If you get a nail tech named "Katie" RUN! She is typically given to people who don't make appointments (guilty) but is the worst. The picture is of a nail she "fixed" for me and she did the worst job. I've unfortunately had her before and it's always awful. I've tried to double back and give this place a few more chances (its perfect location for me), but I am definitely done! I don't usually leave reviews, but yikes. I used to go to this place often and decided to give it another try. I wanted to just relax with a luxury pedicure (which is $72 btw...). I was willing to splurge for a great experience. However, the nail tech rushed the entire process. Each step of the "luxury" experience was half-assed, and you could tell they were rushing me as he kept turning toward the door where other customers were waiting to get in. I had gel all over my skin and the area was not cleaned up. Far from luxury and very disappointing considering the price. Won't be coming back here again. read more

OUCH!!! I've never been cut more times while getting my nails done! I understand that it can happen on occasion but this was beyond excessive. I left with six cuts! Outside of the painful experience, the salon appeared to be clean and the people were friendly. Can't say I'll return because I tend to avoid paying people to injure me. read more

Top Q is the only place I will trust with doing my nails. Katie and Sandy make my nails look flawless with dip. If Katie is not available, then Sandy takes care of me. I do not have acrylic, I just get dip on my real nail. I found this place from a Nextdoor app recommendation and I'm so glad I went to Top Q. Every single person in this salon is so incredibly friendly. They always ask how I'm doing and what's going on in my life or if they can get me a soda to drink. Hopefully I'll be going there for years to come! COVID - there are dividers between each station and divisors between you and the nail tech. Everyone wears masks and the techs wear gloves. You have to put hand sanitizer on as soon as you walk in the door. read more

Probably the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. This was two days after my appointment. Major brush strokes and chipping. The actual appointment was very brief. This is a classic pedicure at $32 + tip. I could definitely do better myself. I've been here many times for manicures and am usually satisfied so it must've been an off day, but this is unacceptable. Won't be back for a pedicure. read more

This 18 year old, used her own money for a nail dip with Maria. When Maria said she was done, the client informed her it was too bumpy and it needed to be smoothed down. Maria insisted the client was wrong. The client gets nails dipped every two weeks. She asked again and Maria told her No! There was no other manager available. The 18 year old client left in tears, called me from the car crying. I sent her to Noveau Nails, in Elkhorn, a short distance away. I knew the owners. They promptly repaired all 10 nails. Today I took the client back with the video of her nails. Explaining the interaction to "Travis" who insisted she should have brought it to his attention. That would have been great, if Travis or any other professional would have been available. Maria insisted it was right on more than one occasion and checked her out at the register, most likely to get her out of the salon. I offered Travis the opportunity to refund her the money and make it right, or I would write an accurate account of what has transpired. He refused. Even customers witnessing our interactions told Travis to make it right. He refused. Well, Travis, your customer service smells fishy from where I'm standing. If you are proud of sending someone out the door with nails that look this nasty and charging them $57, I feel sorry for you, and any other client that walks through that door. I went here at the advice of a friend who said she loved them, maybe they do better with dips and gels but I went for a basic manicure and pedicure and it left a lot to be desired. The massage was rushed and barely noticeable, and it wasn't a busy time of day. I looked down at my nails today less than 24 hours later having done nothing but wash my hands a few times to see my nails are chipped cracking and have weird white lines across the nail bed. My toes are in much the same condition and I did nothing rough or strenuous to warrant a brand new mani and pedi to look like it's a week old. read more

Well it wasn't the worst manicures I've gotten by looks, but definitely the most painful. The nail tec decided to buff my cuticles off with nail drill instead of pushing them back and trimming them. Yes this was as painful as it sounds. The technician seemed to be in a rush and was very sloppy . Slathered lotion on my arms but didn't rub it in, didn't clean out under my nails (even after I asked), and left nail powder still on my fingers. Won't go back. Who wants to pay money to be uncomfortable and dismissed. read more

I had an appointment at another salon down the road, and when I walked in and said I had an appointment with "John Doe" they said "Oh, yes! He's right over here!" instead of telling me I was in the wrong place. I continue to get my nails done, and they looked horrific. I was then charged $80 dollars for an appointment I didn't actually have! Thankfully, i got them fixed. The next month, I come to get my nails done, and Top Q gave me nail fungus!!! Sloppy job, dirty equipment and store, messy dip and needed cleaned up when I got home. Cuticles damned up with excess dip and top coat. More cleanup off of skin around each finger tip. I don't normally complain, but things are so bad here I had to say something. They are so interested in being fast they do not care about quality or service. They put shellac on dip powder. You can not do that if you want your manicure to last. it peels off. I asked about it, and they agreed but said people don't like to wait for the 5 extra minutes to dry. So they would rather give a sub-par manicure than explain to people what it will mean if they put shellac on dip. Went back for a pedicure, and my daughter wanted. The higher end pedicure, which is supposed to last 40 minutes. And I think I got the better end of the deal. mine might have lasted longer than hers. I did the classic. 20 minutes and out. The nail polish is see through so not enough coats were put on it. Then I asked if they could do my eyebrows. They said yes and the gal literally put on four strips of wax no touch up nothing and charged me fifteen dollars wow. Obviously I am not going back but I wanted to put it out there. Speed is not as important as quality as they seem to think. You deserve better for your money and to have a good product when you are done. that is not their main focus, in my opinion. read more

The first girl assigned to me had a horrible attitude so I had to ask for a different technician. When I asked her to wipe down the chair she seemed bothered. Also, they are not disinfecting the stations between customers. Next technician was much friendlier but a bit sloppy. Shop was super busy and loud. Positives: tons of colors and powders to choose from. Lady "in charge" is very friendly and professional. There was steady foot traffic and they have so many technicians no one had to wait more than 5 mins. I won't be back but maybe I'm just picky since I'm from out of state and things are cleaner where I'm used to going. read more

I traveled several hours to hang out with my friend I have seen in months. We both decided to have a self care day and get our acrylic nails done. We were greeted very kindly and picked out our colors and sat down ready to get a full set. My friend ended up very pleased with the service and how her nails turned out. I received service so drastically different, it seemed as if I got my nails done at a different salon. The lady who did my nails acted very impatient while filing my nails. Finally, when she did the polish she put it on extremely thick and uneven. It made my nails look fat. The design I got done looked amazing. I came back the next day to get the shape fixed because it was completely uneven. The same lady who painted my nails the last time painted them again and they were once again extremely thick and uneven. She tried to send me out with just painted nails but I had paid for a design and this seemed to make her very upset. So I sat down to get my design and it looked absolutely awful! I got back to my car and was very upset. My friend convinced me to go back and explain my dissatisfaction. I was told there was nothing they could do because it was my nail shape that made it look that way when clearly it was just very thick polish. I ended up being refunded for my design. Overall, a bad experience. It took up lots of the small amount of time I had on vacation. I will not be returning. read more
