Brent knows what he's talking about and his biggest concern seems to be quality work and to meet your needs while providing a great customer experience. The handling unit in my attic had rusted condensation coils. Another company came out and told me the unit was "oversized" for my house and the plenum was undersized and this caused my coils to have too much pressure and broke one of the lines and freon was leaking out contributing to condensation causing rusting. A 14K solution was recommended to me. I wanted a second opinion and took a chance on Stryker. Brent thoroughly looked at EVERYTHING and determined that the problem was actually from the original install 10 years ago when the home was built. The drain from the condensation on the handling unit wasn't piped in quite the right way (original install problem). This wouldn't have really been a problem because there's a back-up to allow condensation to drain off the unit. However, I wasn't performing regular cleaning maintenance and that drain pipe clogged causing my coil to rust. Since I was happy with the air quality and the cooling of the house, Brent recommended just replacing the rusted coil on the handler and re-piping it and performing annual cleaning. I saved almost 10k. Brent could have underbid the other company and made out like a fat rat, but he didn't take advantage of my HVAC ignorance. When you find a company like this, it seems like a true gem. I wish every business had his standards.

They also did a great job insulating my attic - passed Austin Energy inspection on the 1st try - and relocating my condensers from the side yard to the backyard. Both Alan and Ricky were both very helpful, informative and definitely had my best interests at heart. Alan did not try to sell me any additional products that I did not need. He suggested an additional return air vent to help my system's air flow. This solved the problem my house was having not cooling the downstairs effectively. And Alan solved this problem without trying to sell me a $3300 zone damper system. Another company tried to sell me on that zone damper system. They did not get my business. Alan and Ricky both had some great ideas on how to make my system run more efficiently. They suggested I seal up some gaps in my air vents and make sure that there are no gaps in my attic insulation. I always have lots of questions about this kind of stuff and they patiently and honestly answered every question I had. The actual installation went efficiently and without incident. I was only without air conditioning for about 3 hours. Ricky and a helper got the system in, explained a few things about how the new unit worked and got my new thermostat up and running. They got rid of the old ac, furnace and the old condenser. They did a wonderful job cleaning up after themselves. I did not have to pick up a single piece of trash or anything after they were all done. I think the hallway they were working in was actually cleaner after they had finished up.
