When i called to make an appointment for a brazillian wax we had agreed on the price of $40 which is what is advertised on the front window. I came in and got waxed and only at the end she told me the price is not 40 but actually going to be $70. confused as why the price was changed she told me that she had used a numbing cream on me before starting the wax without my knowledge, i feel like i was taken advantage of and completely disrespected. If i was asked if I wanted to numbing cream which btw was put on right before she put on the wax which didnt give the numbing cream time to take effect before the waxing started. This should have been discussed with me before the wax and not afterwards so i could've had a choice on whether i wanted to continue with the wax or go find somewhere else. This was an invasion of my privacy and I feel like i was cheated. Do not come here. read more

This woman advertises her Brazilian wax as 40 dollars on the door, told us it was 40 dollars on the phone and then only AFTER both me and my friends waxing did she tell us she put numbing on because she thought it would be best for us and it was going to be 70 dollars each. AFTER the fact. We never agreed on paying 70 or wanting numbing. She did it without our consent. What if one of us had an allergy or sensitive skin? Thankfully neither of us do but that is extremely unprofessional. Do not go here unless you want to be unexpectedly charged 30 dollars more for her using a chemical you didn't contwnt to her using. One of us had gotten a waxing before and the other one not. She also had a swastika on her wall so I question the stores values as well. Glad we got ripped off today! Lan's services are awesome! Her place is a whole in the wall but very inviting and clean. It was my first time getting a Brazilian wax so I was so nervous + I'm visiting from Seattle so I didn't know what to expect. From all the other reviews I read, she had great feedback. And I completely agree!! The process was quick, efficient and most specially clean! No double dipping of the wax stick. I also had no idea that there is even a different kind of wax to use down there that help numb the skin so it made it more worth it. Her products are neatly stacked on her wax wall so you can tell she loves her job! I highly, highly recommend her services. Be nice to her, she's a great person too. I really wanted to like this place, so I'd have options, but it was just not to be. I admit, I was overdue, not all crazy '70's action, but yes, overdue. She was very nice, I mean her customer service was on point. My issues are that after I was done, I found patches.....literally PATCHES of missed hair. I really wanted to find a secondary spot in case my wax ninja went on vacay or something, so I would have a back up. I asked for full legs, but found patches of missed hair around my knees and ankles. She uses a magnifying glass with a spotlight, so I thought "for sure she will get all the hair". But....that just wasn't what happened. When I went home, I used some waxing strips to clean up those missed spots, but I just cant see paying for a full wax and Brazilian and still having to clean it up afterwards. My niece had a great experience, which is why I thought i'd try it, but I can't say I had the same experience. She was really very nice though. read more

Lan and her business Fantastic Waxing truly is a hidden here in Oahu. She really is fantastic We were here for one week from California is for our wedding planning trip and to celebrate our engagement. I planned on scheduling a Brazilian with my gal in SoCal but she was booked over a week out. Upon arriving to Oahu, I looked on yelp and Groupon. Places that were reasonably priced around $50 had horrible reviews all around and places with great reviews were $60-70 for one Brazilian session. Lan has not changed her price of $40 (about $42 with Hawaii state tax) in over a decade. I called the evening before wanting to schedule an appt for the following morning. I ran late but Lan was flexible and accommodating. Which a lot of aestheticians don't do. Upon arrival, she sanitized my hands and we both wore masks. She locked the shop door for safety during our session. The waxing room is draped for additional privacy. The other thing that I thought was really cool is that she offers the "numbing" gel if you have low pain tolerance. She offered that to me but said that didn't suggest it because the gel is pricey ( $25) and she said that judging from what I had going on down there, that I'll feel it a little bit but I could do without the gel. And she was right! It was surprisingly painless (I would say I have moderate pain tolerance levels). To reference, I hadn't waxed for MORE THAN 9 weeks. So, my hairs were quite long and full (sorry for the visual) but it was not cute down there. That's what I'm sayin though: Lan was awesome because it honestly didn't hurt. She also removes most hairs with the hard wax which I LOVED. this was my first experience with this style. Even the expensive "boutique" waxing salons I've been to only use hard wax a little bit towards the end for ingrown and getting the small hairs. She also really cleans up all the tiny hairs which some places don't do. After she was done, she applied a post-waxing gel and I noticed my skin calm down immediately. I've also been to multiple aestheticians and salons and no one has ever offered post-waxing gel. I've been to one studio that uses this oil spray but that irritated my skin. Please give Lan a call. She is the sweetest lady and is so reassuring and calming throughout. We are coming back next year for our destination wedding and I am definitely going to call Lan PS- she only accepts CASH & you can park in the back. read more

Went here a couple weeks ago when I was in Oahu and was in desperate need of a wax upon landing. I called around and everyone seemed to be booked through April - luckily I stumbled upon this spot on Yelp and gave them a call. Lan said yes, I'm available now come on over! Her spot was quaint and wonderful - she was quick and very personable, and even had a movie playing for me while I got my wax! Her price was unbeatable - $40 (wow!) all the other places in Honolulu were $60+. This place is great! I made an appointment, but I came 15 minutes early and she saw me right away. It was a small shop, but very clean. She took me to a private room on the side and shut the door. There was a huge tv that I was able to watch while she did her thing - it was a nice distraction. Before we got started she gave me a bag of moon cakes, which are quite pricey and is super generous!! She used two different waxes. The first was a greenish colored hard wax. After removing the hard wax she went back through with a brownish wax to get the remaining hairs. She worked extremely fast! I was done in fifteen minutes. Oh, she also used this nice cool spray before and after the treatment. She's wonderful! For the quality of the treatment the price was amazing!! It was $41.88 with tax. Most places are $55+ so, this is the cheapest I've ever seen offered. Absolutely no double dipping either. They're located across from Leonard's bakery. You need to check this place out! One and done, never again. Lady was nice, but that was about it. Honestly, it was the most painful and expensive first time experience. For one, I was told over the phone that a Brazilian wax was $40 - reasonable. After my appointment, I was charged $40 and tax + additional $25 for numbing cream that was offered, but never disclosed was an extra cost, and the thing didn't even work! I was in pain most of the time, so in total, I didn't pay $40, but $70 for a Brazilian wax!!! On top of that, there was still hair down there. To add to that, the place itself, the facility and it's location looked sketchy. It sits right next to a liquor store and the waxing shop itself isn't the cleanest and nicest, so overall, it had a really bad and scary vibe. And it was only last year, the area was raided by cops for illegal activity, so can you imagine the things that went down in the area. Ugh, now I'm left cleaning up the strays down there while getting through the fact I coughed up $70 for a bad waxing job. Take my word and do yourself a good one, please stay away from this place. You're better off getting a great quality Brazilian wax somewhere else at a lesser cost. read more

drove by and the sign said $40 brazilian wax. i checked out their reviews and they were mostly positive so i figured i had nothing to lose Lan was super friendly - great customer service. the wax job itself, however, was subpar. i asked for a landing strip and the strip ended up curved.. there are LOTS of strays left down there (i will have to pluck them later).. and when i left there was still wax residue on my skin, making it painful to walk as my raw skin kept sticking together. it's been a couple hours since the wax and my cooch is still extremely irritated and raw. tried to remove the remaining wax but it's still sticky. i've gotten brazilians done before but never had these issues. not sure i'll be back read more
