But don't worry there isn't any additional charge. :) I definitely recommend this winery if you happen to be close-by. Or if you just want a change of scenery. I also loved that they offered more than just wine and beer. The wine slushies and fun drinks like piña coladas were such a hit and made the event feel especially festive. They were also extremely flexible and accommodating with logistics. They let us drop things off the day before, gave us plenty of time to set up, and even allowed us to store decor at the venue after the event so my family could come back and pick everything up a week later. That is such a rare accommodation and made our lives SO much easier. The property also had showers and getting-ready areas, which was incredibly convenient, and the staff was professional, kind, and helpful throughout the entire event. Overall, the venue was beautiful, flexible, reasonably priced, and genuinely easy to work with. I could not recommend the property or the team more highly.

There are 3 flight tasting options - white, red, and mixed (which includes a rose). All three are great options and value at 6 tasters for $20. If you choose to purchase a bottle they are all mostly around $26-45. I loved that this place allowed you to bring outside food as it was the perfect picnic spot but if you don't, they also have a mini fridge of charcuterie items to purchase. The winery itself is intimate, but with ample outdoor seating. A small babbling fountain, corn hole, and umbrellas for shade round out the ambiance. It was perfect for a lazy Saturday afternoon. It truly feels like you're hanging in your friend's backyard. If your friend just happens to make delicious wine and have beautiful westward views of the valley. There was music playing, no sense of urgency, and the namesake pooch Moose to occasionally provide a little company. The owner and head winemaker Rich and assistant wine maker Uli took their time explaining the process, the wines, and anything else you may think to ask. Rich even let us pick fruit from his citrus trees to take home. What a beautiful day and beautiful experience. We plan on going back in the fall for the harvest festival!

We also decided to splurge and share the white wine tasting. I loved their Rose and one of their white wines. We ended up buying a bottle of the Red Syrah and White Fiano as gifts for friends. What really took this place up from 4 to 5 stars was house hospitable and kind the staff was! Dana in particular was so warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, asking how we ended up in Morgan Hill and congratulating us on our recent job offers. She even brought out some complimentary champage because she was so happy for our recent life changes! I have lived in the south AND the midwest, two places known for hospitality, but have never had a better experience with hospitality than here at MHC. Can't wait to come back and try more wines while I am chilling in "MoHi" for a few more weeks!

The beautiful home and landscape are very well kept, and the winery itself is a cozy little spot nestled along the hillside. Prior to visiting, my friend kindly called about two weeks in advance to ask permission to take her graduation photos there so we wouldn't be imposing on their property. We were told it would be perfectly fine as long as we purchased a bottle of wine, which we happily agreed to. Unfortunately, upon arriving, our experience was disappointing. The woman working in the tasting room came across as very cold and unwelcoming from the moment we walked in. She repeatedly questioned us about taking photos and stated there was a $250 insurance charge required for photography on the property. When we explained that permission had already been given over the phone, she simply responded with "okay" before ringing me up for a $49 bottle of wine. What was most disappointing was the lack of kindness and professionalism. I was genuinely excited to visit this winery and support the business, but the uncomfortable interaction completely changed my perspective on the location. Hospitality goes a long way in the winery industry, and unfortunately, we did not feel welcomed here at all. Such a beautiful property, but sadly the customer service experience left a lasting impression, and not in a positive way.

When we mentioned it was our first time visiting and that we were excited to be there, there was no warmth, no enthusiasm, and no effort to tell us about the wines or the property. Even the pours seemed careless. I know this is Gilroy and not Napa, but I still expected a welcoming experience and better wine service. Unfortunately, both the service and the wine itself were disappointing. The best part of this place was definitely the beautiful grounds, which would make a gorgeous wedding setting. Maybe this place is better suited as an event venue than a wine tasting destination, but based on my experience, I would not return. The two stars are for the beautiful grounds.

They have a huge selection of reds and their desert wine is to die for. They also host large events. I absolutely love the ambiance of the tasting room, which includes a very long tasting bar for those crowded days. By all means, allow a couple of hours for this tasting, you'll enjoy your time here. The downside, I'm currently living in MN and there's no shipping offered to that state, otherwise we would have joined a wine club.
