I would strongly caution anyone considering Heritage Auto Repair. We brought in our 2018 Nissan Murano because of a screeching noise. Heritage diagnosed the problem as a serpentine belt and tensioner and charged us over $560 to replace them. The very next morning the exact same noise returned. When we contacted them again and sent a video, they told us it was actually a wheel bearing issue and quoted another $1,150 for repairs. At this point we lost confidence and sought another opinion. A different shop diagnosed the actual problem immediately: the transfer case, which explained the noise and the acceleration issues. So to summarize: * Heritage charged us $560 for a repair that did not fix the problem * They then misdiagnosed the issue again as wheel bearings * The real issue was the transfer case, which they completely missed What is most concerning is that they were prepared to perform another $1,150 repair that would not have solved the problem either. Good mechanics diagnose problems before charging customers for unnecessary work. This experience felt like guessing at repairs while the customer pays the bill. I would recommend anyone experiencing drivetrain or noise issues get a second opinion before authorizing repairs here. read more

Heritage is exactly what I needed. Before moving to Pullman, I was told I needed new tires. Heritage were extremely helpful. I was driving to the Tricities and they were kind enough to explain I needed to either replace my tires or rent a car. It was not safe to drive. Thought I'd hop on here and give a little more detailed review. I brought my 2016 Volkswagen in because my exhaust came detached. Gordon did all the work and said he just had to fix a "broken bolt". I drove home and my check engine light turns on. They removed my O2 censors, and welded and other catalytic converters onto my exhaust... and it's facing the opposite direction. Every time I called them and asked they said they didn't do that and it wasn't them. I took the car to an actual dealership and they said that heritage auto repair screwed me over and my car as well. They said that it looks like they have no clue what mechanic was doing to my exhaust. He even welded on an exhaust clamp instead of bolting it. So I can't remove it without cutting. I WOULD NOT use this place if your life dependeds on it. They will ruin your car and cost you $7000 to fix it. Don't make the mistake I did. read more

Came here about a year ago, when my muffler fell off my car due to rust. These guys were extremely friendly and helpful, and had my car in perfect shape and back to me the next day bright and early! Pretty cheap repair too. I would easily recommend them, just give them a call and see if they can help out. They seem like a place with lots of experience. read more

The gentleman at the front, I believe his name is Gordon, very friendly and knowledgeable. My AC Unit wasn't working nor the windows would rolled down when outside temperature always nearly 100 degree. I called multiple places for estimate and neither some only give me an estimate if I only fix my car there or way over prize. Gordon was able to give me a estimate quickly over the phone and it was almost 400 dollars cheaper than the other place. Bonus is they fixed my window with no cost and tighten my back plate with new screws. I got new plates and went back to ask them to unscrew my old plates because I have have tools to do that. Gordon and Raymond had it done in no time. I was going to pay but he said it's ok. I feel so happy I found someone I could trust here in Pullman. Always great service with reasonable price! Best place in Pullman. I made 30 calls from Pullman to Moscow,ID and asked around for the most competitive price for a new light switch on my car (as it kept killing the battery, the lights would always stay on!). Heritage quoted me $220 fixed the wiring in the light switch and replaced the part. The total at the end came out as they said: $220 (tax and labor included). I had a slow leak in a tire. I took the car to Les Schwab and was told it was fixed. A week later, the tire was low again. I went to Heritage and they pulled a nail out of the tire and replaced the valve stem. Problem solved. If you grew up in the NW, you probably thought LSchwab was the best and had a hard time giving up that idea. Sorry. Heritage is great: friendly and honest. read more

These guys are so awesome that I just made a Yelp account to write this review. They are helpful, attentive, and very understanding. I've been having issues with my Jeep since I bought it in November and they have been with me all the way. Shout out to Gordon for handling my frustration with my new lemon of a car. When I first entered this business I was frustrated at the fact that Les Schwab wanted to charge me $190 for 8 wheel and tire remounts. That will be for another review later... I was told to go to Heritage Wheel and Tires by a friend of mine and I am glad I took his advice. Do not take this business at face value. The building is pretty old and does not look like much but the people inside are incredibly friendly and helpful. They also completed my tire and wheel swap needs for $130. It took a while because I was a walk in but the money I saved was well worth it. Plus I always enjoyed smaller businesses anyway. While my son was at graduate school at WSU he always had his car serviced at Heritage. The service he received was always first class. In most cases the actual bill was less than the estimate. Knowing he was on a tight budget my son was often made aware of issues he might have to deal with in the future so that he could budget for the repairs. I am so proud to give these guys 5 stars. I'd give more if I could! I am so skeptical of any repair shop- especially since I'm a lady and I'm used to my dad doing all of my vehicle repairs. Well, Deny's Auto in Moscow (whom I also love), recommended Heritage to me to work on our old diesel Ford, and to get new tires for my 4runner. Not only did he do an excellent job on our Ford, he helped me pick great tires for my 4 runner. The service was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and the whole transaction left me feeling like I could trust a mechanic again. Well, we bought our third car in, a 2009 Mercedes GL, and it needed new tires. He special ordered some in and didn't charge too much. I was shocked each time because he always beat out the competition. He was so kind when I asked him to look over the whole car to make sure it was safe, since I totally trust him now. He told me that within 6 months we'd need new suspension (which I already kind of knew). We got the new tires and suspension and drove it home. We drove to Sandpoint that weekend and on the way home the car starts making some crazy noises. I called him to get his blessing to drive it over there and he wasn't in the office because he was out HELPING ANOTHER distressed person by giving them a jump start! I told you he was a nice guy. We are located in Moscow and I just didn't want to risk driving it there without his opinion. I described the sound and he said, "I think it's just a rock in your rotor, but to be sure, I'm going to head over to your house to check." I thought- surely this is going to cost me an arm and a leg. NO! He didn't charge anything. He gets to my house, drives my car around the block with my husband and of course, the damn car doesn't make the noise at all. I felt terrible that he drove all this way but he just laughed and said he was happy to help. It's really rare that you find service like this- and let me tell you, if you need tires or car repair, you can absolutely, completely, trust Heritage. They are amazing. read more

I lived in Pullman for 5 years, but only ever went to Les Schwab since that was the only place I was familiar with. Nothing wrong with them, but I really wish I had checked out Heritage Tire sooner! I brought my car in to get my wheels balanced last weekend (hoping it would fix a vibration at highway speeds- it did!) and only cost $10 per tire which was way cheaper than the other local places I called. Brought it in, was ready quick, and the man helping me out was extremely helpful (even though I had to reschedule my appointment at the last minute). He also noticed and fixed a loose battery cable for me at no charge. I would definitely go there again! read more

These guys always take good care of my vehicles. Today I went in because half of my dashboard lights had gone out. They had to pull my dashboard in order to replace the bulbs. While they were in there, they went ahead and replaced the other three bulbs that were questionable. This saved me big $$. They could have just replaced the three that were out and I would have been back in a few months to have the others replaced. They saved me the time/trouble by taking care of all of it today. read more
