Consistently great manicures and pedicures! Very relaxing environment too. Recommend as great nail spot in Ballard.

I get a hybrid fill every time, and I've never had a single chip. My nails consistently last over a month and still look amazing. Phoebe is also incredibly detail oriented and has a great eye for design. No matter what idea I bring her, she always makes it even better. If you're looking for someone who does beautiful, long lasting work and truly takes pride in what they do, I can't recommend Phoebe enough.

I had my nails done five days ago and I noticed chipping on my right hand three days ago and now my left hand today. I've mentioned the issue at each return visit, hoping we could figure out a better solution, but the outcome has been the same. I've never had this problem before -- not at my previous nail salon in Seattle and not in all my years living in LA. So this has been especially frustrating. I'm currently only coming here because my longtime nail salon (Nice Nails) of nine years temporarily closed for remodeling. I'm counting down the days until they reopen in March. I truly wish I had a better experience to share, but consistency and longevity matter -- and that just hasn't been my experience here.

It pains me to write this review because I have been going here for years…read more I got a gel manicure last Friday. The front desk girls were nice. The initial first half of my appointment was fine. Things shifted towards the second half of my appointment. I accidentally dipped my hands back in water after my nails were filed and buffed. The tech I was working with (Lily) seemed visibly annoyed with me. I felt very awkward for the rest of my appointment. After that happened, she was weirdly pushy and abrupt with my hands while curing the gel nails under the LED light. That wasn't even the worst part. During the gel application, I saw this girl wipe her cleanup brush with extra alcohol directly onto the granite countertop, then use the same brush directly on my skin to clean the excess gel on my hands. I have always seen techs here use a paper towel (or another white towel) for this. I was so grossed out. To top off this experience, the hot towel and hand massage at the end of my appointment was super rushed and not thorough at all. So disappointing. I hope this was a fluke, but sad to say I will probably be going elsewhere.

Since it was my first time, I wanted to sit with it for a day and see how I felt. When I reached out, the salon was so kind and quick to get me back in to adjust them. Mandy took great care of me and made sure the shape was exactly what I wanted before I left. I really appreciated how attentive and accommodating everyone was. I'll definitely be coming back!

When I explained that dip nails are the only type that consistently lasts on my nails and that gel has repeatedly peeled off for me, I was met with a dismissive attitude. I was told, "Suit yourself," as though I didn't know what works for my own nails. I also requested a French tip using the dip technique--the same style I've had many times before and receive compliments on regularly. Instead of accommodating my request, I was told that doing French tips with dip was "the wrong way" and that they don't do it. The technician then wanted to soak off a beautiful set of nails that I had only come in to have filled. The salon itself also appeared less clean than I would expect from a professional nail studio, which only added to my discomfort. The biggest lesson I learned is this: when you break a nail, it's worth waiting to return to the nail technician you trust instead of rushing to someone new. I left disappointed and won't be returning. In the end I will take my business to non homophobic establishments that actually know what they are doing. Sadly I tried to get a quick fix in a holiday weekend and I'll never do that again.
