Mixed reviews on file for sure - I am reviewing the doctor, not the clinic ...although I'll include my thoughts on the clinic. Dr. Yin was fantastic!! I've been seeing Dr. G for probably three or four years and have no complaints at all. Because she only works a couple of days a week, I had trouble getting into her schedule in a reasonable amount of time so I scheduled with Dr. Yin - just an annual skin review (Scottish/Irish fair skin.) Dr. Yin just had such a great energy ...enthusiastic without being saccharine sweet, energetic, really easy to talk with ...and very empathetic. I highly and confidently recommend her! The clinic - average. 11:10 appointment got in at 11:30 ...I feel like that's kindof disrespectful of my time; however, I assume that some people are late to their appointments and the office schedule isn't totally under the practitioners' control. IF you schedule, ask for Dr. Yin - you won't be disappointed! read more

Originally saw a Dr who asked me to schedule a follow up. I did only to find out she had left and had to book a new appointment with another Dr much further out. The new Dr told me nothing about my skin condition and said to wait it out and it would clear up. It hasn't and called back as I told them my wedding was coming up and now won't see me or accommodate me. 3 appointments, 2 visits, and terrible communication and working with the client to help them. read more

Used to be good when my doctor was there. Since she left I was given to a PA and they keep rescheduling my appointments. And it ends up being 6 months out at least each time to get in. I'm Looking for another doctor now. I need a simple skin check annually and I'm going in 2 years now with the rescheduling. read more

Wow!!! Will not go back.. The office rescheduled my appointment without telling me and continued to send reminders about the original time. When I showed up at my original appointment time, front desk woman told me I had changed the appointment by myself (false) and couldn't explain why I received multiple confirmation texts and emails about the original time. Refused to see me at my appointment time but said I could wait around for the day (I arrived at 8AM) to "maybe be seen" ... terrible customer service at the front desk and zero accountability for their mistake!! read more

ok, is it Advanced Dermotology or US Dermatology? Either way this is not the place to go if you are worried about your skin. They are not worried about your skin. I was told I can have a skin check 1x a year. I'm a 68 yo red head, that's lived in Denver all her life. Or I could get a five min appointment but you can only have 3 things on your skin checked, I have 5. I had an appointment and went in, took 45 minutes to get there. someone had made my appointment for 2024? It's 2025. They didn't even have on their books I had been there 3 months ago. I could get come back in a year or have a 5 minute appointment in 3 months. Come on, doctors are not what they use to be that's for sure. They have let insurance companies take over their practices. Giving them 5 minutes to see a patient. Its disgraceful. Looking for a new Dermatologist ! read more

I unfortunately did not have a good experience here. The front desk staff were unprofessional and rude. They were much more invested in a slasher film on a large TV in the waiting room than actually working. They then loudly chatted about the movie while I waited for my appt... I was also told by multiple staff to "schedule an annual skin check, it's covered by insurance!" so I scheduled one and got charged $313 for a visit I didn't actually need. I was told "covered" can mean anything and "it's my responsibility to know that". They waived the fee after I complained but I would just ask the staff here not to convince people to schedule annual visits by making them sound free or affordable with the verbiage, knowing that the patient could owe hundreds of dollars. I work in healthcare and am well aware that insurance is a scam but I would hope my doctors are more transparent than this. read more

I had the most pleasant experience I've ever had with a medical provider at this office. Dr. Giovanielli was very kind and provided me with honest recommendations and it didn't feel like she was trying to make money on me, but genuinely tried to help, even provided me with free samples instead of selling me a medication. I came in with a lot of different questions, one of which was a scar on my face that they were able to resolve the same day with a laser treatment. I am so grateful for their care and won't go to any other dermatologist after this experience. read more

Don't expect to get any response if you attempt to reach out to any provider at this so-called business if you need answers to questions or prescription refills. Extremely rude patient coordinators as well as terrible interaction with providers. They rush you through your appointment and don't consider any type of bedside manner. read more

Nickel and dime you and won't send itemized statements for charges when asked. * IN ADDITION-DO NOT GET BLOODWORK DONE. They don't tell you it will be over $1000 and billed as "elective" which insurance never pays. Even though it was for "medical" reasons, they coded as ELECTIVE and didn't ask me or I would have said no thanks. Took me a year to pay off and results were absolutely worthless. After waiting about 4 months to get into this office, I was, unfortunately, disappointed. I met with P.A. Ken Wright and he barely spent 5 minutes with me. He didn't look closely at my specific skin condition, but he seemed to just put me in a generalized bucket and give me what he gave to everyone else. He even seemed perturbed when I asked questions related to my condition, while my last dermatologist in Chicago was more compassionate and spent the time with me to understand my condition and make sure I understood the treatment. It has been about 7 weeks since I met with Ken and I haven't noticed any improvements whatsoever. Very disappointed with the visit, the wasted time, and the treatment. read more

I have never been frustrated and angry of my first time been to a clinic like this and I never left a negative review in any places I have been before. This place is the first. I had an appointment on March 1st with Dr.G, because they were fully booked and busy so I did not mind waiting until my turn at all. However, when I arrived to the appointment, I provided my insurance ID to the front desk and met with Dr. G about my acne concern. The whole consultation lasted 5 MINUTES, she looked at my skin and suggested some dermatology approved skincare products like Cerave which everyone has already known, she did not even check on my skin until I asked her whether my acne was fungal acne, then she started opening the light and touching on my face to look at it better. At the end, she listed a clinic's acne treatment for me and I bought it with more than $40. I have been using more than a month now but not seeing any change at all, but I'm being very understandable about that. Until I checked out and bought that treatment, I have asked and double checked again if my insurance already covered and no need to pay anything extra (I'm a foreigner student so I always ask to make sure I got my ass covered in any clinic I've been to), and the front desk lady told me that I am good to go. Today, I received a bill that sent to my address and required me to pay the bill MORE THAN $350 in total for A NEW PATIENT/FIRST VISIT that I went to more than a month ago. Yes $350 plus $40 more treatment for ONLY 5 MINUTES VISIT and got nothing better. I was shocked looking at the bill and wondering how they make money so easily? I did not expect my skin to get better even though my acne was not too bad, because I know every skin type is different and hard to see improvement with only 5 mins talking from Dr. G. But I DO EXPECT that I could get a heads up if my insurance does not cover and I have to pay extra prior my appointment. Not like getting everything done and receiving a bill after a month visited there. I will definitely call in the clinic and ask about my situation, because it was such a WASTE of money and time. I know the clinic has been very busy and full of appointments, but I deserved better than $350+ for only 5 minutes. read more

I first saw Dr. Kira Giovanielli at her former office in Golden. A recent transplant to the area, I had been seeking a good dermatologist. She had several excellent reviews, and for good reason as I soon discovered. We liked her so much that we followed her to Center for Advanced Dermatology in Arvada. Dr. Giovanielli is a great dermatologist. She is attentive, thorough, thoughtful, and has superb bedside manner. I've seen many dermatologists over the years, and she is right at the top of the list. She also treats my daughter and is exceptionally good with kids. I highly recommend her! I also found the rest of the staff at Center for Advanced Dermatology to be very friendly and helpful. The whole practice seems to be well run and very professional. read more

Had an appointment for 3:40 in the afternoon. Arrived as directed 15 minutes early, filled out the paperwork and was taken back to a room. A med tech came in with a laptop, took some info and told me that the doc would be in in "5 minutes". An hour later, after no one bothered to even give me an update, I left. I will not return - ever. Too many other docs out there that do not treat their patients like cattle. read more

I struggled with bad skin for years & years. I went here to see if I could improve my condition and after spending at least four years being prescribed creams & pills & gels & whatever else, I can say with confidence that this had been a waste of time & money. My skin NEVER improved & I felt as if my doctor did not even care. As a last minute "hail mary," so to speak, I was put on acutane but had to stop because it was too intense for my body to handle. It made my back hurt so bad that I could barely tie my shoes & at the time, I was a healthy, seventeen-year-old so that shouldn't happen. When I said I couldn't continue taking the acutane, I was told that there was nothing else they could do for me. Fast forward, I began seeing an esthetician who treated my skin with all natural products, extractions, a thorough review of my makeup & skin care routine at the time, and I am now acne free. I have only been seeing her for seven months. To sum it up, save your time & money & find someone who really cares. read more

I went to their Lakewood office a year ago and they treated my condition superbly. The physician who treated me knew what the condition was right away and was able to clear my skin up after a few applications (within a week). I was so grateful now that I am in Arvada, CAD is also here! read more

Love, love, love Dr. Giovanelli. On the way home from our appointment today my daughter and I were talking about how we wish she could be our doctor for ALL our medical needs. She's smart, warm, explains everything clearly, takes all our concerns seriously, and has been far more effective than other docs we've seen for the same issues. read more
