This is the most unfriendly place I've ever been other than divorce court. There wer 3 guys playing on their phones when I walked in. One of them said if you're here to sell or trade go to the back window. They didn't tell me that the owner was out to lunch. 20 minutes later I was told he'll be back shortly. I had about $700.00 retail value and $400 trade vale. I was offered $240 in trade and $180 if I sold. I knew I would take a beating but not that bad. The sales staff just pointed when I asked for revolvers. No words, no suggestions on overpriced guns. I would never buy from this place nor recommend it. read more

I went in to see what they would offer me for my pistol, knowing that it probably wouldn't be a lot but just wanted to get a quote. It took the older man behind the desk 20 minutes to even notice I was there then gets out of his chair with so much attitude. I came into your store today to pickup a pistol purchased through Guns.com and delivered to your business. The pistol was received by Ryan Friday morning. I never received notification from your store of it's arrival. I found out it was there by shipper email stating it was delivered. When I came in this afternoon to pick the pistol up, I was told by your employee that you sold this gun in your store. I said that it was not in your store. He then told me I was taking away from 8 families by not ordering it through your store. He mentioned it several times during the paperwork process. It was a very uncomfortable. Now that I've lived in AZ for a while, I have to correct my review. This is a big gun store for AZ, not small. Most of the gun stores here are tiny because FFLs are so common. Convenient local gun shop that needs some major remodeling and reorganizing, but the place has character (?). Some things you can find, but a lot of their accessories are in piles or in boxes, or displayed haphazardly. Prices are pretty good on most things, but service is iffy. You can't tell the employees from the customers and if they're busy it's sometimes hard to get their attention. I can't believe how bad this place has gotten. My nephew and I stopped in this morning to purchase a handgun and an AR. Serious money. There were two customers and several sales people there. The gun case was almost empty. We commented that there were slim pickings. The salesperson said "yep" and just walked away. We stood there for about five more minutes, completely ignored. We finally gave up and went to another gun shop that was fully stocked with great customer service. We spent over $1,500. PS. This is the only gun store I have ever been in that prohibits the carrying of loaded firearms. No wonder they have no inventory or customers. read more

This little place is old school but helpful. The selection isn't bad and practice ammo is pretty cheap. The selection of ammo needs a little help. Excellent selection of AR/AKs. I usually buy my guns online but recently purchased a couple from AJI. The prices were reasonable for firearms, but kinda pricey for some of the accessories. The one thing that was kinda cool is they have many old school vintage guns for sale . Some very historical and old west looking. Buy at your own risk kinda thing, but really cool. They have a pretty knowledgeable staff. They did tease me a bit about being a woman and also about maybe having a bad background check which turned out fine. Went to AJI GUNS on 11/26/21. My first visit to a gun store in my life. My son is turning 21 next week and has been asking for a gun for several years now. My girlfriend, who carries a small pistol at all times, and her husband, who also has many guns, both highly recommended this place to us. They both said it was the only place they buy their firearms and accessories and said it was the perfect place to go, especially for first time gun shoppers. We went in the day after Thanksgiving and it was very busy. There were a lot of employees working. Many of the Yelp reviewers described the employees as being rude and unfriendly. Oddly, my first impression was that the employees were hyper-alert and very aware of the customers and all foot traffic walking around the store. Not growing up around guns and being unfamiliar and uncomfortable with guns my whole life, I was concerned about being in a store surrounded by guns and bullets etc. I actually very much appreciated the serious disposition exuded from all the employees. It's a GUN STORE in the middle of AJ no-less. If you want the warm and fuzzies go home and watch a Hallmark Christmas Movie. I wasn't expecting a cheery, Rose -faced, sweet-filled comforting welcome upon entering. Honestly, I would've felt less safe if that would have been the case. To quickly summarize our overall experience, We received friendly, knowledgeable and professional service from the girl that was working on this day. Every employee was actively engaged at some level with all of the customers. The background check was done within minutes and we were also given a card along with our receipt for a complimentary session at a local shooting range. (Which my son LOVED). I was also shown several small pistols that I am interested in getting for myself for running. I loved the old school, conservative vibe of this place and the staff is far more invested and knowledgeable on their products than any employee at a larger, big box business. read more

This is stemming from them from trying to STEAL a gun I tried to purchase for my wife. I was not able to acquire the gun due to a unforseen issue in my youth. In their defense, the gun has been there for a little over a year, while I try to deal with WASHINGTON STATE. But their rep at the time said when I discovered the issue that there was no time limit on resolving those issues. Now I am being told that they only are obligated for 60 days or they can TAKE the firearm. Now does that seem reseable??? read more

Thursday 6/10/21 approx 5pm bought a Sig p320x compact from some husky middle aged mad in a purple shirt with a salt and pepper beard. I called twice within an hour, spoke with a nice gal who told me they had the gun I wanted. Called back ten minutes later and had a follow up question and spoke with a gentleman who was fairly pleasant and told him we'd be in. I asked the guy mentioned above for the pistol, and he quickly said, "no, we don't have one." So I said ok, because I just called and...he then interrupted me and got up off his stool and went right to it. I asked how many mags it came with..."I don't know." Filled out background and he told us to "go on and I'll call you back up." Apparently he didn't want us hanging around him for the ten minutes it took. Asked for hollow points..."No!" Rang our card, handed us the pistol and receipt, that was it. No come again, thanks for your business, just the worst visit to an Arizona gun store I've ever had, and I've been to a lot. I will NEVER visit this store again and anyone who ever mentions buying a gun I'll be telling them this story.
