AIMEE IS AMAZING. I've been shopping around & doing research on micro blading for a WHILE when I saw my coworker had her brows done & was in love. I started following @aimee_french_waxing on instagram & loved her style. There are many microblading artists out there, each with a different style so pick someone who suits your needs. Making an appointment through the Style Seat app was a breeze & finding an appointment to fit my schedule was easy. Aimee comes back & forth from Oahu to Kauai so shes available only certain days. The location on S. king street can be easy to miss if you're not a town regular, but i was able to find it. There's parking up front (with a sign in board inside so you don't get towed) and also street parking. I was really nervous because the thought of micro blading seemed so "permanent." We sat on the couch & talked for a little while I showed her some photos of how I've drawn in my brows. Aimee was really attentive and cared about what I wanted for my brows regarding shape, arch, thickness etc. she then drew up a sample on paper and asked me if this is what I was thinking....yes! Spot on! We then went to the back room to map out my brows on my face & proceeded from there. Aimee is the best!! I found her through a friend who has the most on point eyebrows I have ever seen and she found Aimee through instagram. (If you haven't checked out her instagram, you should because her work speaks for itself, but I am going to keep writing anyways) Aimee's studio space is really cute and looks and feels like it is high end. It is very professional and clean and there is parking right out front. I did get confused the first time I went and parked at Zippy's and walked over because I wasn't sure which building it was, but now that I know I park right out front every time. I having been going to her regularly for a lip and eyebrow wax, which she is amazing at. Some places use guides and map out your brows with pencils before they wax, but Aimee doesn't do any of that. She doesn't need to. She finds the most beautiful, flattering brow shapes in the bushiest of brows without drawing all over your face to prove it to you. She truly has an eye for it. I have eyebrow trust issues and I trust her 110%! I am not sure what kind of wax she uses but I feel like it gets every single hair and I swear it is thinner after every wax. Plus I feel like it is gentle on my semi-sensitive skin. It is super easy to make appointments with her through style seat (they have an app you can download or you can do it through their website). I was skeptical at first because she a little bit more than the place I was getting waxed at before, but now I am a believer! She is worth every penny! Found Aimee on Instagram, and after seeing all her posts, I really wanted her to do my eyebrows. Her location isn't too hard to find if you're familiar with the area. She's right upstairs of Tsunami's Bar & Lounge. Waiting area is cute and chic. I was early for my appt, but I didn't have to wait too long to be seen. I read other reviews about some people not liking Aimee, so I was a bit iffy at first. She doesn't give off the greatest first impression or that "going the extra mile" type customer service, but she seemed like a nice person. My brows are (unfortunately) quite thin already, but I went to her anyway for a wax. I paid $45 +tip to get my brows and lip waxed. For my own personal taste, I feel like I overpaid (considering my brows are already thin, but that's not Aimee's fault!). She pencil drew in where hair was still growing around my brows and suggested not to touch them so that they can grow thicker. Overall, cute salon, okay parking/location, not bad service. read more

I've been seeing Aimee since she was at Hair News and rented out a nice spacious room there. I am very picky about my brows. I don't just go to anyone, so I of course did so stalking on her Instagram, as well as her previous yelp page. It took me some time to build the courage to pick up the phone and book an appointment. You may say that they're just brows/hair and that it'll grow back, but brows are a key feature on your face! Fast forward to now. She is now located on King Street, in the old Tsunami's building. There is a small parking lot behind the building and about 4 stalls on the side of the building, and there is street parking (if available, upon appointment). She is located on the second floor at the end of the hallway. You can't miss her door, she has cute DIY canvases hanging right outside her door. She also has a few bar stool seats outside for clients that are waiting, as well as a fan to cool us down from this Hawaii heat. Don't think that she doesn't know when her clients arrive, because she does have a camera :) Aimee does take one client at a time, so it's more personable and private. She is so super sweet and she converses with you while she is doing what she does best (besides being a mommy) so its not an awkward silence during your appointment. She also has her own brow products that I do recommend, I have not yet purchased it, but she does use them on her clients. Aimee has recently started Microblading which is the new technique of permanent brows. You are also able to book an appointment with her through styleseat.com or through their app, Sign up is quick and easy, you can sign up with your Facebook. And payment is also taken cared of during your appointment (if you have a cc on file through styleseat) She is only on Oahu for a few days out of the week, and she gets booked up pretty quick. So I have never waxed, threaded, shaved, etc done whatever your supposed to do to your eyebrows in my 30 years of living life. No, I have "perfected" drawing in my eyebrows with a combination of pencils & brow pots over the past 15 years. Or so I thought. I will at least give this a 2 star because the place was beautiful and very relaxing. I was a first time customer & thought I would have a great experience doing tinted eyebrows for the first time. But unfortunately I wasn't satisfied with my eyebrows because she made it too thick & on top of that, both my eyebrows were noticeably uneven. My coworker even reacted to how one side had a bald spot & My son even freaked out when he seen me. She could've at least started off with a thinner application & then move forward if I decide to go thicker. I've done threading and have been to numerous places to wax my eyebrows and have always been satisfied, but never thrilled to the point I can't stop staring at them. First visit today, she is very friendly and does not make things awkward. She also stayed on the phone with me until i found her location. My overall experience was great! You have to really trust her because she knows what she's doing. After looking in the mirror while she was applying my tint, i wanted one side of my eyebrows to have a higher arch. I should've kept it the way Aimee had it when she drew it out because my judgement was what made my other eyebrow thicker than it was suppose to be. Microblading with Aimee is the best decision you can make. It's completely worth it because she won't do you wrong and she's the best there is. You can trust her to map out your brows perfectly. I asked for a higher arch since my natural brows don't really have much of one. She was able to give me the most perfect lifted arch! There is minimal pain- she numbs you, so most of what you may feel as the numbing wears off later on in the session is slight burning from the pigment (it feels like you got a small cut on your finger wet). The minimal pain is very temporary and if you let her know you're feeling any discomfort she will add more numbing cream, so it's no problem! The actual microblading that she does isn't painful. Sometimes I'll hear the tiny scrapes happening up there, yet I'm not feeling it. The after-care is very simple and as soon as they are all healed, it's SO worth it when you don't need to wear makeup because you already "woke up like this". I didn't need a touch up until 1 year later. I've also gotten all types of waxing done by Aimee. She is always thorough and professional. And a great person! She creates great relationships with all the clients and takes her time with you when she needs to. read more

My very first visit with her I actually scheduled my appointment for 9am but for some reason thought that it was for 430pm!
