Darlene was also an incredible resource for information about at-home care - from the supplies we needed to which items of "durable medical equipment" we should request from the hospital based on insurance coverage. She even went out of her way to be there when PT and OT providers came so that her caregivers could help mom do the exercises in between visits. I was checked in quickly, and in less than ten minutes, the medical team was already caring for me. About a week before becoming sick, I had been exposed to a serious biological health hazard with potentially fatal consequences. Naturally, I was extremely concerned, and my wife was terrified. Dr. Voigt listened carefully, ordered the appropriate tests, and quickly determined my illness was unrelated to that exposure. She assured me I would make a full recovery within a few days. Her reassurance meant more than I can express. Dr. Voigt's calm, compassionate, and confident manner immediately put me at ease, so I was able to call my wife and let her know that I would be okay. She treated me with genuine kindness, respect, and professionalism throughout my visit. I left feeling relieved, encouraged, and truly cared for. I also want to thank the entire staff at Scripps Urgent Care. Everyone I encountered was warm, friendly, compassionate, and professional.
