First she refused delivery to church (lazy and unfair for flowers I already paid for not to be able to be transported to the church so I could use them) THEN refused delivery of bridal/ bridesmaid bouquets or boutonnières to the house, which is annoying to a stressed out bride. A friend of my fiancé ended up picking up the bouquets and boutonnières. As soon as he walked in, I see that the bridesmaid bouquets are not pink roses and white hydrangeas like I asked for, but just ivory roses to match my bridal bouquet. When I complained about it, Hala said I wanted ivory and she had written so on my invoice. When I looked at the photo she sent me, I saw that "ivory" was scribbled over the word "pink". I also saw that my mother Mary bouquet for church wasn't included. That's two things she didn't do for church, that were very important to me. My bouquet looked old. I was embarrassed to take photos with it. I canceled my bouquet preservation because I was not happy with it. Three people who took flowers home told me the flowers were already wilting the next day. I didn't get photos of it, I was too upset My head table and hall entrance was not as full of greenery as I asked for and had fake orchids in between. When I complained about it, Hala said I AGREED to have FAKE FLOWERS on my head table! What bride would agree to have fake flowers? It looks like she wrote it in tiny letters on the invoice after she sent it to me. On my family head tables, Hala said we would do a long table length arrangement. She did the same size as the rest of the hall and filled it with candles. When I complained about it, Hala said that is what I asked for All in all, when I look at photos, the hall looks nice, but it wasn't the big beautiful photos I showed her and when I was told that it was something else I asked for, I was very offended. I got a great price but I soon realized that I got what I paid for. I felt even worse after speaking with her, since she didn't take credit for anything and basically blamed it on me. I asked for a picture before it was sent out since I was out of town and not attending the funeral. I got the picture and noticed one of my daughters names was spelled incorrectly on the card. She said it was already delivered and I requested it be corrected and suggested for her to call the funeral director to replace the card. She sent a new card so that made me satisfied. I have heard the arrangement received many compliments. The attached paper card looks cheap and should be more elegant and sophisticated. It does not match the beauty of the rest of the arrangement. We told him it was our first time and he literally walked us through step by step by step on what we need and what is going to happen. She immediately wrote down "white rose corsage w/ silver" without letting me finish or discuss options. She rushed ahead to the bouquet before I could clarify anything. Hoping to circle back to the corsage once she seen the bouquet inspiration photos I had so both would coordinate. When I showed her the reference photo, she responded, "That has lilies. I am NOT ordering them for this." Each time I tried to speak, she cut me off or talked over me. When I reiterated that I wanted something similar to the photo, she put her pen down, looked at me, and said, "You don't want that. You know that bouquet is over $50 alone," in a tone that felt unnecessarily condescending. Instead of asking out budget she just talked down to us and insulted us. Within just a few minutes, she refused to consider the flowers I requested, dismissed my preferences, and made comments that came across as rude and judgmental. I ultimately walked out mid‑conversation because it was clear she had no interest in working with me. Instead of insulting someone about the cost of a bouquet, perhaps ask their budget next time. As I walked out she told my husband "most people don't want to pay that" justifying what she assumed was expensive for us. We then left and went a few blocks down the street and easily ordered the corsage, bouquet, fifteen centerpieces, and two display arrangements for the graduation party with no issues at all. Westland Florist lost out on several hundred dollars in business due to this designer's unprofessional and condescending behavior. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location for anyone looking to order custom floral arrangements. If you want basic grocery store looking pre made arrangements you'll be fine, but I think there may be limitations from what this designer can actually do When you want customized items.
