4 years later and still a great local sushi spot. I got the lunch special, Butler Roll (my go to) and the Sunset roll. Both are bursting with flavor and filling. Notice the fish to rice ratio. This is a sign of a good sushi spot. One disappointing thing is the main dining room is still not open. You cant even look inside. Seems odd read more

There is another sushi spot that has been our go to but it's always just ok. Decided to try this place for the first time and it was also just ok. Can't describe it but with Sushi you just know. Wasn't bad by any stretch but wasn't great. Got a bunch of rolls and a teriyaki dinner and a chicken bento box. Teriyaki dinner was bland, rolls in bento box were mushy and not great. Rolls were generally good but not great. Their covid protocol is very good, completely contactless pickup so that was appreciated. read more

This is our go-to place for BASIC sushi rolls. If it's your first time, it's hard to see the "Akoya" sign since it's a faded tan color, but we order here around twice a month (for the past 2 years) so it's easy. It's currently only open for takeout for the foreseeable future. We typically order the same thing: Alaska rolls or shrimp tempura rolls or ramen. Their basic rolls are consistently well-made. They give a decent amount of fish, not like some other sushi take-out places where it's mostly rice. They're quick with my order and I've never had a problem with them. I haven't ordered their special rolls yet since they're a bit pricey, but planning on doing so in the future. Tried all of the following: - Alaska rolls (always good and has tobiko sprinkled on the outside rice) - shrimp tempura (generous shrimp, large roll) - yellowtail scallion roll (standard) - sweet potato roll (good for when vegetarian friends visit) - eel cucumber roll - futomaki roll - pork katsu ramen Occasionally they give out free apps if you order enough, but I don't really like any of them. The shumi and spring rolls (and most of the other kitchen apps) are the type that you can find frozen at the Chinese grocery and steam yourself. However, I won't deduct a star for bad apps since they were free and I don't go to a sushi restaurant for their kitchen apps. read more

Great new sushi place in the area! People were very kind here, I ordered a spicy tuna roll, black widow roll, paradise roll and a few other special rolls and they were all great! I feel bad because my wife is allergic to avocado and I called back after picking up my order to complain that her 2 rolls had avocado in them which they didn't it was jalapeño so needless to say I was pissed my wife didn't do a more inclusive look at the rolls so I apologize for complaining for nothing, anyway give this place a shot if you are in the area or live here we were both very satisfied!! read more

This is my new favorite place to get sushi! Inside is small, but intimate and charming. The hostess is sweet and clearly wants to make the experience a good one. Although service was slow, it's because the sushi chef clearly takes a lot of pride in his food and presentation. I was impressed and quickly forgave having to wait a little longer than I was expecting for the more complicated rolls to come out- they were smart about it and sent things out in 'courses' rather than holding up the whole order. read more

Went there when it first opened. We ordered the Pork Katsu ramen and a sushi roll with shrimp tempura, avocado and eel. The ramen broth was very rich and delicious, the host/waitress told me that they make the broth in house. Noodles were cooked perfectly. Overall a good bowl of soup on a rainy day. The sushi roll was good, the rice a good consistency. Will have to return for the rest of the sushi menu. Give it a try! I'm glad there's another comparable sushi place in town. read more

Best option in the area when it comes to affordability and consistency. It's not the best sushi I've had but definitely solid. They offer a 10% discount when paying cash which is nice. Fish quality seems pretty good. My only minor gripe is that it seems like they use scraps to fill their rolls instead of nice solid pieces which is sometimes off putting in terms of texture. read more

The first time I got take out from there the food was great and I would have given them a very high rating. However I ordered delivery just 2 nights later. They called to clarify the address and I waited and waited. Finally I called about 45 minutes later and found out they had cancelled the order knowing they had called me once they could have called back and asked if I could pick it up meanwhile I waited over an hour and they blew me off. It was our first time ordering here and we're happy that we did. We love it! We ordered special sushi rolls, apps- steamed shumai, shrimp tempura, kani salad & ramen. My husband didn't like their ramen that much cos he said it's too salty. He wasn't sure if it was the noodles or the broth itself but otherwise it's ok. I highly recommend this restaurant. They only do Take Out or Delivery. You have to call them when you get to the parking lot to check if your order is ready. You can pay cash or credit. If you pay cash, they take 10% off of your entire bill which is awesome! read more

just wow.. I almost don't know where to start. The Chicken Ramen is out of this world, I've ordered probably about three of them within the past month and it's always so fresh and consistent. Tonight I wanted to finally try just some basic rolls (Cali & Spicy Tuna) and asked for a small side of some eel sauce to go with it - amazing!! Actually the best spicy tuna roll i've ever had, the spicy isn't over the top, it's subtle and gets the point across but is more flavor spicy than heat spicy (LOVE IT), and the avocado in the cali roll was so fresh, it made the whole thing. Boyfriend tried their wings and said they were good too, but after trying my sushi- we already decided we want to order again later in the week for lunch. Thank you for your consistency & always fresh tasty food. Stole my heart, will definitely be coming here for the sushi/ramen fix! They also have been great with curbside pickup, and safe deliveries.
