I have reached out to this company to speak to a manager as well as an owner after having no resolution to the ongoing A/C issue on record. Multiple visits with them claiming it is resolved yet having to call back later that night or the following day or two is not okay. There has been no contact aside from attempts to sell additional services or techs stating the unit is functioning properly when it's clearly not proven by their return the following day(s). We have yet to have a response from anyone willing to take responsibility to locate AND correct the recurring issue for good instead of putting a 'band-aid' on it. Aire Texas was bought out by Lex Air but unfortunately that means you assume responsibility for the prior companies quality of work and/or equipment issues. The amount of money paid for a quality unit that is not cooling the areas it was setup to cool is poor service. read more

I had to request another repair service a few days later because my second unit Nest was giving some error message about W2 wire for aux heat. I was given a free service call. Tim and Tim showed up on time the day off and quickly solved the issue by rewiring the Nest. I did not have to pay anything out of the pocket. I don't give out 5-stars often, just check my previous review history. However it's fully warranted in this case. Just know, that Reggie who serviced my HVAC from ATRS was top-notch! Not only was he courteous, timely, and knowledgeable, but he was extremely skilled and willing to go the extra mile. It is truly a pleasure to go to bed tonight knowing the headache of my home having a consistent leak from my HVAC pan through the wood, into my kitchen through the vent screws was not only repaired, Reggie literally rebuilt the pvc piping so it opened up the airflow for better quality air circulation. Wow. Our ducts were sooooo dirty, and we have a person with a dust allergy in our home. The team that came out did a great job cleaning out the return vents, ducts throughout the house, tight spaces in the attic where dust collected, and even the dryer vent. Air Texas was sent to fix our AC, by our home warranty and was very good experience. The technician, KC Faith was very professional, he made sure he doesn't spoil our floor by wearing clean covers on the shoes. He checked things in steps, never unnecessarily went to attic to check the AC. He started with outside unit, in steps and exactly figured out the problem. He showed the blown part and explained what happened, then replaced the part. After making sure the cold air flow started, he went to the attic to check if there anything else he can find. He was smiling throughout which gives you good confidence that you are in good hands and he knows what he's talking about. Very good experience! read more

He offered cost effective solutions to help prevent future premature failures and installed a better grade capacitor which solved our problem. He then reviewed our system documenting readings, temperatures, etc. KC did an excellent job. KC is an example of why we only deal with Aire Texas when we have problems with heating and HVAC. I have been with Aire Texas for years under their maintenance plan. My service was done in April and October annually. I was unaware Aire Texas was sold. I called in July 2023 requesting information on why I was not scheduled for my spring tune up. I was told my contract lapsed and charged me again. My contract did not lapse. I was charged each month, January through June. I verified this with my bank. Yet, my spring tune up was never scheduled and then I was charged again in July. I scheduled for July 14, two weeks out. They sent a text on July 14 wanting to reschedule the spring tune up two to three more weeks out. This would put me into the last week of July, first week of August. They tried to convince me this is the appropriate time of year to complete a spring tune up. It didn't matter they are turning around and coming back for the fall tune up in October. Chad Faith, previous owner, did not treat his customers in this manner. The Faiths ran a phenomenal company. It is so sad to the company decline so fast without their leadership. read more

I just paid 89$ for less than 10 minutes and poor costumer service. This morning I replied and cancelled my visit for this afternoon through text message apparently was not received. At around 230 this afternoon I received a call that a technician would be coming in. I am thinking it is the plumber and I asked the lady to confirm my appointment for Friday would be cancelled since I was on a waitlist for today for the plumber to which she replied yes. Now I did not know and I do take fault on not double checking that it was not the plumber but she would have voiced that I didn't have an appointment with them for Friday and it would have cleared things out. Being that I had the understanding my visit with them was cancelled because I texted the number to cancel earlier today I assumed it was the plumber. So when two technician walked into my home I lead them to the bathroom where the issue is they looked at the bathrooms walked back down stairs to the spots on the wall near the vent, when I asked if they could fix it today they voiced they weren't plumbers that's when I said hold up there has been a miscommunication. I called the lady back she apologized and said she would be canceling the ticket to not worry about it. The technicians had already stepped outside mind you they never brought any ladders or equipment in and where in my home max maybe 10 minutes the doorbell camera can confirm. I did not lock the door and went about my business when they both walked back in unannounced and requested a payment when I asked for what they said since they showed up they had to be paid. When I called the lady back up she voiced her technician performed a diagnostic. In less then 10 minutes? Nothing was done and I know what a diagnostic would like being Xtreme Air Services performed one earlier today and it took them over an hour and required them bringing in equipment such as a ladder. So either they don't know how to perform a proper diagnostic or they are just out for money. Regardless the absolute worst costumer service. Our downstairs heater stopped working sometime on Thursday. We called Friday morning and had a tech out within a couple hours. They figured out that the control panel was broken and we needed a new one. They were able to source one and had a guy out on Saturday to replace it. The house immediately started warming up, which was a huge relief after two nights of limping along at 60 degrees from just the upstairs unit. They were quick and professional. My only complaint was that the part itself was expensive, but I understand that this is not Aire Texas's fault. read more

I met this company through my home warranty and have had nothing but a great experience with them. The tech (Corey) was very professional and knowledgable. Gave me some good tips having an older AC unit. When the unit broke down I had them come out for 2nd opinion and their bid came in cheaper than the other company (wont mention who) and was replaced in 3 days. Trust these guys to do you right. I like a company that strives to win your business for life, rather than scam a quick buck. Or as I like to say, is "in business to make a living, not a killing". I called Aire Texas after having had another company tell me my compressor was shot and that I should replace the entire system, inside and out, with an updated one - and left me with his expensive quote and a disabled unit. I wasn't going to spend a few thousand bucks without a second opinion and a competitive quote - and I'm glad I found Aire Texas! My problem turned out to be a very common problem - an inexpensive part called a start capacitor. With quick part replacement and a pound of coolant, they had me fixed up in minutes for a nominal charge. Aire Texas' tech was straightforward ,- eye contact and a firm handshake - handed me his card at the door. As we chatted while he worked, the tech spoke of honest, old fashioned values , leaning toward repair rather than replacement. Yes, he agreed newer units are more efficient and I should consider upgrading - but he didn't try to trap me into it In a business fraught with shady players, Aire Texas is a breath of fresh Aire! read more

I'm fairly frustrated with our first maintenance visit. We bought a brand new system from them including new ducts. The system is roughly six months old and on the first maintenance visit I'm being asked to sign a form that waves them of liability if they cause water damage to my home. They installed the entire unit (including drain lines) and it was green tagged by the city inspector. The fact that I have to sign any such form on a six month old system that was installed by the person maintaining it is absurd. You either can stand behind your install/maintenance work or you can't. A form like that should only be designed for taking on new customers with systems that you did not install and are unsure of how they've been maintained. I would have purchased my system from someone else had I know these types of non-common sense policies are being used. It's a likely sign that if my system ever does fail there will be some fine print or nonsense policy that makes it either difficult or expensive to repair. read more

Worst ever, our furnace went out and we called our warranty company who recommended Aire Texas. We called to tell them the switch board went out, them came out confirmed and charged us $75 said this was for the new part & someone would contact us to come back out to replace the switchboard. A couple days later the furnace worked again, so we called and said since we've already paid just mail us the part and we won't waste your time or ours. The woman on the phone Ruth I believe, was polite but was as dumb as a rock, didn't know how to handle my request, said they had to come to replace it if I wanted the part, and my $75 was a service fee. This outfit is in cahoots with home warranty companies (a known scam to begin with). Total failure to diagnose a cratered system up front. Misdiagnosed at first attempt...ordered parts to fix...wait for parts to arrive (supposedly on back order)...a week later parts arrived and were installed. Whoops, there are other problems so second diagnosis (which was equally wrong as the first) required. Home warranty was of no help whatsoever either. Almost 2 weeks without climate control waiting on this home warranty company and Aire Texas to get their act together. Technician should have indicated that the entire system was shot (as it was) and suggest total replacement...but no, they'd rather exchange parts. Took matters into my own hands and hired a far more reputable A/C contractor to come fix the issue (and at my expense). Called the home warranty company and they offered a very stingy cash-out that was based on the technician's "second [FAILED] attempt" to diagnose the issue. The cash-out was about 13% of what it actually cost me to fix it. Both of you - home warranty and Aire Texas: You're fired! read more

DO NOT do business with these people. I had them install an entire unit 3 years ago and now my home can't cool below 82 degrees. I called them on Monday and made an appointment for Wed. The guy came out and diagnosed that I was 3 lbs. short of refrigerant and the cause was a "small leak" in the coil. He told me that normally he would simply put in stop leak and refill the refrigerant but since it was under warranty it made more sense to replace the coil. I asked him when we could expect that done or how much any of that would cost. He sat on the phone with his company for 20 minutes and came back and told me that they were all in meetings and there was nothing he could do and he could give me no information. Then he charged me $45 for diagnostics and left. Today they called to tell me that my warranty replacement was going to cost me roughly $850! I asked how much to just replace the 3 lbs. of refrigerant and put in stop leak and was told it would be roughly $250. I explained that had I known this I would have had the tech do just that while he was already here but I was not given that choice. So I asked how soon someone could be out and was told maybe tomorrow but I could be on standby for today. I then explained to the woman that I have been waiting all week in a sweltering house. My appointment was for Wed. (today is Thur). All those other people with appointments today are in line behind me and that someone should be out today. She puts me on hold a few seconds and then says, "I'm sorry, we're all booked. It may not be until Saturday now". Even though she used the word "sorry", she was actually very unapologetic. I asked if they would offer me a discount or do anything for me because of their screw up and she said "sorry" again. I would rather wait another week and give my money to another company than to ever do business with these con artists and recommend you do the same. Update: I discovered after writing this review that a strange noise was coming from my attic. I went up there to see that the cover to the coil had been mangled and was now cooling my attic. The tech, rather than removing the whole thing, only removed the top half of the screws on the panel and bent it back to see inside. Then he left without putting it back. That probably explains why it has been extra hot inside my house ever since. I called the company immediately and explained the problem. The girl seemed perturbed and told me that someone would eventually call me back. That was 3 hours ago. I even called the owner of the company, left a voice mail and texted him. He has yet to respond to me either. Update #2: The point of reviews is for the consumer to get HONEST feedback about a company, good or bad, unfortunately. So it was rather humorous when the president, Chad Faith, called me back yelling at me. He said I had been slandering him all over social media. Nevermind the fact that it would technically be considered libel, but when I tried to explain to him that it is only slander if it is untrue, he cut me off and gave me his speech about how he refuses to do business with people like me. I tried to explain that I would happily retract my statements above if he could make it right but he cut me off again and went into more yelling and then told me he would never do business with me. I called him back from a different number and he answered all cheerfully and I said it was fine if he didn't want to do business with me but what was he going to do about my mangled coil cover? He first went on to explain my "slander" by saying that they offered service on Friday but that wasn't good enough for me but above in my post I said they told me Saturday. That is actually true. The woman I talked to first said Friday and when I pushed back, she put me on hold for a few seconds and then said it might not even be until Saturday. Not making this stuff up folks. The guy can believe whatever he wants or he can try to make things right. (Whatever happened to the "Customer is always right"? But I digress...) Back to my mangled cover, he said his technician did no such thing and he will not be sending anyone out. I said that I would have to take him to court then. He said that was fine and he'd see me in court. I said that wasn't very Christian of him and that set him off even more and he hung up on me again. I know he is supposed to be a man of faith, (ironic name, huh) but I probably shouldn't have played the faith card against him. That was wrong and I was starting to really get upset. CROOKS, UNPROFESSIONAL inexperienced techs Unfortunately our home warranty assigned this company to fix our A/C (a couple times) and let me just tell you run for the hills if they send CHRIS R who is a supervisor (have no idea how he got that title) because that guy is a CROOK!!! He did a half ass job and tried to say we needed an electrician, come to find out from the electrician who took all of 5 minutes to look at the unit said it wasn't an electrical issue that had the A/C tech actually looked at the unit he would have seen the corrosion (which was in plain sight) I called back and told RUTH (lady that answers the phones) the issue and she tried telling me that CHRIS R knew what he was doing and he's a supervisor and a great tech or whatever. YEAH HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING ALRIGHT, HE IS A CROOK TRYING TO GET MORE MONEY AND tried to say we needed some electrical wiring etc which was BULLSHIT. I told RUTH i honestly didn't even want that same tech out if he did a half ass job before and she said they were going to anyways... WELL the appointment was set and guess what ?!? HE NEVER SHOWED UP, we call the after hours line and the guy that answered said our Home warranty called them to cancel the order and that THEY (Home Warranty) should have called us to notify us. Well after i call the home warranty people they advise me that, no they did not cancel the order CHRIS R from AIRE TEXAS DID BECAUSE HE SAID WE NEEDED AN ELECTRICIAN and that he just hung up. THE NERVE OF THESE PEOPLE!!!! My husband called back and spoke with the guy that answered at Aire Texas after hours/ emergency line and he even said that tech (CHRIS R) probably didn't want to look bad that's why he didn't want to go back out there. BUSTED. I had another vendor come out the next day and guess what....HE FIXED IT IN 10 MINUTES THAT CHRIS R from AIRE TEXAS SHOULD HAVE FOUND & DONE THE FIRST TIME! But over 3 weeks later it's finally fixed. I can't speak for the whole company, but the last 3 or 4 techs they sent to us were garbage. Aire Texas was the warranty agent for our home warranty. Their technician first came out in May and said there was no crack in the coil of the AC but it was low on freon. Charged me $85 for the freon. The AC quit working last night and the home warranty company sent Aire Texas out again. He said there was a crack in the coil and that it needed freon. The technician then called the home warranty company and told them it had been leaking freon for a long time and they voided the warranty. Now if the freon had been leaking for a long time and the AC wasn't working do you think I would have waited days and days to call them in the Dallas heat? The AC quit working last night and we called the warranty company today. It was obvious that Aire Texas was in collusion with the warranty company because when I called to see if they could actually fix my AC since the warranty company had denied the claim (thanks to their technician named Kris Huddleston). The lady then said, "we can fix it for $1,050." Something sure sounds unethical here to say the least. I called two other very reputable AC companies in Plano and found the same job for $200-$300 less. read more

First, they indicated we would only be charged a service fee of $55, then 20 minutes later, the tech said the problem was fixed and he charged us $294. Aire Texas was assigned to my service call by my home warranty company. My original issue was that my AC unit was tripping the breaker when it tried to turn on. The first visit they were able to schedule my appointment several days in advance so it could be at a time after work. The technician came out and was literally there for 15 minutes and he said the capacitor was bad and replaced it. this is a $3.00 part mind you. I paid him my $75 service call fee per my warranty rules. If I had called this company out of the blue, I could have used their free service call coupon and only paid $3.00 for the "repair". Less than 30 days later the unit is experiencing the same issues as before and I call my warranty company to have them issue a recall and have Aire Texas back out. They told me that I would not have to pay the $75 service call fee because it was the same issue as before and it wasn't repaired the first time. This time when I try to schedule my recall appointment, they are unable to schedule the appointment in advance stating that they finalize the schedule the day before at 5:00. They at first told me I would have a later afternoon appointment, but then the next day they said I could only have a 9:00 am appt. I even said I was willing to wait a few days so I could have another after 5:00 appt like before and she said they don't do that, the tech is in my area when he is in my area and they can't schedule in advance. This must have been a new policy?? Or maybe they don't treat recall customers as well as first timers??? I took off work to meet the tech the next morning and he was there for over an hour, he said the compressor was failing and he put a hard start kit on the unit as well as charged the unit because it was low. He called his office and next thing you know, he's asking for another $75 fee. We go ahead and pay it because he said the warranty company told him he needed to collect it and that we needed to take it up with our warranty company. Well we did, and they said the exact opposite...that Aire Texas told them that the problem was resolved the first time and that it was a brand new problem this time. So in less than 30 days, my compressor went bad, needed a hard start kit and all the sudden had lost all the coolant and needed to be recharged???? Tell me how that makes any sense. Aire Texas lies to the warranty company as well as warranty customers in an effort to extort money from them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, WARRANTY OR NOT By the way, there are 3 "hidden" reviews for this company that you can't see at first glance, look into them and you will see 2 other people with much of the same complaints as mine and 1 glowing review. Follow Up: My warranty company has agreed that I do not have to use this service provider the next time my unit needs service (which I'm sure it will). We did *not* end up receiving a repair from Aire Texas; they cancelled the repair due to personal social media posts that detailed my ongoing experience with having my A/C repaired via my home warranty and Aire Texas. In fairness, I can understand why they quickly cancelled, as social media posts scrutinizing service delivery can make any business owner anxious. My disappointment with Aire Texas is due to their cancellation, asking me to remove my personal social media posts, repair scheduling once the part arrived, and due to inaccurate diagnosis. Cancellation: I wish they'd proceeded and stood by their previous commitment, especially considering that they were aware we'd been without A/C for 2 weeks in one of Texas' hottest months. Social Media: I was asked to remove my personal posts; this is censorship. I honestly would have removed/updated my posts to reflect service delivery had the company followed through with their commitment, but I was not given that chance. Scheduling: the initial diagnostic service call transpired and AT determined that we needed a compressor, 2 weeks went by (AT was aware we were without A/C during this time/while we waited on the required part to arrive)...it seems reasonable that the day the part delivered, repair would take place. That did not happen. Diagnosis: thank God we were able to get another repairman out day after they cancelled...turns out we didn't even need the expensive part that AT told us we needed. Anyone and any business can have an off day; this was my experience...but by all means, give them a whirl. read more
