It was basically right off the lobby. They treated us very well. The only big issue was no air conditioning and it was approaching 85 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit!!! Since our rooms were across from each other we opened the windows and hall doors and got good air flow. But at night it was pretty warm. The other issue was the breakfast area. Pretty small and with no a/c it was a bit toasty, so to speak. But it was great other than that. We'd stay here again.

Instead of a flight, and trying to pack everything into one or two bags, you can take your whole car stuffed full and your pup. Hello Costco run! I loved my first overnight and drive on experience. Spending 18-20 hours not driving was excellent for starting vacation and for ending it. We had a room, got to visit our pup every couple hours, and even had some gluten free food options from the cafe. Overall, something I'd do again and absolutely will recommend to others.

Very cute little airport. It is located on Digby Island. To get to the island you would need to…read moretake a ferry. Only tiny planes would land at PR Airport. There are two departing flights and two arrival flights every day. Basically the same plane goes back and forth between Vancouver and PR. So, I landed at the airport and first thing I did was to grab my checked bags. After grabbing the bags there was a shuttle bus that was waiting for me. Loaded my luggage onto the giant truck/van and then got onto the chartered bus that went onto the ferry and took me to Prince Rupert downtown. My baggage was waiting for me downtown. It was definitely a long journey. Also don't think about swimming from Digby island to Prince Rupert. Its too far to swim..... The ferry ride took about 20 mins. Make sure you ate before coming to the airport. There is no food for purchase at this airport. I flew in from Vancouver and the flight took about 2 hrs plus getting my check bags and getting on the shuttle bus and onto the ferry and to downtown it some how equated to about 3 hours in total. WOW what a trip to get to Prince Rupert Island.

If your next door neighbors -- the nice ones, not the neighbors on the other side -- ran an airport, this is what it would look like. Brick, one story building. One gate. Two flights a day. A vending machine. Very clean. The security lady probably has to restock the vending machine when she's done scanning the passengers.

Nice little cabins in a beautiful location. Kitchens are fully stocked with plates, equipment and…read moreglassware. Large refrigerator. Several beds and a washer and dryer. Sitting on the aged house decks and soaking up the view is the attraction here. But there are some caveats. The worst is the train. Diesel trains come through at all different hours of the day and night. The tracks are so close to the cabins that it's a real atmosphere spoiler. They make talking difficult and shake the rooms. Next is the Wi-Fi, it is pretty bad. It's got a short reach so you can disconnect in the rooms easily. There is no cell service. For some that's an advantage, for others it's not. We were also asked to put our phones on airplane mode if we didn't need to access the Wi-Fi because it uses up their satellite data. Not really my problem. And lastly, the taps are connected to a creek and the water is discoloured. They provide bottled water, however. If these points don't bother you, you should be pretty happy. It's a unique location.
