Once again, on another day, after another game, we ventured over to GB and had a yet another amazing meal, tread lightly if you had a 2+ hour drive afterwards this place can give you the itis(IYKYK)! The most authentic Japanese ramen I've had in Fayetteville. A bit on the pricey side and the area the restaurant located is kinda sketchy. I've been to here a good amount of time and I've seen the cop with all their lights on surrounding the apartment complex across the street more times than I could count. Gohan Bistro has tasty food! My friend ordered the gyoza (dumplings) and I dipped mine in soy sauce that some green onions in it. It was lightly fried and very good. I ordered the sesame chicken poke bowl with rice (pictured) and it had slices of avocado and corn with some garnish in it. I'm not a ramen connoisseur though I have eaten a variety of these soups from NY down the east coast to FL and I will say, i am not a fan of their ramen. It was my first time here and i just decided to try a random, but simple flavor. The broth tasted different;can't put my finger on it.... I can say the food was fresh because they cook it in the front. I just wasn't a fan of the broth. BUT, I am willing to come back in and try something different. Also, I got the melon milk tea and it was soooo sweet, it tasted like a LAFFY TAFFY on 10! I'm a sugar addict so I love anything extra sweet but there was no way anyone could drink this. I ended up drinking as much as I could and tossing the rest. I took my dinner to go but I wish they would separate the ingredients so everything doesn't swell on the ride home (I only drove about 7 minutes and everything was mushy). I've heard about this place for years for being so good.. so today we decided to finally check it out. I would probably say this was the worst Tonkotsu Ramen I have ever had. No real flavor at all unless you count salt as a flavor. My partner had the Salmon Don with old browned avocado on top and was not impressed by it at all. We also shared the Seared Tuna Roll. It was nothing special. The wasabi was the weakest wasabi I have ever been had. The service was okay not great just okay. Our server gave us just weird energy as if we did something. The restaurant looked okay but nothing fancy. I think it would have been nice to have a sign saying please wait to be seated or something like that. We felt a little awkward when we first walked in and not sure if we order at the counter first or what. And honestly over all way over priced. read more

I would definitely recommend to try experimenting with different toppings on different a types of ramen to find one that suits your taste. Great new restaurant in Fayetteville! Their ramen is very flavorful, they have two flavors, Miso Spicy and Paitan (sp?). Then they have some special bowls that add things like pork belly and chicken. I tried the spicy pork belly ramen, it had corn, sprouts, fresh garlic, siracha and half a Soya egg. So good. We also tried a sushi burrito, excellent choice with Tuna and much larger than other sushi burritos... Probably half the size of Chipotle. I don't recommend the honey dew bubble tea. Customer service was fair.... My husband I met here for dinner and they weren't busy. We ordered our food and we waited 30 mins. After waiting and not hearing from our server, we drew her attention and asked her how much longer would it be. She stated that they are having issues in the kitchen and she will check up on our ramen. She came back approximately 3 min later to say that it would be a little longer, and right after she said that our food was ready. Once we got our food, we only saw her one more time after to see how we were doing. We needed refills and we didn't see her around. She was friendly and courteous however the lack of communication with the kitchen is what through her off with how long our food would take.
