towing for disabled vehicle My truck was disabled last night on a country road. AAA left us high and dry, saying they couldn't find a tow company. I called AK Towing around 1030 last night and he showed up as soon as he could. He also offered to call AAA and arrange the tow through them so I didn't have to pay the hundreds of dollars out of pocket to pay up front for the tow, which really helps financially as things are tight for everyone right now. While driving out to meet him (the ordeal with AAA lasted about 4hrs, so we had returned home), I passed a woman walking on a remote stretch who had hit a deer. I gave her a ride and he stayed after my tow to help her out too. When I left, it was around midnight. It was a late night for a hard worker and a true gentleman. Thank you. read more

This company is amazing, my car had a tire blowout on the highway and it was this towing company that was dispatched to help. They made sure my car was taken care of so that I could get home safely. Funny enough one of my other tires got a flat about a month or so later and needed to be towed to the auto shop and it was the same company and driver as before. He was very nice and we had a laugh about the whole thing. I would highly recommend this company for anyone in need. read more

I'm a connoseur of towing companies since i recently purchased my 2003 Ford FucUs. Kevin was the lucky tow truck operator number six to bring my broken down ride to a place safe and capable of getting me back on the road. Oddly enough, it was over 100 miles by one tenth of a mile, so instead of charging be like he was supposed to per AAA he politely asked if i could leave him a review. I'm a student at WSU and my car was parallel parked pretty closely between two others cars on a small side street. On top of that there had been two feet of snow barricading my car in. I was worried the car wouldn't be able to get towed but Kevin helped push my car into a position where he could tow it. The whole process of him trying to get my car into a towable position took 20 minutes because my car was in such an awkward spot. Kevin was so nice and helpful, he worked so hard to get my car towed. When I offered him a tip he refused to take it, definitely the nicest and most helpful tow truck driver you'll ever meet. On top of that one week later I needed another tow and he was the one who helped me again. I hope you never need a tow in Pullman but if you do he's definitely the one to go to. read more

I discovered a flat tire on my motorcycle at around noon on a Saturday. It was supposed to be my last day on the road and I had 300 miles more to go. Fortunately I had cell service, which hadn't been the case for the previous five days. AAA hooked me up with AK. I was in a crunch, because the place I wanted to be towed to was closing at 2. The AK guy got there fast and had all the right gear to get me onto his tilt bed truck and deliver me to a shop. Great service, safe transport, and no damage to the vehicle. read more

AK Towing was dispatched by my insurance company to help me get my car out of a ditch last weekend. When he arrived, without even seeing where my car was, he already said he would not be able to help me. After we convinced him to go take a look at the actual situation, he walked part way up the road and said he couldn't drive on the mud. Fine. He told us to call and he would come back later in the week if the ground hardened or froze. We tried talking with him to ask like what do people do in this situation? Where my car was stuck was an hour and a half from home. Luckily- our friend lives near the incident. We called our insurance and AK back on Tuesday or Wednesday, because our friend let us know the ground was frozen. AK recommended waiting until the following morning so that the sun won't be out yet. We agreed. I even spoke to AK myself to make sure this was happening at 5:30 AM for sure the following day. He said yes. The insurance said yes. Our friend went that following day at 5:30 AM, she was actually there at 5:15 AM. Keep in mind, this is the Palouse area, you can see everything. She waited and waited and nobody came to tow. We called AK at about 6 AM and he informed us he waited from 5-5:30 and nobody was there. He reported he wouldn't be helping us that day as he was busy and if we wanted him to come back we could schedule the next morning. So, even though we don't believe that he actually showed up and waited, we tried to reschedule. When our insurance company tried to schedule with them, he yelled at the agent and told her he would not be helping us. My wife called him to ask why, and he reported it being because he didn't want to damage our car. He had not one time ever told us that this was even a thought in his mind, and this happened after our insurance company reversed the payment to him (since he had not helped us). I just really want to save the women out there from dealing with the clear misogyny of this individual. When he spoke to us or our friend, he did everything possible to try and make us feel less than him and stupid. If I was able to do zero stars on here- believe me, I would. And by the way- a Cheney, WA (an hour and a half away from my car) tow company ended up coming out and getting the job done PERFECTLY in the middle of the day. :) read more
