Absolutely lovely visit, wonderful staff, very caring. Quick and efficient. We're visiting on vacation turns out my dog was bit by something. Everything's gonna be OK and we will still have a wonderful vacation this week! Thank you for everything!!

I had to rush one of my puppies to the vet. A coworker recommended this vet clinic and I am SO glad she did. The ladies at the front desk were very professional, efficient, and caring. Dr. Haeusler was gentle, thorough and very honest. I will be using them for all of my veterinary needs in the future.

I proceeded to call Airport Vet, since they were the closest vet, and asked if they would take in an injured kitten.

The best part is that we literally live next door. The first visit was when my dog ate an Advil and we were obviously panicked. They took us in immediately and made my dog feel comfortable while still working quickly to get his vitals. We had a bad experience with another vet office where three techs held him down because he wasn't being cooperative. Destin Animal Clinic is patient and empathetic, which is crucial when dealing with sensitive animals. Their prices are very fair especially since Destin is a high-cost area; It's nice to see a vet who isn't solely focused on increasing profits. I highly recommend trusting them with your pet's medical care!

Our appointment was scheduled for 9:15 AM for routine vaccines, and we didn't finish until almost noon. I understand that veterinary clinics can get backed up and unexpected things can happen, but when clients arrive on time for their scheduled appointments, their time should also be respected. If the clinic is running significantly behind, I feel they should communicate that with clients so they can make an informed decision about waiting. A nearly three-hour visit for routine vaccines was frustrating and made the experience less than ideal. Hopefully, the clinic can improve communication and scheduling so they can better value their clients' time.

I know they did what they could for my dog, and I don't doubt that they meant well. That said, I need to share my experience so others can make fully informed decisions. My 10-year-old dog was in respiratory distress, with multiple serious health issues including a heart murmur, congestive heart failure, and a collapsed trachea. She was placed in oxygen and given medications. I was told she had stabilized enough to go home after a 12-hour stay. They called and said, "you can come get your baby girl she's good to go home." As you can imagine we were so excited!! She pulled through and we were going to get more time with her. We showed up to get her and when they brought her to us she was panting the same way she was when I brought her in. I asked if they were sure she was ok to go home, and they said yes that's it's just anxiety and she's been doing great. So, they gave her a couple of anxiety pills and after a $1900 bill sent us on our way. But the moment we got home, it was clear she was not okay. She was panting, disoriented, lifting her head to breathe, and unable to settle. She wouldn't even look at me -- completely unlike her. Despite being told she had been off oxygen and doing fine in a regular room, I now believe she was never truly stable. She passed away at 4:30 a.m. just hours after coming home. I'm grateful to have been with her at the end -- but it was traumatic, and I can't help but feel she should have never been discharged in that condition. I wish I'd been given a clearer, more honest picture of her state. If I had known how close she was to the end, I would have chosen to let her go peacefully at the hospital instead of watching her struggle all night. I'm sharing this with love, not anger. But I do hope the hospital reflects on how fragile animals like her are, and how important transparency is -- especially when time is short.

She is a 10 year old who has been groomed regularly her entire life with only one incident of injury (a cut in between her paw pads). All groomers have consistently praised her for being a sweet dog and a pleasure to groom. Dropping her off found facility appearance and greeting was pleasant. When I picked her up the owner advised my dog was kind of squirmy during grooming. Immediately upon returning home she began persistent licking and chewing all over her body and it was obvious that either her skin was very irritated or she had possibly picked up some fleas. Upon inspecting her I found she had multiple clipper burns on her belly and on the insides of her rear legs. Also noted her hair cut was pretty choppy and overall it did not appear she had been groomed by an experienced professional. After 5 days of the constant licking and chewing I took her to the veterinarian to see if it could be determined what was causing such terrible irritation. Vet believed she was having an allergic reaction possibly to the shampoo as when she examined her closely found raw spots all over her body but no visible evidence of fleas so she put her on a 15 day course of prednisone. Now after 7 days of prednisone she is much better. Vet expressed that maybe she shouldn't be groomed there anymore. Based on the poor quality of cut, multiple clipper burns and such serious skin irritation I don't believe we will be using this groomer again.

Sheldon is about 16 lbs and STRONG, so for me to bathe him myself is just not an option. Enter Cat Clinic of Destin. They do an amazing job, make recommendations where appropriate (i.e. a mild chill pill for Mr. Sheldon before he comes to see them so everyone's life is better :) ), and really care for my babies how I would if I could. And their prices are slightly better than a certain chain pet store located nearby. ;) I do not have them being seen there for vet because I have a friend who is a tech at a place in Fort Walton, but they went ahead and set up charts for both my boys anyway, so I know if one of them had to be seen and I couldn't get them into Fort Walton, this is an option closer to home. Nothing but rave reviews for this local business!

We also use them as our vet and we highly recommend Dr. Flaherty! Since they specialize in cats they've found (common feline) problems our previous vet missed.
