He gave the same excuse to my neighbor who was also using him on a yearly basis. When you need someone to work on your generator, rest assured if you call Joe Prince, nobody will answer the phone. If he does call you back, guaranteed it will be with an attitude like everything is your fault.....I highly DO NOT recommend him. The technician that showed up was fantastic- cleaned my unit inside and out (old company never did), performed a full service and transfer test. He showed me how to manually transfer also (I had never learned) and put me on their dealer fleet monitoring. They have 24/7 emergency service and the calls go to an actual employee - not an answering service. The owner is a local firefighter in town also- the commitment to their local community evident.
