Mary Brown's - Mary Brown's chicken sandwich. Currently $4.99 Monday special.

If you enjoy Popeye's chicken sandwich, then you're going to LOVE Mary Brown's chicken sandwich…read more It's hands-down my favourite chicken sandwich right now. The chicken they use is perfectly cooked and moist and the batter is so light and crispy. They even put a pickle slice on the top of the bun like it's a crown (or more like a tiara). Speaking of the bun, MB also gets this right with their soft and cushiony bun that melts in your mouth with the succulent chicken. Honestly, this is one of the best burger buns ive had in a while! I bought a couple of their chicken sandwiches for $4.99 each as their Monday special. Another customer was mentioning how their special used to be $3.99. That's inflation for ya. I also tried their 2 piece combo with potato wedges (on a different day. I'm not a pig). The 2 piece was really tasty however not as mind blowing as their chicken sandwich IMO. Their wedges are actually amazing with their high amounts of powder seasoning. It's like the Doritos of wedges when it comes to more seasoning. The insides were potatoey which was a nice contrast when chewed with the crispy flavourful exterior. This is a fairly new location. I'm surprised no one reviewed them yet. They're located in the Longo's plaza, across the street from McDonalds.

We stopped…read moreby around 5:45 p.m. as a group of four and were actually the first dine-in guests of the evening, though the kitchen was already busy preparing a takeout order. We were greeted immediately and seated at a table that was already set with cutlery and napkins, then offered both tea and water. They provide one physical menu per table, but there are also QR codes if you prefer viewing the menu digitally. Just a heads-up that the QR code is for browsing only, not online ordering. We ended up ordering the King Katsu, Rose Tteokbokki, Eggplant Dolsot, and a coffee. The King Katsu was absolutely massive, yet pounded thin enough to stay tender, with a beautifully light and flaky crust. The Rose Tteokbokki had the perfect level of spice balanced by a distinct sweetness. I would have loved to add cheese, but the $5.50 surcharge felt difficult to justify. The Eggplant Dolsot was another enjoyable dish, and the $3 coffee surprisingly reminded me of dalgona coffee, being bold, creamy, and quite sweet, like a dessert to finish off the meal. The restaurant itself has a unique, modern aesthetic that makes the space feel warm and inviting. The staff were friendly throughout our visit and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. As a nice bonus, they offer a 5% discount when paying with cash. Overall, the prices are on the higher end for Korean food, but the generous portions, quality dishes, and pleasant dining experience made it an enjoyable visit.

The fries come in different in different colours , with each representing a different flavour. My personal flavour were the yellow and orange colour chicken fries which was turmeric and tomato flavour. The spice level we picked was light and it was for perfect for me - someone who can't really handle much spice The thing I love the most about these chicken fries is it had just the right amount seasoning and crunch too it . Didn't feel really oily either. Price is a tad steep $ 10.05 for fries but since it's actually chicken , it seemed ok . I will go back to buy the actual chicken cup as that seems like a better value and I'll get to pick my fav flavour !

The colouring on the chicken fries is supposed to be natural from ground up ingredient powders. I'm not sure if the owner is taiwanese or mainlander but he was really friendly. Didn't have any tissues and also no washroom at inside this unit, but he went to his CAR and grabbed me some wet naps to clean my hands which was really kind of him. The cutlet itself was breaded well, crispy and the chicken was juicy. The price is kinda steep so if it would've been a lil cheaper I'd award 5 stars. I'm keen to try some chicken fries with cuttlefish or tomato powder on the batter next time. It's a relatively chill spot and I don't think it's as well known as it's competitors, Monga or Hot Star, but it holds its own imo.
