    Their genies technician install an original switch upside down, charge the owner over $500+.

    Poor Service and Discrimination I am writing on behalf of the owner (who does not speak English) to file a complaint. About nine months ago, the owner requested their technician to replace the range hood switch. The technician installed the switch incorrectly, upside down, and it barely worked for a while before failing again. At the time, they promised a one-year warranty. Nine months later, the owner contacted them again to fix the switch. The same technician came and, instead of honoring the one-year warranty, demanded additional fees. I called their headquarters to complain on behalf of the owner, and a lady received my call. She lied, slandered, and discriminated against the owner and me. On July 22, during the first call, I expressed dissatisfaction with the technician and requested that the one-year warranty be honored. The lady agreed but stated: 1. The owner chose the cheaper non-original switch, not the original one, which is why it was installed incorrectly. Their technician informed the owner, and the owner agreed, so it was not their fault. 2. The owner does not speak English, so it was his responsibility to have a translator. The truth is, the owner used a translation device and communicated smoothly with the technician. However, he could not read English letters and therefore could not identify the switch was installed upside down immediately. When I asked for the price of the non-original switch and the original switch, the lady said she would consult with her manager. Two days later, she called back and said that the original switch had been installed initially. If it was the original switch, why did the technician install it incorrectly? Why lie and slander the owenr by saying he chose the cheaper switch and agreed to it? The owner does not speak English, but he used a translation device and had no communication barriers. Why blame him for not speaking English? Is it that people who do not speak English do not deserve fair treatment and service? About 10% of the U.S. population cannot speak English fluently. Do these 30 million people deserve to pay over $500 for an original switch installed incorrectly, upside down and only to be blamed for not speaking English? This is blatant discrimination.

    They came out twice and tried to fix my Lynx BBQ - Rotisserie Still does not work and they blame the rotisserie unit which is brand new.

I mentioned I had another commitment in the afternoon, but Sam insisted on coming in the morning between 9-10 AM to take a look himself. He quickly diagnosed that the fan wasn't working and replaced it right away, providing a 3-month warranty for parts and labor. Later that same day, around 10:30 PM, the refrigerator stopped working again, no compressor or fan sound, but the power was on. Since it was the weekend, I couldn't reach him immediately. On Monday morning, I called Sam, and he promptly scheduled an appointment for the same day between 3-6 PM. He arrived on time, diagnosed that the main board had failed, and ordered a replacement part. Two days later, Sam came back without me needing to follow up, replaced the board, and our refrigerator was working perfectly again. He charged a very reasonable price and gave a 1-year warranty for parts and labor. Sam is polite, professional, and genuinely cares about helping his customers. I feel so lucky to have found Sam Appliance Repair, this is exactly why he deserves 5 stars. Thank you so much, Sam!

Nick arrived on the scene and he was a complete pro. He used his tools, did his tests, and not only explained things easily for me to understand, he told me what was wrong (which nothing was actually wrong).     Two and a half years ago, my dishwasher was leaking so I called TJ bc of its strong reviews on…read moreyelp. Eugene came to evaluate and said it needed new gaskets and quoted me $280. I thought it was high and asked if it was better to replace my dishwasher all together since it was pretty old (10+ years). He said it was a good dishwasher and to replace the gaskets. I should have done more research and not relied on the vendors advice but I trusted him bc of the reviews so I went ahead with the $280. A year after the repairs, the gaskets started falling out so I called TJ, and they said bc it was just over a year, the work was no longer on warranty and recommended just to push the gaskets back into place. Now a year and a half after that, parts of the gaskets have broken apart and they remain loose so the dishwasher leaks. So I ended up buying a new dishwasher which I could have done 2.5 years ago if I got good advice. Or if I got good repairs that would have lasted more than a year, or even if he was willing to fix his own poorly done repair after a year, I wouldn't be writing this review. Just bc there are good reviews doesn't mean you shouldn't do your due diligence. Lesson learned. Response to Tony's response: nice chat GPT generated response.
