It's a build a bowl Asian place across from the hospital. I ordered on my phone, but this didn't help a ton. I got a message saying it was done before I arrived, but they hadn't really finished; I had to wait for all of the toppings and sauces to be put on. I guess this makes for a fresher taste and avoids any misunderstandings, but my desire was to be in and out quickly. I wasn't enamored with most of their preset bowls, but they give a nice customization option to let you build your own. I ended up with a salad bowl with tofu and a bunch of other things. The option to have quinoa was kind of cool and the tofu was tastily seared. The greens weren't wildly impressive in quantity or quality, and the other toppings were hit or miss; the carrots were kind of soft and overcooked for me and the sauce made things too soggy. Just moved to town 2 days and we were looking for some new go-to's. This placed had great reviews. For good reason. They are delicious and quick. Also, they are doing their part for Covid by cleaning regularly and have up barriers at the register. Both my daughter and I each had the shrimp steak lunch bowl and spring rolls. It was cooked well. Good food, but bad service. I guess the new management here hasn't figured things out. It seems they haven't figured out how to run a two sided restaurant doing poki bowls and traditional chinease meals. The ordering process is awkward. You need to order the meal and tell them everything you want on it, then someone in the back prepares the cooked portion, then brings it to the front of the restraunt to put on the cold vegies and toppings. It didn't flow well and the staff was back and forth trying to figure out how to enter in the meal to their system. Not to mention, they dont speak english well, so it took several minutes for them to get my order in. To top it off they got my order wrong and I got all vegies instead of meat and vegies . It was a togo meal so I didn't see the mistake until I got back to the hotel. My wife's meal was good and mine tasted good, but no meat . So tonight I ordered Salmon hibachi with fried rice for pickup. Over the phone I asked about extra salmon and the cost. I was told there would be a side order of salmon for $6 extra. I said that was fine. I also ordered a shrimp egg roll and was told the cost is 22.90. I get there and pick up my order and pay and see I only have a small box and a large box. I open the small box and it's my egg roll and then the second box is my main order. And I asked about my side order of salmon. Then I was told it was mixed in with my food. My issue is that this looks like a regular amount of salmon that I get with a regular order. The only difference I see is that I have extra vegetables and this is what I explain to the guy. So who goes in the back and comes back and tells me they didn't put my side order on the side but instead just placed it with the rest of my food and he doesn't know how many pieces of salmon comes with a regular order or a side order. The salmon hibachi costs 12.95. I don't feel like I got an extra $6 of salmon. And I explain that multiple times. And I was just repeatedly that they just placed it altogether and they don't know how many pieces. I was asked to count the pieces it there in total was 13. The food always tastes good. My go-to since they've changed the menu has been lemon pepper wings with shrimp fried rice. I called in my order and went there on my lunch break today and the wings were waaaaay over fried and tasted like they were fried in old oil. The rice had a strange taste to it and the shrimp had a weird texture, like they were old. After taking this pic, I threw the plate away, and I just hope I don't get sick from what I did eat.
