This place is a hit or miss. I used to come here a lot when I was in high school (6-7 years ago) to get my eyebrows threaded but I haven't been back since. The reviews for this place are very mixed and scare me from coming back. The times I have been were positive, but other times I've had bad experiences with them taking too much off my eyebrows after I specified I just wanted a clean up and to change nothing about the shape. This has affected me physically and emotionally, and it is something I am still trying to recover from. Awful Experience - Zero Stars If I Could I came in with clear balayage photos, but instead of the look I wanted, I ended up with blotchy, orange ombre hair. The stylist claimed she hadn't used bleach, despite the harsh chemicals burning my eyes. She even got bleach on my lashes due to sloppy technique. When I asked what products she used, it was clear she didn't know. Frustrated, I asked her to dye my hair back to its natural black. I was still charged for the balayage I never got. To make matters worse, I later found out her license had expired. I went in with healthy hair and left with damaged hair. i've been to aisha's for years now, typically to get my eyebrows threaded for an occasion and for the most part i have never had a complaint by the service they provide! for the price, their work is great and extremely quick and i've had different beauticians work on me. came by today for a lash lift and tint for the first time. i should've known better since my lashes weren't too voluminous to begin with, the lift did it's job and again for the price ($50) it was not bad at all however i feel like i could've gone without the tint, i did not notice any difference and felt like it was a bit of a waste. brows (9/10) sometimes they tend to thin my eyebrows a bit lash lift (7/10) did its job lash tint (1/10) may work better for someone with already light lashes (side note: i did notice my eyes a bit irritated right after the service, i did put in some eyedrops to relieve it, but had received no actual aftercare info) read more

I came in for threading to be done on my eyebrows and upper lip and I knew off the bat that the technician did not want to work on me. She had a poor attitude when the receptionist sat me in her chair. When it came to threading my eyebrows, she didn't ask me to hold my lids or stretch it for her to work. She simply said that the hairs were too small and needed to be waxed. In fact, the hairs were over grown by 2 months and could've been threaded if she asked me to hold my eyes. She then continued to wax my brows and I knew she made a huge mistake because it started to burn. She said don't touch it. Whatever. I get home and look in the mirror and see a huge chunk of skin removed from my face because of the wax that I didn't even want in the first place. If she couldn't or didn't want to thread my eyebrows, she should've passed me on to someone else. I will never ever ever go back to this place. This is specifically my experience at the Hillcroft Location, but this might as well apply to other places. This is how I got burns on my pelvic area and witnessed unhygienic practices amongst the employees after one waxer did not wash her hands after touching various intimate parts of my body. I've had many Brazilian waxes done, but this was my first time at Aisha's Spa and Salon. I also used to go to places that were also Desi-run businesses, so I'm familiar with that kind of background & setting. A Brazilian is up-kept every once a month or 2 months. Even if I neglect that, the women I would regularly get Brazilians from could wax long pbic hair w/out causing injury. I thought this would be similar to past experiences & expected some pain since I didn't get waxed for 4 months. Here's what happened at Aisha's. The wax was applied on me in a weird way. I saw that it was a "roll-on wax cartridge." Usually, a dollop of wax is spread with a craft stick & then waxed off with a strip. Other places even use alcohol-free, hard wax that helps grab the hair--not the skin--& removes easily without strips. A "roll-on wax cartridge" for a Brazilian is unusual. Still, I thought this was a professional, so she must know what she's doing. Nope! 1). Wax was reapplied constantly bcuz the roll-on didn't stick to the hair properly. If anything, it just stuck to the skin. 2). Every single waxer I've met said that they wouldn't go over a certain amount of times bcuz that can damage the skin. I'm fine with a few stragglers. I can just shave/pluck them off. But the waxer kept going over some stubborn hairs above my ur€thra (15 times). The skin turned extremely tender and raw. I told her to leave some areas alone. She would say, "ok, ok." Then she'll go over that area AGAIN a minute later. She also told me to pull my skin in places so she to take out more hairs easily, but it was excruciating to just stretch the skin. When I got home, I showered with antibacterial soap. The tender areas began to burn. Too many layers of skin were stripped away, and I was left with maroon-coloured burn marks all over that region. 3). I HATE the roll-on wax cartridge. That's a red flag for me from now on any time I go to a waxing center. It's not a practical tool for course hair. Stickiness after waxing is normal, but this was to the point that waxing became impractical. The wax strips were sticking to incorrect places, not pulling on the hairs, & even the lady's hands were getting stuck together, making it harder for her. Did I mention she didn't use gloves? 4). She wasn't wearing gloves. I didn't realize it in the beginning because it's such an obvious precaution to take. She was even pulling at my hairs down there to trim a bit, w/out gloves!!!!! That's a potential biohazard for BOTH of us. I wasn't sure if she was being hygienic btwn sessions. Even THEN, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I thought, "The less plastics wasted is better I guess. She must wash her hands diligently if she doesn't wear gloves." 5). I ended my session early bcuz I could only tolerate so much pain in an intimate area. As I was leaving, she follows me to the front counter & picks up a pen and begins writing on some paper. She. Did. Not. Wash. Her. Hands. This suggests that she probably doesn't wash her hands btwn sessions. If she does, it's likely she's not thorough. Germs could've spread to me, like UTI or skin infection. Staff & other clients are at risk too. I'm very tempted to contact the Health Department. The problem is I didn't record the instance, of course. Do not go here. Unless you want burns or a disease. I would not give money to a business that puts clients and other employees at risk just because some lady decided not to wash her hands after dealing with someone's n€ther regions. read more

Today I got full arm waxing done and it was the worst experience ever. I usually get waxing done from this location but never was treated this way. It was new person they had hire. And I was treated like she was not interested in doing this service. She was on the phone while waxing and took her mask out and I had to ask her to put it back on. At one point wax was tooo hot and I told her that it is way too hot but she still kept going. I still feel the pain. It was just rude and bad behavior over all. When she was threading my eyebrows, she cut me and did not apologize and didn't even finish because she was rushing. When she was waxing my under arms, she did not wear gloves did not prep the site for wax and kept using the exact same strip to remove hair. Not once did she change the strip. I would give them 0 stars if I could.I went there 2 days back to get makeup,hair and saree draping done for a wedding in Houston.They took $50 advance for the appointment. The girl who came to do makeup put a concealer and foundation which made me look much darker and I had to wipe it off and do the makeup all by myself. They then demanded that I pay $70 for the makeup for the "time spent" even though she left me and started attending other customers while I applied my make up. Same with the saree. All she did was handed me safety pins while I struggled and draped it myself. They demanded $35 without even touching my saree!!. When I refused to pay that much they locked the door and trapped me inside. They called the owner who was as nasty as the rest of them. I had driven all the way from Dallas for this wedding and here I was locked in their salon. I told them I would call the police and only then (after paying $100 for basically doing "nothing" except curling my hair),they opened the door and let me go.They probably got scared that if I called the police the owner would go to jail for hiring illegals.Stay away from these thieves.They hire illegal immigrants from Pakistan, with ZERO skills who proclaim themselves as "Makeup artist".Disgusting human beings, specially the owner. Came here once to get my brows done and I have to say I like the attentive staff who greets us as we come in. The prices are decent and clearly stated on their wall, where listed services are offered. Salon is very clean and well presented. My eyebrows were a tad bit off, but nothing I can't fix with a little brow powder. The service was quick and painless, and cooling gel is offered at the end of brow service. This place used to be great a few years ago. Now the staff has changed and the customer service is horrible. They literally blame their customers for their own mistake. The past two times I've been there, the ladies have lied to me, by raising the price halfway while I was getting a facial or hair color. Also they had a sign saying (10% discount for students ) which they refused to give for no reason. I had also gotten my hair colored here before and my hair turned out a different color than I had asked for. When I called the next day about fixing it, I was told that it was too late and you can't change hair to a lighter color and that it was my fault for not choosing the right color. They kept their salon open an extra hour to finish everything for us. Their services are so professional and each one of them went above and beyond just for us. I had my eyebrows done by Zara today and she is amazing. I have very rounded, medium in width but short in length eyebrows that have no edge to them. Think of them like cresent moons. I've struggled with these things for years and have always wanted an arch and length while keeping the width. After speaking to her for less than 5 minutes about what I wanted, she transformed my eyebrows from round to arched! I am so glad I don't have to drive all the way down to Hillcroft anymore to get a good treading job. I like to use Naheed for my eyebrows and upper lip, but I've had several of the girls do it there and have not had a bad job yet. The girl who is second chair on the right was who I had last time and she did a great job, I really should have gotten her name so that when Naheed isn't there, I can use her instead. I went in to have my arms waxed and was shocked that they used a roller contraption to apply the wax. What happened to the old fashion one Popsicle stick per application? I feel like 10 Popsicle sticks thrown in the trash is much cheaper and more sanitary than using a roller/squeeze bottle to apply wax. Plus, as the wax wasn't warm enough, it felt like the roller was tearing out the peach fuzz of my arm as the wax was applied. I had a bruise on my arm after this one... I went to the one on Hwy 6 and the lady Shilpa did an okay job on threading my eyebrow until I get home and find out she totally erased the first half of my left eyebrow! So i go back two weeks later to the same "SHILPA" and she points out "the first part of your eyebrow is gone" like its my fault are something, so now I have to draw that part until my eyebrow grows back. ladies beware of the fry road location. the lady is not licensed. she glued my top and bottom lashes together - i could have lost my sight. there was so much glue on my lashes that i was in pain. they did refund my money but also promised to have another location do them for me but did not come thru on their promise. the owner flat out lied. i have contacted the state board and an attorney but i want all you ladies to be careful as not everyone knows how to do lash extensions and this was a costly mistake that could have had me blind in the end. read more

I usually go to Sonia who is really quick and does a great job with my eyebrows. I highly recommend Sonia. She is very professional and does a great job of shaping eye brows. If I had to only rank Sonia, I would give Aisha's five stars. She's awesome. Unfortunately, this is not the case as I learned that not all threaders are created equal. On one previous visit, I went in and Sonia had just left for the day. I decided since my brows were about to connect mid-forehead, I should get it done anyways. Wrong move. They sent me to the girl on the right in the last chair. I don't remember her name, but she's the last one right next to where Sonia's station is. When she handed me the mirror to inspect the work, she quickly went up to write the ticket and disappeared in the back. I didn't even get a chance to ask for someone to correct my funky brows. I left the salon a bit disgruntled and when my husband saw me, I didn't have to say anything. He said I reminded him of a cartoon character with uneven brows. You know, the character that is trying to raise an eyebrow. I had one thick brow and one thin brow. Not very attractive. I had to go home and even them out myself. I ended up with two thin brows that made me look mad. If I knew that was going to happen, I could have stayed home and shaved them off to get the same effect. I went back to Aisha's on Saturday and thankfully, Sonia was working. She cleaned up my brows and I even had her thread my upper lip. I like to ask her to thread my upper lip because she doesn't remind me that I have a mustache growing. On another occasion, I visited a girl named Ashmita. She actually does decent brow work, but she always reminds me that she should do my mustache as well. I personally, don't like to be reminded of this. If it was left to me I would not even give them this star. I called ahead to make an appointment and I specifically asked if they WAX eyebrows. (Dislike threading a lot). The lady said YES etc. When I arrived she showed me towards a chair which I found strange because it had no head rest. I knew something was wrong when she didn't even ask me what I wanted. She coaxes me into trying threading but it felt like a knife slicing into my forehead. I adamantly told her to "Please stop!" She said okay and then proceeded to wax. Then artistically like Picasso she came back with the thread again. (Who does that???) Just say that this establishment does not wax eyebrows. When she was finished she said "Well I can't arch your eyebrows because I can only do it with threading." I wish I could take a picture right now and attached it to this review cause words cannot describe, my husband took one look at me and instantly fought the urge to laugh but to no avail he laughed all the way home, last night and even as I write this.
