walked in and Josh knew who I was because the owner called him and prepped him for what I wanted. Josh quickly got to work on my design. We discussed some color and we were off to the races. Josh was quick, efficient, and his line work is great. If you're visiting the island, Aloha Tattoo isn't in the tourist area but if you're military or live near Schofield then they are in your back yard. I'll be back! Mahalo!!

UPSTANDING, humble guy who is really warm and friendly, on top of being a patient, steady handed tattoo artist. He's honed his craft for sure. The shop is SUPER open, in every way. You walk in and are instantly seen and greeted, whether at the counter or from across the shop by the artists. They're always playing some bangers on the radio, so everyone can settle in and relax off the bat, and they all offer a varying skillset and personality. The shop owner is even an absolute vibe and sticks around to chat & check out the work being done. If you are still searching for a solid artist or haven't been to any shops on island yet--Rising Tide needs to be at the TOP of your list. My girlfriend had a bad experience with Ariel. @hellafreshhawaii My girlfriend had an appointment with her, she shows up at the shop and Ariel didn't even show up or did not acknowledge that she will not make it until a hour after. We were okay with that and didn't mind to reschedule. So the day of reschedule day my girlfriend was unsure if she will make it on time, she messaged Ariel to let her know she will be an hour late. Ariel responded yes that's fine. Now my girlfriend is rushing to leave her job, go home and get ready she realizes after getting ready she can show up close to the original time scheduled. But because they agreed that she will be an hour late, my girlfriend showed up to the shop early but left to eat and come back. Meanwhile Ariel is messaging her but my girlfriend did not respond right away so I guess that made Ariel assume that my girlfriend will not show up at all and was thinking she wants to reschedule entirely. So Ariel practically tells her I was confuse on your appointment so let's reschedule this will be the second time she will not show up to an appointment. So unfortunately my girlfriend just rather go to someone else. Once she told her you know what just cancel the appointment. Ariel just doesn't care and doesn't respond. So now our $325 deposit is gone, what a waste of time and money. I had never had an experience with an any tattoo artist , it's very unprofessional and I hope they don't do it to another because losing a deposit will be unfortunate. Ariel made my girlfriend feel like she didn't want to do the tattoo. As a tattoo artist wouldn't you want your client to feel welcomed and acknowledge. Wouldn't you want to satisfy your client after not showing up the first time? Looks like you don't care. Now we are going to take our money and take it to someone that really cares about there customers cause this place makes you feel like they want your deposit and that's it.
