After spending a week in Waikiki, I'm now back in California, but I didn't want to forget to leave a review for this wonderful nail salon. Tami carefully took care of my pedicure and trimmed the corners of my toenails, while Phuong did my manicure. I was truly impressed by how quickly they worked and how beautiful my nails turned out. I received so many compliments on them afterward! Everyone at the salon was very friendly and welcoming. I happened to walk into this salon without an appointment, and I feel so lucky that I did. Considering its central Waikiki location, where rent must be very expensive, the prices were surprisingly affordable--even lower than many nail salons in California, where there is so much competition. I got a manicure. Walk in was accepted. There were three of us. We picked this place cause it was close to the hotel and walking distance. Anna was very kind and sweet. She did a great job. Despite being on the smaller side, this nail salon makes sure everyone is getting quality service. I made an appointment for 12pm and arrived a little early but it wasn't a problem- they let me sit in the massage chairs until they were ready. I was very fortunate to be helped by Tami herself. I'm never good at picking my color, so I just said something Christmas-y. Tami selected colors for me that were perfect. Oh man this place was SHOE BOX TINY! I wanted a pedicure too bad and should have went somewhere else! The water was cold which I actually didn't mind and got such a hot day it was refreshing especially since they didn't have A/C. They are under construction badly and said they have been like that for months. They only took cash so after you finish they walk you around the corner to get cash out of the atm. Feels sketchy. Then my nails... all polish was coming off the pedicure as she was finishing she fixed it and once I got out side one nail came completely off and by the time I got on our cruise ship another came off. With in less than a week I had 4 nails of gel polish come off and my pedicure alone was $90! I asked for just a simple French tip and she added flowers and design. I've never had polish come off like that before normally my toe nail polish lasts a few months. read more

BEST NAILS IN HONOLULU! Arriving Hot off a plane from California, not having my nails done was a big-time stressor. After checking a few different places and laughing at the ridiculous prices, I happen to stop into Tami-A Nails. Right away, Yen greeted me with a huge smile and actually listen to what I wanted done. There was no pressure and no upsell. She and Tammy worked on my nails and my toes and even suggested that I do the dip. Again, no pressure and no up sale. Their work was phenomenal, they were extremely sweet, they made sure that my chair was comfortable with pillows and a towel, and I got a deluxe hand and foot massage and the price was phenomenal. I will be sharing this information with all my friends and I look forward to coming back a few more times this year and going straight in to see them. They have a customer for life. I received 5 star service with an amazing massage. Holly was excellent, I had to rush and she really encouraged me to stay so my toes could fully dry and so did her colleague, but I HAD to leave out. I of course smudged my nails later. The next morning I came back and ask for a touch up and Holly was able to get me in! She is so sweet and very professional making sure the quality of her work reflects her standards. She took her time, fixed everything perfectly, and made me feel completely taken care of. The girls who work there are very judgmental, and you can tell they're talking about you, which makes the whole experience uncomfortable. Also, making an appointment doesn't seem to mean much. Girls, please be careful. I did not feel safe at this place. First, the staff were very rude to me. Then, when it was time to pay, they wouldn't let me review the bill before charging my card, which is something I've been able to do everywhere else. They took my card first, and when I asked to see the bill, they became angry, started yelling, and refused. Later, I met some of the women who had been there before me, and I realized I had been overcharged for the same service. One employee named John became very aggressive when I asked for a receipt. He started yelling and acted as if he was going to confront me physically. Based on my experience, I did not feel safe there, and I would not recommend this place. read more
