I called and the young man started they had it and that they would hold it for me. I went back a few days later to pick up my blanket and they started they could not find it. One of the young men who worked in the store proceeded to call the employees in which a few stated they saw it sitting by a door. He proceeded to call another employee not realizing she was on speaker phone she stated that another employee took the blanket and another employee wanted it but forgot to grab it. He then walked outside and back in and stated nobody had the blanket and he didn't know where it was I told him I heard the lady on the phone say someone took my blanket. Not mad about the blanket being gone because I can get another more or so mad that an employee STOLE MY BLANKET!!!! That is the poorest thing I've ever seen in my life. I made three separate reservations to access my boxes giving 24 hours, 36 hours and 6 days notice- each time, staff informed me they never received my reservations. I am not sure if the communication problem is just this location or company wide, but my current wait time on the 800 number is 43 minutes. Uhaul customer service leaves much to be desired!!!

I drove up to the gate to input my key code and it said "access denied." Thinking maybe my key code was incorrectly dialed in. I tried again and the same thing happened. Ok then, let me go into the office and see what's up. I gave the peoples my name to look up my account, and I forgot the exact date I started with them. Today's the 30th, they told me I was ONE DAY LATE from paying my bill, so they mentioned they put a padlock on my storage unit. Then up to this point, everything is all good. This is the dialogue. "Ma'am, I'm going to close out my account today. I don't think there's anything in the unit but wanted to double check and recover my lock." "Sir, well since you are a day late, we locked up your storage unit. We can PRORATE you a price for a day, so you can grab your items." I'm thinking to myself, are you serious, 'PRORATE You a Price.' They also Had to mentioned that if I left any items in the unit they will charge for cleaning it out. Shaking my head at all this nonsense, for one day. So it's totally my fault not coming beforehand and I get that, but the principle of the One Day is driving me crazy. Just be aware, also the Prorated Price was $5 for one day. I recovered my lock and in the unit was only a folded up moving box. If they wanted $5 they could of just asked me for it instead of this nonsense. Lesson of today, "Don't be ONE Day Late or You'll pay A Prorated Fee.' Guaranteed!!!

We intended on having our stuff in storage for only a month, maybe two. That turned into four…read moremonths. I was very hesitant and scared to put our stuff in storage (everything we owned- beds, couch, majority of our clothing, dressers- everything!). When we got the unit, the staff was SO friendly, and we got a deal. The day that we moved all our stuff in was a day after a bad storm. The floor of our unit was slightly wet with a mini puddle. This stressed me out more. I ended up buying a $15 tarp from wal*mart and putting it down, and then taped it up on the walls. This helped a lot! It continued to get damp during our items' stay, so I would recommend doing the tarp. All in all, our stuff stayed dry & safe. The smell isn't the best, but it just smells like it's been sitting in storage for months, which it has. I re-washed all my clothes that were in there- just to get the storage smell out. I would recommend this storage facility overall. The staff is really what sold this facility to me over others.
