The landscaping included a stunning tree canopy -- planted in 2005 -- that gave us a lot of privacy despite our location in a highly urban area. The garden was a magical oasis and one of the features that sold us on the house. My husband thought the trees needed trimming, and called in Jesse (I was out of town) given our positive experiences. In one day, Jesse managed to destroy the canopy and butcher a number of trees. In the attached photo, the "toothpicks" you see behind the garage used to shield us from the tall building 1/4 mile away. No more. My husband had thought Jesse would trim the trees to match the adjacent hedge. Instead, he took off almost all the foliage. I'm not sure the trees will survive, and if they do grow again, what will they look like? I've had many trees trimmed over the years, including by the city arborists, and pruned trees typically look healthier. I've never before encountered a tree trimmer who simply lopped off the top half of trees and called it a day. If you need a tree or trees removed, sure, Jesse will do the job. But tree trimming/pruning? You can find someone who's actually competent.
