A wholesome venue. The Emilio Guglielmo Winery is a gorgeous venue. I came by for the anniversary Pasquale Esposito concert and had a great time. The staff did a great job at decorating the space and making this outdoor concert feel like an intimate experience. The table setup made the crowd feel like they're apart of a community. At sunset, this winery has stunning views of their vineyards. The concert was great. Pasquale is a resident guest of the winery and has a phenomenal voice. The food offered (chicken marsala, sausage and peppers, and balsamic vinegar dressed salad) was underwhelming. The selection was limited and food was cold. By the time I got to the food table, they had run out of the sausage dish. The wine selection was very good though. I particularly liked a few of the white wines offered during the event. The staff and servers were all friendly. It is apparent they all enjoy working here. The donation-pushing felt a bit tacky, however. During the entirety of my visit, I felt like I was being asked to donate (at the table, during dinner, before and after the performance). Of course their cause (providing music lessons to children) is incredibly important and has left a clear impact on the program's students, but it ended up taking away from my experience (especially considering the high cost of the concert tickets). Side note: the parking situation is challenging. There are very few handicapped parking stalls with a tiny lot. On concert nights, parking is located across the road at the neighboring high school. If you are visiting with anyone that has mobility issues, definitely come early to secure close parking. The valentines dinner was great. We found about the Valentine's Day dinner when we went wine tasking at Guglielmo. I became a member and received an email about it so I decided to reserve our seats. We were able to select each entree and had the option to call back and edit it if we wanted to. Upon arrival, we were given a glass of champagne and walked over to our assigned table. Our seats were pre assigned and were sat with 3 other couples. A harp was playing the whole night. It was a delightful evening. Throughout the night, the wine kept coming. Visited Guglielmo Winery in Morgan Hill for the first time on a Friday afternoon. My friend and I drove down there to do a tasting and check out their Holiday Boutique. Wow, they really had a lot of amazing gift items to buy at their boutique, it's open 7 days a week until Christmas Day. They have unusual Christmas decorations including jellyfish, mermaid Nutcracker, and a lot of good jewelry options as well. The tasting room manager is very nice and gave some good overviews of the wines, the winery and the history. It was a chilly day but on warmer days, sitting outside on their sunny patio with a bottle of their wine would be very pleasant. I'll be back! read more

I went here for my birthday and enjoyed the champagne flights! The place was close by to a brunch spot I tried and there was available parking at 1pm! As soon as I walked to the entrance there was a lot of available seating and shade available and a few spots available inside and luckily found a table inside. The workers were very nice and open to share their recommendations! They were also available to drop off our drinks to where we were staying. They provided some plates and utensils to enjoy a cake a friend had brought for me. I definitely will come back again when the weather gets cooler. read more

We've been in the area 22 years now. We joined several wine clubs early on. To be honest, we've cancelled most of our local memberships. Not because they were bad, but because our pallets have changed. We don't come here for the wine, to be honest, we come for the sparkling wine. Best local family winery with the kindest staff, loveliest grounds and tons of amazing community events, from regular bottle your own wine events (BYOB recycling too!) to outdoor concerts, Mother's Day events and more, this is a true gem and I'm so happy to support every time we visit. Being a part of their wine club is a great deal, two free tastings each visit and you can always switch out bottles for something comparable if the bi monthly picks aren't to your taste. I recommend the estate zinfandels and sparkling rose. Not every bottle is going to be a 92 but there always something good and always something new to try. Love them and hope they never change. Also very family and pet friendly, with plenty of light snack options (salami, crackers, etc) in their shop though I recommend bringing your own food. read more

We happened to attend on the first weekend of their holiday shop and picked up a number of stocking stuffers along a couple bottles of excellent Pinot Noir. We appreciated that they had a small market of charcuterie, cheese, and chocolate for purchase to go along with tastings. The tasting pours were a bit inconsistent in volume but we had a a nice time overall sitting and sampling on their lovely grounds and checking out all the holiday goodies. read more

Better than Napa. We moved almost 2 years ago away from the area. We moved to Fairfield and have Napa in our backyard. We have explored their wineries and compare them to Guglielmo ALL THE TIME. I wanted to use this winery for my daughter's bridal shower. We decided to just hold her event at the house. But I still checked out Emilio Guglielmo Winery. The staff is very patient, kind, and very great at explaining their wines and winery history. My sister, a friend and I went to check it out. We did flights, we sat outside, had some cheese and crackers with our great wine. Their event premise would have worked out great for us since it is very spacious. Would have fit our 50 guests. I got married at Guglielmo Winery in Sept 2024 and had an absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience. I am so happy with our choice of this venue. Starting with the initial tour of the venue, the Event Director, Brianna, was incredibly sincere, friendly, and knowledgeable. We met with her a few times over the course of our wedding planning process, and she was so communicative and on top of things throughout the whole process. After planning a wedding, the best advice I can give to an engaged couple is to find vendors who are good communicators. There are vendors who will be slow to respond or not respond at all in the wedding planning process without multiple reminder emails, and it can add so much unneeded stress. From setting up the initial tour of the venue to our two months'-prior check-in to our ceremony rehearsal two days before the event, I can't say enough about how good Brianna was with her communication with us. Convenience for guests was an important factor for us, and the venue is easily accessible from the freeway and has easy parking across the street in a large high school parking lot. No winding roads or lost guests! And it has the ceremony area, cocktail hour, reception, and dance floor all in close proximity to one another. The lighting at night is absolutely beautiful with the string lights under a large canopy tent. And it felt so spacious and comfortable for our 160-person wedding. There are pricing packages to fit any number of guests, whether it be for a small intimate wedding for 50 guests or a large 300-person wedding. Visited this place yesterday, April 29, 2024 after a hike in Uvas Canyon. My boyfriend and I were hiking with my fur baby Nimbus so we called to make sure that he would be allowed in. The female who took the call said that it would be fine. When we arrived to the tasting room, there was a sign that said "open" but there was a button to press for service. We hit the button and no one came within reason so we proceeded to enter. We were met with an older male and female. My boyfriend asked if we can do a tasting. The older gentleman explained that there was a list of tasting wines and it would be $15/ person. He explained how many of each type of wine there was and he asked what we would like. He said not to mention all of them at once, and because he would forget. I pretty much said I like sweet things, reds are not usually in my list of favored wines, go ahead with your sparkling and white and proceed in an order you find appropriate. My boyfriend thought that it was tasting by category; whites, reds, and sparkling. As I quickly explained with the older gentleman had said, the older gentleman seemed to be have a look of impatience. We tired our wines, some were good some were not to our liking. When the older gentleman was bringing out a bottle of one their mango, pineapple white wines (that my boyfriend just tried) my boyfriend explained that I probably wouldn't like that. When he did the older gentleman slammed the bottle at the bar and proceeded to get me another bottle of wine. This was an odd air. I was perturbed, but since he kept looking at something under the bar, possibly a cell phone, I linked it to maybe he's having a bad day or something going on in his personal life. Sadly, I do believe that if you have problems outside of work, they should be left at the door. After talking to him and the other woman they are actually retired so maybe it's just a place of fun for them. Which if that's the case, I hope it is fun for them - but he kind of gave me the vibe of off putting. He seemed a lot more kinder when he talked about wine tartar buildup on barrels - I am a science person so I appreciate knowing the workings behind things. He was not the most knowledgeable on that, and he did have some brain farts and hiccups with his execution of information. The woman who was also there is the saving grace of this visit. She was very kind, explained which items from their pantry area was made by them and which was not. She made it feel every rustic and homey vibes. She definitely gave me caring individual feelings. She further explained how the winery does multiple events and how fun they are. She did give us a date for a harvest festival in mid August of this year, and explained the live music events they would be starting soon. She added a personal touch when we said we just came back from hiking in Uvas, that she vacationed in a town right outside the canyon for several decades now. She even explained a little about how the town works. She even walked me over to show me where the almond wine was that was my finisher to my wine tasting. I love my vinegars, and she explained that there was a red wine vinegar that they made, and she offered us a taster after our wine tasting. This definitely was coming with us. The downside is there was no food for purchase that they made themselves that could go along with their wine tasting. The tasting, however, was only $15 so significantly cheaper than many. My boyfriend likes his zin, and the older gentleman said there was no open bottle to try when he asked. Their bathrooms are outside of the tasting room in a seperate structure so that was different. When I got home later that night to South Bay, I was rather displeased and unhappy. We were missing a bottle of white wine that we both enjoyed and wanted. We wanted the Cuvée and it was not with us when we got home. I was pretty unhappy considering that the older gentleman did put out a vibe, not necessarily the most positive one, I tried to talk to him and make conversation, and I did not leave with the first wine that hit my palate that I really really enjoyed that day. If you know me, I am not the most fond of wine so finding wines I like - I will buy the bottle when I leave. In addition, we surrounded what we were making for dinner based off the Cuvée! Dinner was a seafood pasted with a side of clams and bread. We also live in Mountain View, so an hour or so away so we were trying to get everything we wanted during this trip. Two stars, because I really enjoyed the woman's company, and her thoughtfulness, and the wine was good. Stars knocked off for customer service and for not ringing us up for the Cuvée. read more

We finally made it to Guglielmo! We live only a few minutes away and not sure what took us soooo long! The funny thing is, this winery is right across the street from Live Oak High School and I never realized that. Anyways, the parking lot is very small, but you can park right across the street at the school lot. They also have signs that instruct you to do so as well. The wine is good and the staff are friendly. They have a gift shop with goodies for purchase and the wine tasting ($15 for choice of 5) is located in the back of the shop. I enjoyed a good ol' cab sauv for $14 a glass. Pet and family friendly! There are water bowls for the pups and a bunch of outdoor games for the kids and adults. Can't wait to come back to explore around a little more. read more

The wines were well priced and were great! This was not a pretentious winery or anything! It was great with outdoor and indoor seating, bathrooms and a vineyard to look at. Our friend reserved tables and we brought our own charcuterie and cheese and hung out til after 5pm! They switched us to plastic cups after 5pm but they let us stay to finish. Everyone was really nice and the wines were great! Pro tip: They even have a changing table in the womens bathroom. Plenty of parking on the street and across the high school. read more

We'd just arrived in Morgan Hill and set up our RV. I looked online for a website listing wineries and found visitmorganhill.org. Right on the front page was an event for that day at Guglielmo Winery. It was their Vines and Vibes Summer Concert Series. We'd never been there before and were pleasantly surprised by the charm and setting just walking in. The place is over 100 years old and feels like it, but, is clean and very pretty. It actually feels like you're walking into an Italian village (the owners and founders are/were Italian). We looked around a bit and then went into the tasting room and shop. It was about 4:50pm. The event was supposed to start at 5pm. The lady we first saw at the counter was a real fast talker. She immediately said, somewhat abrasively, that we were too late for a tasting. She was talking about 500 words a minute and it was difficult to figure out what we could do. She let us buy a glass of wine and said we could take it into the venue when it opened. But, the tasting room and the evening activity were apparently too separate things. I'm only really giving this four stars instead of five because we couldn't do a tasting AND I was very turned off by the attitude of the lady at the tasting room. Just be a bit nicer and understanding and don't assume that everyone walking through the door knows what's going on and is a club member. We likely won't be back since we're only here for a week and there are many other wineries to check out. But, I'd go if you're looking for a place to try because they had a wide selection of wine, vinegar, boutique snacks and food, a cute shop with fun stuff, and a nice, relaxing, setting. If you like light wines, then this is for you. Italian wines all taste too light for us. It maybe because we are used to bold Californian wines. So you pay at the cashier for the tastings and you get a stamp card for each tasting. It's how they keep track of how many wines you had. This is something new that wasn't implemented when I came here more than 10 years ago. There's outdoor and indoor seating. I called and made a reservation the morning of Saturday for 2 outdoor tables. The ladies pouring the wines were nice for the most part. Until I came back with my friends tasting card. The lady who poured my last tasting told the lady now who was pouring for me that she poured more than enough wine for me. We didn't think there was a need to mention that. We paid for the tasting and if we want to give it to someone else, then it's our choice. We also got to try a few wines that were off menu. Like Cab Franc, Sparkling Cuvee, and a Red Blend. Although we didn't like the wines, but at least the outdoor setting was nice. They allow outside food even though they sell cheese, charcuterie, crackers, and other snacks. Great family owned winery with reasonable tasting menu. The ambience was quite festive with events going on for members, a very cute vintage camper serving soups and charcuterie plates that day. We ran into friends who are wine club members for 10+ years so we all stayed outside at one of the tables. By the way, it's a great place to buy bottles to drink and spend the day. There's a gift shop to buy cute crafts, gourmet packaged goods and even other brand wines. We had Patty and Alex as our sommelier who were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We bought the 2021 Grenache Noir, 2022 Grignolino Rose and some brands that they were selling our friends recommended. Between us and our friends we spent a fortune! We were directed to different places within the tasting room multiple times only to have to wait again each time. We decided just to buy a bottle because the tasting would have been such a challenge. We asked if we could try a sample before purchasing the bottle to which she said the bottle had just finished and she would not be opening another one. We had a reservation but when we walked in, I was surprised to see how they do things. Most wineries have you go to the tasting, you decide to do the flight or just a glass, revisit any wine you liked, and decide if you want a bottle and your tasting is waived. Not here. They take your credit card for the fee of the tasting up front. Then, we sat at a table, which no one visits, so you need to go to the bar to get your tastings with your "stamp" card. They don't tell you about the wine, other than show you the menu. When you ask for water, they say there are bottles for $1.50 by the front. I'm used to wineries that give you free water. The wine was okay. I liked everything except for the reserve. The "champagne" (I thought you couldn't say CA champagne, as it's not champagne unless it's from France) was too sweet.
