Be careful who you call for Viking Repair. I called another company and they charged $69 to come out and give me a quote 3x what I got from Airflo. Airflo was the authorized Viking repair service and it took me a minute to find them even though I had dealt with them before. Viking should make these vendors clear on their website. I won't name the other company, but I was glad I saw through them and said no. I called Airflo and they came out, had the part on the truck and got the repair done in the same day for a fair price. read more

Poor Service and Discrimination I am writing on behalf of the owner (who does not speak English) to file a complaint. About nine months ago, the owner requested their technician to replace the range hood switch. The technician installed the switch incorrectly, upside down, and it barely worked for a while before failing again. At the time, they promised a one-year warranty. Nine months later, the owner contacted them again to fix the switch. The same technician came and, instead of honoring the one-year warranty, demanded additional fees. I called their headquarters to complain on behalf of the owner, and a lady received my call. She lied, slandered, and discriminated against the owner and me. On July 22, during the first call, I expressed dissatisfaction with the technician and requested that the one-year warranty be honored. The lady agreed but stated: 1. The owner chose the cheaper non-original switch, not the original one, which is why it was installed incorrectly. Their technician informed the owner, and the owner agreed, so it was not their fault. 2. The owner does not speak English, so it was his responsibility to have a translator. The truth is, the owner used a translation device and communicated smoothly with the technician. However, he could not read English letters and therefore could not identify the switch was installed upside down immediately. When I asked for the price of the non-original switch and the original switch, the lady said she would consult with her manager. Two days later, she called back and said that the original switch had been installed initially. If it was the original switch, why did the technician install it incorrectly? Why lie and slander the owenr by saying he chose the cheaper switch and agreed to it? The owner does not speak English, but he used a translation device and had no communication barriers. Why blame him for not speaking English? Is it that people who do not speak English do not deserve fair treatment and service? About 10% of the U.S. population cannot speak English fluently. Do these 30 million people deserve to pay over $500 for an original switch installed incorrectly, upside down and only to be blamed for not speaking English? This is blatant discrimination. read more

My service appointment was scheduled within one day of my request. Fast! The service technician was Alex, who had over 20 years of experience. I explained my concerns, and was given a very easy to understand diagnostics report. Alex gave me a clear and itemized estimate of repair costs, and never tried to "sell" me. I have a Viking Range that is roughly 22 years old. It has an oven, 4 burners and a griddle. Alex replaced the oven door hinges and the oven burners. It's like having a brand new oven again. My house was left clean, he gave me all the old parts for my inspection, and the price was very fair. I would strongly recommend AirFlo Company to my family and friends. I am writing this stellar review for Alex and Air Flow both of which were SUPERB in fixing our 18+ year old Viking refrigerator. Alex came to the rescue after having some serious "dark concerns" from the work performed by another contractor and came to us with the endorsement of the Viking company (should have called them first for a referral). Viking gave me two "authorized and approved" service vendors and I went with Air Flow as the closest. From there on it was smooth sailing. David in the office was helpful and friendly and took the parts order and Alex was on time, very professional, beyond honest and knew his trade. I would highly recommend Air Flow. I think this might be my 5th ever review. I don't feel the need to vent but just to inform of this companies policy and services. Similar to most people's experience on these reviews, I have used Air Flo for a few years when needed, but it seems they now have a policy that they only guarantee their labor for 30 days which means if anything goes wrong with their installation of parts, they wont fix it even if it's because of bad workmanship or just plain human error. They don't seem to put much faith in their own work, as most people guarantee their labor for a year. I had an issue with them replacing a fridge door mechanism which opens and closes the door. After a few months the same door came out of alignment and didn't close by itself. When I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked if this had anything to do with the installation of the part and if it didn't and the door was already out of alignment why didn't they fix it- they deflected both scenarios and took no responsibility because the one month labor coverage was over. They didn't even answer the question and said it was probably someone's fault who misused the fridge door. Their advise and the solution was to come out again for a fee of $150 + whatever else it would cost to fix it. To top this unnecessary experience, when trying in various emails to explain that being generous and providing wonderful customer service is good for repeat customer business, the reply came back from their rep who said if I write a review here, it amounted to intimidation and that she would publish our email correspondences. I wish them all well over there at Air Flo but after trying many times and asking them peacefully, they are choosing to lose a customer over an hour of labor to fix an issue they created or didn't fix in the beginning. Our Viking Built - In Gas 27" Wide double ovens needed service because the top oven was not working. Years ago, we needed service and the Viking Manufacturer strongly recommended the Air Flo Company, Inc. and they were outstanding in all aspects of that repair. I contacted AirFlo, Van Nuys, at (818) 989-6262, and spoke with Lucy. Within moments, she pulled the records for our Viking Ovens and was professional in all aspects of her customer service. This afternoon, AirFlo Viking Technician Logan was dispatched to our residence and promptly placed soft booties on his feet and introduced himself. Within ten minutes, Logan identified the problem and had the Viking Manufacturer part to complete the replacement of the igniter for the upper oven. Logan demonstrated all positive aspects of being a total quality service representative of AirFlo and also demonstrated his experience and professional skills in explaining what was necessary to complete the service. Our Viking Ovens have lasted over 26 years and we would never trust anyone other than AirFlo Company, Inc. to service them. They are a Viking authorized vendor. I had a beverage cooler that stopped working they came out for a diagnosis and did not really look at the unit but preached that with there experience the whole seal system needs to be replaced and while the parts are under the manufacturer's warranty labor is high and recommended replacing the unit. The beverage center issue was a failed 25 dollar part and maybe a Freon charge up but they could not diagnosis the issue. Look elsewhere for a Viking authorized repair shop. read more

Setting up and waiting for service calls is never fun and often frustrating. But I had to write a review for AirFLo, because they have been fantastic to work with. Jasmine was my first contact and is always really nice and super helpful. And the tech who has come twice is also nice, super patient with all my questions, and he really knows my range! I have total confidence in what he tells me and he's also just given me great info about cleaners that work great, suggestions about where I place the racks that weren't obvious from the manual, etc. I really appreciate that. WORST SERVICE EVER! Don't use them if at all possible. If I could give lower than one star, I would. This company has no business being in business and either the owners are stupid, blind, or just don't care. Tina, who brags that she's been there over 9 years is inconsistent, and dishonest. Every time she told us something about our appointment and we explained the contradiction in what she said, she changed her story again and again, never taking responsibility for any of her actions or the actions of her team. Never making us feel valued or cared about. She lied about never receiving an order, and when I showed her the proof of the order received, she changed her story blaming someone else. I even had a signature of proof and she still denied it. She claimed we never called her about the situation and when I told her I recorded the call, she again changed her story. She's been rude to us, never made us feel like they appreciated our business, and when we called Viking to see where are parts were and Tim in the corporate offices of Viking heard that we were working with Tina, he groaned his disappointment. My advice is to find someone else to do your service if at all possible. No matter how nice we were, she and her team are rude and very unhelpful. Because of her, we were without a refrigerator for two weeks. This company could gain a much better reputation as a customer-centric business if they fired her and retrained the office staff. read more

I kind of understand why AirFlo only gets 3.5 on Yelp (strict payment and warrantee policies, and perhaps could be more empathetic?), but I have to say they have really come through for my aging Viking fridge, twice now. Victor was my technician both times -- he's punctual, efficient, and knows his Vikings. I'm not saying he is perfect - he's big into the mantra "no one can guarantee anything in life" when it comes to his repairs and it takes effort to get him to flash a smile, but both times his suggested fix was right on, and were done expertly with new, authentic Viking parts. My first repair (Evaporation pan) has not given me any issues in the last 3 years, and the second repair from a couple of weeks ago (some system computer part) equally well done, and my fridge is honestly in the best shape it's been in forever. Victor seems a straight shooter and not out to scam me or anything, and I definitely appreciate that, hence this review. I will definitely call him again for any future Viking appliance repairs. read more

Horrible horrible company . Seems like Sarah is the front and promoter of a dishonest and shady business . We had to have our refrigerator fixed , based on the recommendation of the service guy we chose the generic ( we asked the service man if there was any difference in the functionality between the generic and brand part and he said only the price ) part. The fridge kept making very loud noises after wards called him back and he said all is fine . The fridge kept making the loud noise and we had the service guy come back again and guess what ? He said the problem is because of us Choosing the generic part. Called the office , learned Sarah is the office manager , and she kept denying that the service man would recommend the cheaper part which is exactly what he did . I asked for her supervisor and she said there is no supervisor . I asked her if she is the owner and she said no. Therefore I said I want to talk to the owner . She kept saying she has all the authority , I kept pressing for talking to somebody who is above her and she kept insisting she is the one and finally she said the owners have much better things to do than talking to me . She did not provide me with the option of talking to somebody who is her superior , instead she said I could email her which I told her I don't want to talk to her as sending her an email is the same as the phone conversation we were having . Finally after many exchanges and repeating what was already discussed , I told her I want the owner to call me and she said she will relay the message but saying that talking to the owner would not get me anywhere . We will see if I get a call back ! We spend about close to $2000 to fix our fridge initially and they wanted an additional $662 to fix the same thing they had been paid already originally . This company took 4 weeks to order a part for my mom's Viking! So for 4 weeks I had no fridge. Then after numerous phone calls to see the status of my order they came and charged me $450 for parts and labor, and told me to wait 1-2 days for the computer to reset itself. After 2 days the fridge was still freezing everything in it. They came and said it needs 3 parts to be changed, but this time they will not charge me labor, the cost $500!!! I finally said no and the guy left. He speaks poor english and when the going gets tough he simply says "I don't understand what you're saying!" I called another company they came and saw that the little fan inside the fridge was upside down!!!!! Charged me $75 and the fridge works flawlessly now! I visited AirFlo's Yelp listing to look up the phone number for this company from which I had previously gotten service and saw a few negative reviews. I felt compelled to share my experiences since they vary from those of other reviewers. I've spent thousands of dollars on the purchase of a Viking Range, Fridge, and Barbecue for my home, and the most important thing to me is to have their lives extended by regular and knowledgeable service. AirFlo has been to my home four times over the past five years. Two of those times, the office manager actually called me back after the original scheduling of my appointments to let me know that they could actually accommodate me sooner, given that the serviceman was in the neighborhood and done with his previous appointment early (I've never experienced this with any other service company). Another time, the gentleman didn't have parts on hand, but returned within 2-3days to finish the repair of my barbecue. During each visit, I was only charged for the parts and labor, despite the fact that I was quoted a service visit charge over the phone. Apparently, they apply the charge to the work, which I thought to be fair. I've used the company many times and will continue to--especially since this was the firm that was referred to me when I called Viking directly for a referral. read more

I have never written a yelp review in my life but I was so disappointed in my recent experience with Air Flo Company for the repair of my LYNX barbeque that i needed to write one. LYNX bbq's are very expensive to repair and with Covid and supply chain issues we understood that it was going to be very expensive and we would have a long wait for the parts. After waiting for 3-4 months for the parts they finally came out to repair the bbq. Unfortunately the middle rack for the briquet holders was not the right size so everything else was repaired, the job was done okay and then we had to wait over 3 months for the correct part. Still, not mad, things happen and whether AirFlo ordered the wrong part or LYNX sent the wrong part we do not know. Finally they come back after over 90 more days and installed the missing part. My wife asked them to make sure the gas holes in the middle area were clear as they had been uncovered due to the proper briquet piece not being installed and asked them to turn it on just to make sure it was working okay. This would have taken literally a minute or two, but the technician, with a very bad attitude told my wife that if he did that he would have to charge us a $200 service call because it was 90 days after the last service call. Of course the only reason they came 90 days later was because they had the wrong part in the first place. This is literally after we paid $2,000 - $3,000 for the repair of the bbq and waited over 6 months for them to finish the job. Called the manager to tell him what happened and he took no responsibility and wanted to argue that this service policy is acceptable. I will never use them again. read more

HORRIBLE COMPANY!! After posting my bad experiences with this company that you all can review above, minutes later I received a call from Sarah who made my appointment. She was calling to inform me that she was notified of my comments on yelp and in retaliation she cancelled my next service appointment who she scheduled just minutes before the comment was made on yelp. As a business you are not legally authorized to hunt down and penalize your patrons due to their bad experiences with your company especially after a bad review on yelp. I am utterly disappointed with their service as well as their business practices and I am currently pursuing further with the better business bureau. Deal with them at your own risk and hopefully you will behave like a trained patron and not have anything negative to say because you will be penalized as I was. read more

Oven fixed less than 2.5 hours from when I called. Strongly recommend. Our viking oven started acting up, not lighting properly sometimes and the door hinges no longer holding the door up. I called on a Friday afternoon at 2:45pm expecting to schedule an appointment for the following week. Instead, Alex offered to meet me at my house in 15 minutes. He made it there before I did. Alex looked at the oven and was very confident that he knew the cause and seemed very knowledgeable about everything. He gave me a quote and I asked when he would come back to do the work. He laughed and said he had all the parts in the truck and would be done in less than an hour. True to his word, he was done in an hour, and even re-calibrated the oven for free. Like I said, I expected this to be a multi-week experience, so happy to be done with it in a little over 2 hours. read more

I called to let her know that their very nice technician showed me an out of pocket bill that totaled 700 to fix our Viking after extreme water damage. I told him that was alot to pay out of pocket before we know if insurance will approve both parts. He said the first part was mandatory and said it would be ok to wait on the second part until after we clear the amount through our insurance. He said he would return and install it. I paid him 400 and took a photo of the bid for 700.00. He knew I was taking videos and pics for insurance and even let me take a photo of the bid on his computer. I cleared things through insurance with the bid that was given to me by air flo co. I called today and asked Sarah to send me a copy of the receipt over as I had never received it over email. I told her that I had let insurance know and was given the go ahead to have him install the second part. The 2nd part cost 160.00. She then sent me a new bid to install that same 160.00 part that was now suddenly over 500.00. I told her that must be a mistake as I have a pic and video stating that the remaining bill would be around 240. With part and installation. She said "oh insurance will just pay it" I said, "Why would the price almost triple after I tell you that my insurance is paying for it?" Sarah became very reactionary, defensive and extremely rude. She said "one of you is lying" meaning either me or her technician, but no possible mistake in her part. she said I was threatening her because I told her my man was witness to it all and is law enforcement. She said it's illegal for me to take video and photos of her technician for insurance. I stayed very calm and let her know that I would now be recording our call and needed to speak to her supervisor. She, as a representative of AIr flo co and Viking did not stay calm. She became irate. I again asked to please speak to her supervisor as her reaction was hysterical so that would mean it's historical for her meaning personal transference on her part and not appropriate in a business setting. Sarah stated that there is no one higher than her at Air Flo. I asked for her last name and she refused to give it. She then said that Air Flo will be sending someone out to remove the parts that were installed in my Viking Stove that I have already paid for in full and would be refusing service to me moving forward. I told Sarah that since we weren't getting anywhere and that she doesn't have the ability to stay professional and respectful while conducting business and apparently she has no supervisor of any kind then I will have my lawyers and my insurance co handle things from here. She then stated that I was "threatening" her. In 25 years of owning @viking and always loving them, I am saddened and outraged at the behavior of this girl who is not only is a representation of @viking but apparently is equivalent to the owner of Air Flo? A lot of bad reviews and many involving Sarah. I'm surprised that the actual owner still allows her to work here. They will in fact be hearing from my insurance co and my lawyers. I don't recommend this company. I have a Viking dual fuel range. The electric oven stopped working and I called this company because it was Viking "authorized." The man who came had to return an additional time even though it was a cycling relay. He replaced it. It failed again a year later. I called and asked for a different service technician, someone who knew what he problem was. Replacing the same part seemed to be fixing the symptoms but not the cause. I was dressed down by the woman on the phone who took the order. Sher sent the same guy. We went through the same drill. It happened one more time, except the woman on the phone was abusive and she sent a different guy. Who had to come back twice. Another company also replaced the relay without fixing the problem. Finally I got wise and called Viking. Viking put me in touch with a company in Westchester. They researched the problem and ordered a kit that Viking had fabricated in 2007. There is also a Viking 2007 service bulletin on the subject. The Airflo people never bothered to look for it and took a lot of my money repairing a switch that kept burning out. And they were very unfriendly about their own incompetence. read more

We have owned our Viking Gas Double Oven since 1996 and it has been an awesome exceptionally well made product. Recently, the upper oven apparently had some heating issues and we contacted Viking Corp and inquired about a recommended Service Provider and the Viking customer service representative recommended the AirFlo Company in Van Nuys, and provided us with their phone number (877) 724-7356. This afternoon, Air Flo Company contacted us and advised their Technician Yuriy was running ahead of schedule and would arrive shortly. Within five minutes of examining our oven, Yuriy diagnosed the problem and needed to check his truck for a new bake igniter which was worn out. Minutes later, Yuriy returned with the noted replacement part and serviced our oven. It is interesting to note that Yuriy placed protective soft covers over his shoes to protect our wood floors. Yuriy was a true professional and double checked everything prior to closing up the oven. Every employee from the receptionist to the highly trained Tech Yuriy were professional in all aspects of our contacts with them. As we recently determined, Viking no longer makes a double gas oven and my wife and I have only owned gas ovens during our past 42 plus years together. Yuriy gave our Viking oven new life and made my wife and I very pleased with the quality service provided by Air Flo. As noted, we have owned this double gas Viking oven for over 22 years and appreciate Viking Corp for referring us to such professional factory authorized appliance service providers. Thank you! These guys fixed out Viking range and dishwasher. When you call Viking corporate and ask for authorized repair companies, this was the first to show up based on our location. They show up on time and have the right parts in their van to repair. Each time, they were able to diagnose and fix the issue. Now, keep in mind, Viking parts are expensive, but Airflo is fair about the cost and labor. I have added these guys to my contacts for future repairs. read more
