Located on the second floor in a suite that accepts walk in. The smell might be the first thing you notice when u walk in here. Sadly they would'nt give me every aroma they used in there to put in my apartment Came in at 1130am on Thursday with no reservation. Was told we could wait til 12 in their lobby or walk around and come back Once we were in the room no one came in for about 10 mins. Just laying around in my underwear. They apologized many times and offered a hot stone treatment to make up for it which my mom quickly accepted and loved. They definitely listened when i mentioned too much pressure being applied. Extremely painful massage. I was just about ready to give up the nuclear launch codes by halfway through. I have had professional massages a bunch of other times, in several different countries, and this is by far the most pain I have been in during and following a massage. It is a week later and my neck is stiff and hard to turn and my back is killing me. I had requested the "lomi lomi" massage, which is supposed to be similar to a Swedish massage and relaxing, not deep tissue. My husband requested some other massage and it seems like we more or less got the same beating. That said, a week later I am much more worse for wear than him, probably because I am much smaller than he is. The spa environment was clean and peaceful. The staff was friendly and gracious. When the pain of the massage got to be too much to bear I asked to tone it down, and the therapist apologized for hurting me, but it pretty much remained grueling the whole way through. I also had no forewarning about the drastic, rapid ways in which my neck would be snapped, so no opportunity there for me to request less severity. I have had massages that were somewhat painful before, but I generally felt better after those, so I probably submitted to more pain here than I should have. Instead of feeling renewed, I have not felt well all week. If you Google "Thai massage," you will find that it is known for being extremely painful. I didn't know that before, but now I do. At first she was going in really hard, so I had to let her know to go more gently. After she adjusted her pressure, it still was hurting but sooo good. Everyone was very friendly, they spent time asking about what we wanted to do (in our case, we needed a combination massage with some stretching after a long flight), and the facility was very clean. I booked a couples massage (prenatal massage for myself) for 60 minutes for $180 (other places offer cheaper couples massages but I thought for the price I would get a higher-quality massage but I was wrong). My biggest complaint is that I could not get comfortable or relax because the two massage therapists were talking so much (a much older lady with grey hair and a middle-aged lady)! The first 15-20 minutes they were chatting nonstop and right when things got quiet again they started conversing. Very unprofessional and disruptive. I've never experienced this before at a massage place. I've gotten prenatal massages before and I don't think this older lady knew how to give a prenatal massage. First, she had a mask on and was coughing. While I appreciated the mask I wish they would have paired me with someone who isn't sick. Halfway through the massage she had me lay completely flat on my back (anyone who has even a Google-level amount of knowledge about pregnancy knows this is a pregnancy no-no). I laid on my back for 30 minutes... and I was staring at the clock waiting for the massage to be over because I felt so uncomfortable. They finished early so the actual massage was really between 50-55 minutes. I would NOT recommend for ladies looking for prenatal massage. We felt welcomed and comfortable throughout, and the massage was one of the best massages we have experienced. They are really so kind and thoughtful, which made us very comfortable. I don't know how, but since about a week ago, my neck, shoulder and right arm started to throb. A case of Salonpas, a vat of Tiger Balm or hanging from a tree limb wouldn't help. There were a few highly recommended places, and I chose at random. I called the number, and got a recording. I left my name and number, and about 10 minutes later, I got a call back. I was able to get an appointment within three hours, so I took it. A few hours went by and I headed to the Century Center. Got up to the 36th floor and rang the doorbell. I was 15 minutes early, so I was asked to wait in one of the rooms. A few minutes later, my masseuse walks in. She greeted me and asked me with a heavy Thai accent, "Ha you like massage? Saf, medum or ha?" Well, this girl was 4'9" & 85 lbs, had she been wearing heels and a diver's belt. How much pressure could she apply? "Make it hard." Four seconds later, I'm screaming "No! Medium! Medium! Me dee ahmmm!!" This girl who reminded me of an Asian Eva Mendez and SHE HAD A HELLUVA GRIP! She probably could have skinned a golf ball with her bare hands!! I told her about my right arm, and she concentrated on it, trying to get the knots out. As she kneaded my muscles, I could hear and feel some cracking and popping. It was painful, yet relaxing. 90 minutes went by so quickly. A dollar a minute, well worth it! My arm moves freely, my shoulder's not throbbing and my neck turns. I was so happy I tipped her $40. I get Thai Massages all over the world, so I shoulda know better than to get one in Waikiki and expect a high standard. Same person asked me 3 times if I wanted 90 minutes instead of 60. The therapist was getting hot so she cranked up the AC, and when I asked to turn it down she didn't. When I called, I asked for a strong massuse and they basically gave me the laziest one. She verball recognized how tight I was and then proceeded to give me a half-ass low presssure massage. There are plenty of other options on the island, just not as convenient of a location. Do yourself a favor and travel alittle further for FAR better service where they are trying to build regular business. Here they half as you and know they won't ever see you again.
