Very disappointed in the quality of Air Smart Systems. We purchased a brand new Trane Heat/AC system $$$ from Air Smart. Throughout the process I experienced issues with calls not being returned. I figured they were busy but at some point it was very excessive. From initial sales/install to resolving post work defects, I was told they would get back to me and after several days, I would have to re-initiate a call or text. I told Air Smart I was willing to pay a little more money to upgrade components, replace ducts or improve zone plenum duct efficiency but the company seemed very reluctant to do anything more than a basic install. Despite the warning signs, I went into contract to perform the install based on the recommendation of neighbors. When the work was completed, I was a little disappointed with the placement of the zone distribution boxes. They where placed on the rafters with 180 degree bends to the supply ducts. Air flow throughout the house seemed very restrictive. One day after the install, the evaporator failed and Air Smart promptly replaced it. A few weeks later when the weather changed, I noticed there was no heat supply to the upstairs vents except for my daughters room. I called Air Smart to request service. I was told they would call me back but they never did. Disappointed and feeling like I wasted my money, I located a 5 star rated company (Xtreme Air) using the Trane certified installer web site. Xtreme identified the following problems. 1. The size of the evaporator box and the heat/air handler are two different sizes and Air Smart used tape and duct sealant to mud it together. Now air is creeping out of the seams. 2) My daughters upstairs duct was mistakenly connected to downstairs zone duct. 3. The heat wire for the upstairs thermostat was misconnected on the zone control board. They also said it was a shame that I mixed a single stage outside A/C unit with a multi-stage heat unit and that for a little more money I could have upgraded the 16 SERE to a 17 or 18 with better compatibility. Would have been nice to here that from Air Smart when I was trying to decide which unit to install. $1500 dollars later Xtreme Air fixed the miss-installed duct to my daughters room, straightened out and hung the two zone distribution plenum boxes and rewired the upstairs thermostat. My system now runs as advertised with much better airflow. read more

I highly recommend this HVAC company, I know there are a A TON to choose from but at the end of the day when it comes to getting a new HVAC system or getting it serviced it comes down to the technicians and of course the install not how cheap the unit is. So here are the things that stood out: 1. They were right on time and got going immediately. 2. They respected my house and closed the door after going in and out to maintain the temperature and keep flies out. 3. They pointed out some things on my new HVAC system that would be needed to make it run right and safely because the previous installed HVAC system took shortcuts. Meaning these guys know how to do it right. 4. Last but not least they cleaned everything thing up INCREDIBLY well and I am a happy customer!! Their professionalism shown through every step of the process. I reached out to Luis last week after another company bid $13k to replace my 20-year old heat and air system.
