The lunch specials are very good! I love the variety of sushi rolls. Nice place to meet

We ordered take out. My husband was greeted by a very nice lady at the front desk. She asked about his day and if we ( his family) were safe and healthy. She REALLY made his day! The sushi was delicious! The noodles were spot on for my very picky 11 years old daughter. The shrimp tempura was "yummy" in our tummies. My daughter drank the entire dipping sauce. BTW, it was light and not salty at all. Overall, we enjoyed every single item including the soup and salad. My daughter kept saying " I had a good dinner" which is rare for her to comment. That tells me we nailed it or should I say Nori nailed it. Thank you for the food and experience!!

I honestly don't know how anyone couldn't give this place anything less than a 5!!! The food is outstanding, and the service by the sweetest lady at the register is nothing less than top notch! Small little quaint place that smells AMAZING as soon as you walk thru the door. From the photos on the walls, looks like it's a locals favorite, those are the best places to eat!

Always spot on and during covid no different. All protocols are followed and we felt very safe my only complaint is I wish the told us/ adjusted the price for the things they didn't offer because they said of covid. No chips before sushi and the love boat comes with dessert but because of covid was told it didn't at this time. Really? Why? Makes no sense to me at all. It's fine but please adjust the price to reflect this or put it on the menu that this is your new policy. I love this place and will definitely return but fair is fair.

Even regular rolls are well above average.

Incredibly fresh sushi, generous portions, creative rolls, and wonderful service. It doesn't get much better than Nori Sushi. A 'go-to' spot long before COVID-19, a bright spot for take-out during the pandemic, and now it is great to be back in person. We have not found anything better in north Jersey and I would put Nori against the most notable sushi restaurants in Manhattan. This place is a gem!!

Yummy sushi, reasonably priced. Perfect for a casual weeknight byob date night. We split an assortment of rolls, which were delicious and the fish was very fresh. Service was friendly and efficient. We stayed mostly with the regular rolls (yellowtail, salmon and eel) and we tried on specialty roll. I can't remember the name of the special roll, but it was spicy without being so spicy that you cannot taste the fish. The four rolls, along with a seaweed salad and a tempura ice-cream for dessert, came to about $50. Very reasonable for a three course meal. The decor is unique - lots of old artifacts including restaurant menus, nautical equipment and signs. Makes you feel like you're transported to a seaside town.

I ordered takeout for the first time on Monday. I always have heard great things about this place. The woman at the front desk was so friendly. She saw i was pregnant and let me know how carefully my food was handled. Place is cutely decorated and they have a hand sanitizing station. Food was perfectly packed. The ginger salad dressing was excellent as well as my cooked sushi rolls. Came with soup too! Cant wait to come back again and get raw sushi in the future.

Every roll was a specialty roll, and it really showed. If there's ever a question about whether their specials are worth it -- they absolutely are. We finished all five rolls (no regrets) and topped it off with green tea matcha mochi for dessert. Maybe next time we will do 6. Great picks, great balance, and everything hit the spot. It's an intimate spot with only four teppanyaki tables, and we were seated promptly. My family has been going to hibachi for over 50 years to celebrate special occasions, so we know what to expect. Unfortunately, this visit was a total letdown. As is standard, we shared a table with another party--a family with three kids. Right away, there were red flags: the kids were hyped up on candy, spilling things, and spreading out so much that I was repeatedly bumped into and forced to eat off the edge of the table. Management and servers saw this unfolding but never intervened, even though they clearly knew the family. Then came our cook, "Chef John," and things went further downhill: Complete Lack of Engagement: Wearing a baseball cap instead of proper chef attire, Chef John spent the entire meal chatting with the other family (who were clearly regulars) while ignoring us like we weren't even there. No Showmanship: Teppanyaki is about the experience-- jokes, knife tricks, tossing shrimp, flipping eggs. Chef John did nothing beyond a single, basic onion volcano. Bland & Poorly Executed Food: The food lacked real flavor--no ginger or garlic, just heavy salt, pepper, and soy sauce. The steaks were hit-or-miss (the ribeye was moist, but the filet had dry sections), and seafood wasn't cut into bite-sized pieces for chopsticks. Order Snafu & Arguing: All three of us ordered steak and shrimp combos. He served full shrimp portions to two of us, but gave the third person only an appetizer portion. When we brought up the mistake--despite him confirming orders earlier--it turned into an uncomfortable debate over whether she was "entitled" to the rest of her meal. We eventually got the missing shrimp, but the damage was done. Between the chaotic table dynamic that staff ignored, zero entertainment, bland food, and having to argue for the food we ordered, it ruined a birthday celebration. I seriously doubt that we will be returning.

The outdoor seating overlooking the lake is absolutely beautiful and easily the best part of the experience. Unfortunately, the scenery ended up being our entertainment because the service certainly wasn't. From the moment we sat down, everything moved at a glacial pace. It took forever to order drinks, food, and dessert. Somewhere along the way, our server managed to bring the wrong meals, completely forget one person's meal, and then act annoyed when we politely asked where it was. Impressive...just not in the way you want. By the time we finished eating, we waited another 30 minutes just to pay the bill. Ironically, before anyone could process our payment, a staff member came over and rather obnoxiously told us we needed to vacate the table because we were done. We explained that we'd love to leave...just as soon as someone actually took our credit card. That's when the owner arrived--with attitude instead of an apology. As for the food, six people ordered six different meals, and only one person thought theirs was okay. Those aren't great odds. Dessert didn't improve things. The lava cakes arrived cold (apparently the lava was on vacation), the presentation looked like an afterthought, and we were told there was no coffee available--even though we could literally see other tables enjoying coffee. Maybe it's a secret menu item? It's a shame because the location is stunning. With better service and better food, this place could be amazing. Until then, I'd recommend grabbing a seat outside, enjoying the lake...and lowering your expectations. My ratings: * Location & View: * Service & Professionalism: If negative stars existed, they'd have earned them. * Food: * Patience Required: One final disappointment--there were no fortune cookies. So, allow me to provide the fortune you never received: "Fortune says: Go somewhere else to eat." That's one fortune I feel pretty confident will come true.
