I have been a "customer" of Airtech's for over 15 years. I received my first pager there when I was a teen, my first cell phone, etc. My family has also been repeat customers there for years. At that time, Kenny and Kathy were running the shop. In the "old days," when they were located on the first floor of the Topanga Mall, the gentleman Kenny, lady Kathy, and his staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and resourceful. I was able to get any question answered, have service provider issues resolved, hardware problems fixed, and so on. Now, Kathy and Kenny aren't there any more. However, he'd grown the business, quite successfully I might add, into a larger shop. Now located on the 2nd floor of the Topanga Mall, with more sales floor space, clearer displays, great product placement, and a much better back office room. Now the shop is run by a large number of "kids" who aren't as helpful or resourceful as the previous staff. At that, the way that they treat customers is almost rude. ALMOST, but not quite. With the exception of 2 individuals there, whom I do not recall the names of, they aren't very helpful. A lesson in customer service, etiquette, and simple manners would be a blessing to many of the staff. (Or maybe a "Corporate America" job...) I recently had my 30th birthday, and my father was kind enough to purchase a new phone for me (HTC Touch), and pay for a month of service with T-Mobile - unlimited talk, text, web. I even got a screen shield, but for an additional charge. Excellent service provider, excellent phone reviews. HOWEVER, I was given the display case phone, and within 2 days I was having major issues with this piece of hardware. I should have known better and been more patient, maybe waited for the next shipment, but the phone looked cool and I impulsively was drawn to it... I had to have this phone. Continuing my poor experience, when I went to return the phone I was first told that I must have dropped it, or that I wasn't charging the phone properly, or this or that reason that it was MY fault, not their responsibility to provide quality customer service. All the staff did is disappear into the back, and come back out with their insinuating commentary about how and why the phone came to be so dysfunctional. After returning the phone to Airtech and asking for replacement hardware, I was given a "loaner" phone and told they would need approximately a week or so to get my phone back. Now, from my previous experiences with phone hardware replacements, its a simple overnight ship out, and a replacement is overnighted back to the store. Its a total 72 hour process. Simple, Right? Wrong... Ten, yes ladies and gentlemen, TEN (10) days later, I get a replacement phone. If its any consolation to the reader - At Least this wasn't the display phone...it was a new phone, not a refurbished one, so at that, I'm satisfied, and have been with this phone since. Before I left the shop, it dawned on me that such a nice phone deserves some protection. I purchased a cover, which they didn't have rubberized, for the phone. Well, that was also not in stock...another week, I was told. I called today, and was told it might be today, it might be another couple of days, and they aren't sure. I then asked about the replacement screen shield, and was given a soft "yes" to my question. Not a real comforting feeling that I'm dealing with a bunch of staff that cares if I'll be a returning customer or not. It has been 16 years that I've been dealing with Airtech, but I think that may not last much longer, not at this rate. To conclude, once I receive my last pieces of protective hardware for this wonderful phone, I'll not be shopping there again for quite awhile. I would not recommend that you shop there for anything that you can get from any other cell phone shop, or direct from a service provider. Simply put, their customer service leaves much to be desired. Now lets see when I finally get my phone protection hardware... will it even be this week? If I don't have it by EOB tomorrow, I'm going to go get my money back. read more

35 min and my destroyed phone glass was replaced + got a great deal on the case and front glass. It was $160 for iPhone X, seemed a bit expensive but wouldn't know w/o comparing to other places. I first called another location but they were busy so sent me to the mall one - and 35 min on Saturday for my phone to look as good as new and with warranty- worth 5 stars! Thanks guys read more

These crooks dropped my phone while they were servicing it, then denied it and were completely unwilling to help figure out what had happened or fix it. I came in to get a no contract/month-to-month mobile plan on my iPhone and a Jailbreak. The sales rep pushed only red pocket wireless and was reluctant to give me info on any other carrier. He also tried to convince me that I needed the most expensive plan even after I made it clear that I hardly use my phone for calls or web. I was desperate for a phone so, despite his attitude, I went with a pretty basic plan- and gave him the phone to install the new sim and jailbreak. When I returned for the phone 40 minutes later he asked if I also wanted to fix the glass that was now separating from the iphone frame. I explained that when I gave them the phone the corner of the plastic frame below the glass was missing a small section, however the glass was still attached to the phone. Light was now leaking through the glass frame on the side of the phone and I was certain it had not been that way when I turned it in. I waited another 45 minutes while the manager helped every other customer possible before agreeing to let us see the security video from the time we came into the store. They then said "alright well you can watch the video from over there (over 7ft from the monitor) and if you see anything then let us know". The cameras aren't there to protect your items from damage. They're there to protect the merchandise while these guys take turns giving each other "massages" in the back room. What great customer service..... read more

Shady (shawdee) is awesome. I've been coming here for years, because he's truly an expert when it comes to cell phones. He can take traded in old cell phones, and give you good credit towards other nice used/unlocked ones in stock, and of course he also has a solid variety of new ones too. He also has just about every service provider in-house, and can set up billing, as well as port numbers over for you. Sometimes this place can get busy, but it's worth the wait! read more

What can i say about these assholes, i went in assuming i was gonna get a good deal on a phone charger for an L.G. phone. I paid just a little over $20.00 dollars for it, i should of gotten a clue that it wasn't going to work the minute i saw it. The charger wasn't brand new let alone in a package it seemed like he sold me his used and abused charger, i came home started using it, the charger took over an hour to at least get to 5% of battery power, and instead of charging the phone it dechagers it, these dudes are crooks, DO NOT SHOP HERE. I walk into this store for 1st time today with my IPhone and ask to switch it to TMobile, the guy SHADI helping me tells me to expect 3G speeds with the Tmobile once I switch over. I say ok no problem. After I get speeds of 0.05 MB/S. This guy has the nerve to look me in the eyes and with a STRAIGHT FACE...tell me that 0.05 mbps is 3G!!! JOKE! read more

I had Yonni help me out to fix my broken cracked screen, the moment I came in he was very professional. He checked my phone in all areas, the home button, the speaker and testing if things are working fine or not. When I walked in I forgot I had problems with my home button, I didnt even know he could fix it and he let me know that he would try his best to fix it but because (he said a bunch of specific things of what was wrong) basically of the state, even putting a new screen on would disable the home screen and I would need to use the floating home button on the screen instead. When I came back an hour later he let me know things went great and that they had put on 4 different screens to try to save my home button and the fourth screen worked. It looked just like new! I bought a case that was similar to the otter box but was a lot sleeker and slimmer and it was beautiful. I told him how grateful I was and he put on a screen protector for me for free! Highly suggest you don't go here... They fixed my screen a week ago and my phone has had more problems with the screen, I think they used cheap glass or something. Don't trust second hand stores just take your phone to the Apple Store so it can be done right! read more

I've been going here for years and must say that they have great prices, great customer service, and most repairs are done same day within an hour. My sons phone had water damage and Apple told us that it was not able to be fixed and that we had to buy a new phone, we took it here for a second opinion and they fixed it for $35 over 6 months ago and we've had no problems since.
