Great experience- Aimee was very thorough with my intake. She also sanitized my skin as she went along - I have had Electrolosis before and had little white bumps after because I think my skin wasn't properly disinfected before and after. I had been getting laser on my face for years and it just doesn't get the hair as well as Electrolosis. So I quit the laser and came back to this method - found Aimee on Yelp. Aimee is an incredibly warm woman and makes you feel comfortable the moment you step into her office. I had never done electrolysis before and frankly didn't really know what to expect. Aimee explained the process/gave a demonstration as well as did a very thorough job, all the while engaging me in conversation and and making me feel completely at ease. Amy is great, very professional, very nice and she's certified so she knows what she's doing. I've been to 2 different electrolysis places and Amy was better because she uses numbing gel on sensitive areas and she's really good at getting little hairs the other person missed. Just make sure you're relaxed and don't drink any caffiene before your appointment or that will make you tense and sensitive to pain. Otherwise it was not bad at all for me. The appointments go by surprisingly fast as long as I don't have any caffeine that day. read more

She is a sweet person and a decent communicator. But her technique is the most painful that I have ever experienced for an electrologist. She puts the needle into a pore and then MOVES before she zaps the hair root. This causes excruciating pain for no good reason. She needs to zap the hair immediately after insertion, and deal with things like positioning the skin, removing dead hairs, etc. WITHOUT THE NEEDLE IN YOUR SKIN. Perhaps she could work with an experienced electrologist to see the difference between painless and painful technique? I say this as a constructive suggestion because she is a sweet person and seems dedicated. But with her current technique, I would not return to her. read more

This was my first experience with electrology and I went into the whole thing a little nervous. Aimee is so personable and she immediately puts you at ease! She also gives great tips to minimize discomfort (I now chug water before-hand, it helps to be hydrated) and she is always checking to make sure you are doing ok. She is very knowledgeable and has a great rapport with her clients. Even though she has a very full schedule she is willing to work with you to make sure your appointment is convenient. Yes, electrolysis is a painful procedure. After a year or more with a previous technician who was less inclined to use the strength I needed to remove the hair permanantly, I came to Amy, After one treatment, I'm not noticing any regrowth after 6 weeks. I'd rather have fewer painful but effective treatments. The time and money spent on the previous technologist, I'm now regretting... ask for the numbing gel to put on at home in advance of your treatment - it makes a big difference. I also wasted a lot of money on laser treatments that don't work for auburn hair or blonde hair. I'm very happy with Amy! read more
