I've come to this nail salon for years and after trying others in Omaha I always need to return. They are fast without overly rushing the process, kind and easygoing, and fairly priced. The location is perfectly set in Aksarben with parking garages nearby and coffee shops or boba drink spots to have a sweet treat. If you choose to, they offer some wines while you're getting your nails done as well. Their prices are truly unbeatable from my experiences. In a world of inflation, they've had the same prices since I was in college and I can feel truly pampered without the guilt of a $80 pedicure. Massage chairs included as well! I went in for a pedicure. I clearly requested the $75 package, even pointing to it on the package list (because there was also an $85 package). Right after she was finished I gave her a $20 cash tip, then when she cashed me out it was $91. When I tried to point out it was the $75 package, she acted like she didn't understand me. TERRIBLE. I got a REALLY bad manicure and a brutal pedicure. This place is filthy. The bottles of whatever products were on the technician's stands were coated with dust (from nails???) and the bottom of the polish cap was rimmed with gooey black stuff (every bottle) The pedicure water was not fresh and was cold. I didn't see any sanitation going on anywhere. The files were used, the cuticle nippers came off a tray with a lot of other tools. The same technician did my manicure and it was a DISASTER. She applied such goopy layers of polish that were bubbling up before I even left the "salon". She wrecked one nail being super careless as I was paying. Then trying to fix the ruined nail, she botched up the other nails. The staff were not dressed professionally. They shouted across the salon to talk and laugh. I had to point out that my thumb nail was very crooked more than once. The nail tech had me put my right hand in the gel light for 90 seconds and the left hand for 15seconds max. The day after getting the nails applied, my pinky nail popped off. They did fix it for me without any question when I went back in, but the tech (same one as before) put the wrong color on my nail and insisted it would fade to be the same as the rest. 3 days later, still a different color. I have been coming here for a while and normally it's fine. Some of my friends refuse to come because their nails chip so easily after coming. Mine are usually fine or chip after a little bit. This time I went in for a dip manicure, as I usually do. The tech rushed through it so fast and did not shape my nails as they are all crooked. The entire process was so fast I did not realize we were done. After sitting down from washing my hands, she handed me the ticket - didn't moisturize my hands, didn't clip my cuticles (and my hands are not pretty, they are dry and cracked, definitely needed help). When it came to filing she left a few cuts in some fingers and I saw blood on my pointer finger and she just didn't care that I was bleeding I asked if I could go wash it off and she's said oh no it's fine and I asked if she was gonna change the file and she said no it's still new. In my opinion she should have changed it. She was constantly looking around and got up about 5-8 times while I sat in the chair she wasn't paying much attention to me was more worried about everyone else. Let me start by saying that I WAS a regular here ever since it opened. Despite varying levels of service, I always came back. Usually I had a decent experience. However, I cannot and will not come back after today's visit. I rarely go back to the salon to get nails fixed, even though they give a warranty card. Either I'm too busy or it doesn't bother me. Two of my natural nails broke down to the skin this week and I had to go get them fixed. Not sure why they broke so easily, my guess is that the tech put three layers of dip on them and it was just too heavy on my nails, which are long. I walked into Aksarben nails at about 10:45, and it was not busy. I went up to the woman working the cashier. She is there all the time, probably the manager or owner. Anyway, she was extremely rude to me. She asked me why my nails broke, what did I do..just not nice questions to ask a customer who routinely drops 70-80 dollars every 4 weeks. I digress. Once she understood I wanted them to fix my nails, she said I would have to wait A WHILE, because the tech who did my nails (Blue is her name) was busy. I said I would wait, even though any of the techs could have put two tips and painted dip on. I waited 25 minutes. Which is outrageous for a nail salon. Finally Blue came up behind me and took me back to her chair. She seemed very annoyed and rushed, fine. She's busy. I get it. I explained my natural nails just snapped off and I would like her to put tips on them to match the length of the other nails. She started using the grinder to take the old dip off without saying anything. The grinder was turned up way too high and literally BURNED my nail bed through the dip. I pulled my hand back and said, "ow. Can you turn it down?". She did not. She then quickly dipped my nails without even filing down the natural nail underneath or anything. Leaving them jagged and uneven underneath the tips. This is the part I LOVE so keep reading. She says to me, "I'll have to charge you $8.00 since it's past the warranty." I said, "I'm pretty sure it hasn't been 7 days. I came last Sunday, and it's Saturday." She then challenged me, "you came on the 18th"....yes....I know. It hasn't been 7 days. Once I said I wasn't paying, things just went downhill more rapidly. She sloppily painted the clear coat on top without even glancing at her work when she was done. She also did not bid me farewell. Which doesn't hurt my feelings, but just tells me how godamn cheap these salons are and how they'll literally try to make you feel like you can't count days of the week to get $8.00. So that was the epic of Aksarben Nails. Happy to say they won't be seeing me anymore. Don't waste your time here, people. My nail bed is still throbbing from the metal burn. **update!! I was pondering my review/experience whilst in the shower last night. I noticed that THEY WROTE DOWN THE WRONG DATE on my warranty card!!! This place is not good whatsoever - they did my classic manicure in 5 minutes. I walked out of here with more dirt underneath my nails than what I walked in with. The utensils they use aren't sanitized and nail dust from the previous 500 customers still lays on each table; I felt so dirty resting my hands anywhere. Awful pedicure!! I had to ask to trim nails and then remind them 3x to please shape/file. Water was freezing and no massage of legs rubbed a little oil, added hot towel and was done. As for the scrub to the feet - he didn't even get near my heels and I said please scrub - he said he did.- it was ridiculous. I was in the drying chair in 20 min and that was the "sparkling pedicure" that I paid extra to get. They had 1.5 hours and he had no customers in line. Came for a dip manicure and was impressed with how many stations there are inside. There are several pedicure chairs and manicure stations to accommodate a huge crowd. I called ahead and was seated right away. The dip manicure process took less than one hour. My nail technician was friendly and helped me find the right color. I expected a typical manicure experience, including cuticle treatment and a hand massage with lotion, but that was not included. She only focused on removing my current gel color, filing, and reapplying dip and matte polish. I asked if she could care for my cuticles, but it was a $5 additional charge. I've never been to a nail salon where that was a separate charge. After washing my hands with the dip hardened, she applied a bit of cuticle oil and then wiped it off with a paper towel. My hands were pretty dry from the gel removal and dip powder. I'm not sure why lotion was not applied. I was confused. For $45, I was very disappointed. Although the color and shape are lovely, I think the most expensive manicure service should come with some more amenities. Otherwise, I'd stick with a classic manicure for $15. read more

I most definitely won't be coming back here again. I've come a few times to get acrylics and I was decently impressed. However, this last time I came for fills (and gel nail polish), I had a nail break within 6 days, a few fractured nails, and multiple nails with polish chipping! They have a 7 day warranty so I went back and at first, they weren't going to fix my broken nail for free, only the polish. I understood, but explained that that has NEVER happened to me in such a small time frame (usually takes me up to 3 weeks for a nail to even fracture). They were kind enough to fix the polish and the broken nail for free. I was super happy! However, within 3 days the GEL nail polish was chipping and peeling AGAIN!!! Today was their opening day-no line or waitlist for walk in! I had seen their opening pictures through facebook and figured Mani/pedi was a perfect way to cap a half day Friday of work. I walked in, thinking it probably would not be very busy but actually there was a good amount of people there. About 5 finishing up and 5-10 getting nails done/checking in. They are offering 20% off services for this opening week-which will save you tip at the very least. I worked with Amanda, and she did an excellent job. She is the same technician as the one at NT nails at midtown (same owner as Aksarben nails and seems like staff will be bouncing between the two) and you'll see on yelp she's pretty loved there too. I was pleased with the clean environment (not much time for it to get dirty yet though), fresh tools, and good work ethic and service. Pricing is reasonable to me even without the 20%. Def on the higher end of normal, yet not ridiculous. The website has the hours, the services (with prices so you can plan ahead), and also is able to make appointments. I've been here many times throughout the years. It has always been rushed and they act disrespectful towards me. When I came in the most recently, they said they "guess" they have time for me. I did not come in close to closing time whatsoever and the salon was not packed. The woman was visibly in a rush and was taking my polish off so harshly that I had to pull back. I paid 10 dollars extra for "chrome" and she used her finger to apply it when they usually use a brush that appears to be for eyeshadow. After being so rough with my nails while filing and removing the old polish, by the time I got home my nails were so weak they were bending with the slightest pressure and the chrome effect was peeling off. $50 dollars to be in pain, have my healthy nails be destroyed, and to have a messed up manicure that did not last more than a day. Not to mention I can't go get them done again until I give my nails a chance to recover. The time before this I got a pedicure and they cut the side of my toe so bad it was stinging and gushing blood. He just moved his arm and tried to hide it from me as if I could not feel the pain.
