I was so hungry when I arrived here for dinner and I had high hopes. We waited about 20 mins to be seated and when we were taken to our table, the host left nothing but menus. That was an issue later. The server was very friendly but clearly in the weeds and it was a challenge to get some of the things we needed to eat. She did make a lot of helpful menu suggestions and everything we ordered came out right. However, we had multiple issues. 1) You can't eat sushi without chopsticks, soy sauce bowls, and plates to put it on. They brought 3 different things we ordered to the table before we were able to get utensils. Also, the sushi is HUGE. This is more of a personal preference and not an issue but it's hard to eat some of it because of the shear size and you will get sick of it all very fast. I'm used to significantly smaller rolls and pieces at an all you can eat establishment. It's hard to try a lot of the rolls when they are so big. You can't finish them and then you will be charged for what you don't eat. The biggest issue I had with this evening was that 2 rolls were delivered to our table that we didn't order. We didn't know what they weren't ours and we put a few pieces of other rolls on the plate with it to get some plates off the table. The person who delivered the rolls to the table suddenly came back and said "those weren't for your table." We looked at him a little confused and said okay, we put some of our rolls on this plate. He then asked us to remove them. We said "ok but you can't take this to another table now." He said I know. And then I watched him take the 2 plates of sushi around to the other side of the restaurant and deliver them to another table. I sat there stunned thinking I am not sure that I want to eat anything that arrives at my table at this point. Of course I would be charged for anything we didn't eat, so I felt very stuck. At $28.95 per person, I had very high hopes that I would be happy when I left and I was not. I choked down huge pieces of sushi that I wasn't sure where they had been prior to sitting on my table so that I wouldn't be billed additionally. I don't know where to begin. We have eaten here several times and always have enjoyed the cost atmosphere and the amazing taste of food. But apparently this place has new ownership and change the menu to this buffet style all you can eat for 30.00 a person and a extra 3.95 for a drink. We tried the rainbow roll it was decent and a volcano roll it was horid. I also got steak hibachi asked for medium rare and got a completely over done steak that had no taste or seasoning. The rice was mush and the vegetables where pretty non existent. They have a disclaimer that you can order what ever you want but any food left on plate would be additional charge. We tried the gyoza it was different recipe and tasteless. Also spring rolls that were mushy in the middle. I can't express howuch we use to love this place and now it's absolutely garbage. It was graphically pleasing, easy to read, the food looked delicious and made us both want to come again because of how many good choices there were. Our second visit was today, ready to order my favorites, come to find out they didn't have anything that I get at every standard sushi place. The menu is simplistic now, including French fries and nuggets. NO PRICES. But one. "ALL YOU CAN EAT $28" but you have 90 minutes to eat it, you have to finish your food or it's up to management discretion how much food leftover what they'll charge you. When this place first had its grand reopening I couldn't find a yelp page for them. I didn't have the best experience but the food was pretty good for my husband and I for the only AYCE sushi we could find in Fayetteville. We went two more times and the service was a bit better and the food was still good enough for us to want to go here whenever we were craving sushi. However, I think the last time we went we didn't have the best experience and the food quality seemed to diminish. First, it was a weekend and looked like the restaurant wasn't as busy as we remembered it being during the first couple months of grand reopening. We figured maybe it was just the hour (late lunch hour) that might be the reason. Then the food seemed so bland to us. The quality was not there. If the food isn't good then we definitely have no reason to return. Lastly the waitress service wasn't great either and mind you it wasn't busy at all. She was the older white woman who tries to be personable and crack jokes. She would visit the other tables next to us and I would sit there looking at her hoping we will have eye contact so I could ask for the check but she would always turn around or look away. It took a while for us to get our check. I actually had to get someone else's attention to ask for it, so obviously they had to ask her. If I could give this place no stars, I would. My boyfriend and I went in for lunch yesterday and could not have been more disappointed. I felt so bad for our waitress that she has to work there. First off the sushi rolls loom ok but their was almost no one in the restaurant but yes and it took 20 mins to get two rolls one for me one for my boyfriend and they came out on the same plate. You aren't allowed to leave food behind or the manager charges you extra for waste. At $28.00 a person I ordered one roll REALLY I can't leave your shitty food behind without you charging me extra! My boyfriend ordered a drink that took 20 mins to get also because the manager had to make it and she was busy doing other things (talking to an employee sitting at a table) so our waitress had to keep apologizing that it wasn't done yet. We went for the first time expecting a new and interesting experience, but we were left disappointed. The service was good, but the food was bland. I ordered the hibachi shrimp with a ginger salad. The salad was very wet and the ginger dressing was only barely ginger. The sauce used on the shrimp was overly sweet. My husband ordered the teriyaki chicken and the chicken was so bland. Barely a drizzle of teriyaki sauce on white, bare strips of chicken breast. I was also really underwhelmed with the ambiance as well. The landscaping outside was out of control with all sorts of plants growing up out of cracks in the sidewalk and parking lot and weeds totally taking over the outside.
