Made an appointment to have dryer vent cleaned. A previous dryer repairman said the dryer wasn't the problem, the vent needed cleaning and they needed to get on the roof to check that part out. I have a 2 story duplex. The dryer vent repairman showed up and told me his ladder wasn't tall enough to get on the roof and so could not do the job. I am not happy to have blocked off the time for this and be told they can't do the job. They advertise they get on the roof. Have ladders tall enough to do the job! read more

They day of service the technician was here right at the earlest time of the one hour window. He was very careful to make sure his equipment was clean before bringing it downstairs across our new carpet. He was thorough at each vent and return. We had just moved in and our new dryer was flashing the dreaded d80 error. After doing everything we could and still no improvement, I called Avi on Friday and he was able to fit me in that Sunday! He texted when he was on his way and was right on time. I asked him to look at the dryer first, the vent is on our roof which is very high and steep. This kind of service, would be easy to scam people. How would we know how much dirt or dust was in our air ducts?? We wouldn't, so we have to take it on faith that they're being honest. We were fully expecting and READY, to have to have the full duct cleaning service. But because this company is so honest, they told us that it really didn't need cleaned yet! After sneezing and stuffiness began to threaten my sanity, I decided to have my home air ducts cleaned. It's been years and one Labrador. Using Yelp's quote feature, I sent out multiple requests. Avi at Air Improvement was first to reply. He quoted what proved to be the lowest price for the services I needed. While all include a "free" dryer air vent cleaning, quotes ranged from $70 to $155 more than Air Improvement, who also includes the dryer vent. Avi arrived on time. He was affable, but on point and ready to go. I gave him a tour of the house and he went to work. As others have noted, he gave me some much appreciated pointers on my dryer exhaust and my ancient AC unit. He came masked and conscious of distance between us. When he was finished, he showed a few before and after videos. I was shocked at what came out of our ducts! It's been three days. For the first time in ages, I'm not stuffed up and no one is sneezing in the house. I saved at least $70 vs competing quotes and could not be happier. Mission accomplished. Had dryer vent cleaned and dryer was worse than before. Called the company back, and business owner said to stop using dryer as appeared to him vent was still blocked. It was Saturday morning and he was booked out for 2 weeks, but offered to come late in the day, or on Sunday, his day off...to Castle Rock. He ended up coming late in the day on Saturday, and totally made things right. As he thought, there was still blockage due to the vent having a screen on it where it comes out on the roof. In addition, he shortened the hose behind the dryer as he found it was twice as long as it needed to be, also causing bad air flow for dryer. All this at no extra charge. Our thanks to Avi for taking time on the weekend to fix the issue, and not making us feel like he was put out for having to come out. Overall A+ service! My dryer kept shutting down with a restricted exhaust message and I immediately cleaned the vent connectors but still had the same issue. My brother suggested I test if the problem was with the dryer by disconnecting the dryer vent from wall and the dryer didn't shut off. So then I had to find a company to clean my 2nd story dryer vent that exited at my roof. After reading some reviews and calling to get pricing, I found many companies up-charged to climb on a roof and for using taller than 16' ladders, etc. but that wasn't the case with Air Improvement. When I called, Avi answered the call. He quoted me a reasonable flat rate price and scheduled me immediately. He showed up on time, had a pleasant attitude, got right to work, and left the areas he worked on clean and placed back nicely. I would highly recommend Air Improvement. Avi is great, and we will hire Air Improvement Denver every time we need to get our dryer vent cleaned. We had another company clean all our air ducts, and we paid extra for them to clean the dryer vent. We didn't notice any improvement, and now I know it's because they only cleaned from the inside and the issue was at the top (our dryer is on the second floor and vents to the roof). Our dryer stopped working and we bought a new one. We had it professionally installed and we replaced the flexible tube, but within months the dryer was no longer drying. It was getting hot but it would take 5 hours to dry a single load. We called Air Improvement Denver based on their stellar Yelp reviews. Avi responded quickly and had availability right away due to an unexpected reschedule. He was here in 30 minutes and he went straight to the roof. He pulled a huge lint ball from the screen (see photo) and *then* came inside to clean the vent with his fancy brush. As a result, the entire area is clean now, instead of having a clean conduit that gets jammed by a lint blanket and doesn't allow the dryer to work properly anyway. Avi was kind, prompt, helpful, and clean. We will definitely use Air Improvement Denver again. We received nothing from them for this positive review. read more
