The nail tips are a little more old-fashioned than my usual style, but my nails are really short right now, so that could be why. I'm pretty sure once they grow out a bit, they'll look even cuter. I have been going to blondo nails for years. I have had really good techs and not so great techs. Today was the worst that I have ever experienced. I paid for the deluxe pedicure for $60. I did not receive the lotion message or the hot stones message. When she said she was finished I asked about the lotion message and stone message. I just got started with my pedicure and already it is one of the best experiences. She is taking time pushing back the cuticles on my toes WITH CARE! I've never had that done before. Already this is my new place. So my big toe touched the top of the lamp and instead of her just paining over it to fix it, she removed the polish and repainted my toe. It just gets better and better. Worst customer service. Had been going for 2 + years because of the convenience of it being close to my job site. This last time I got dip manicure. A nail chipped 2 days after and 4 more nails 5 days after and one more 10 days after. I was treated with disdain the first two times I went for a redo of the nails that cracked and the last time the owner, rather than trying to figure out why they were chipping, dip usually lasts me 3 weeks with no chipping, told me I needed to pay for new manicure and to stop coming to have them fix them. Happy I stopped in while I was in Omaha. Walked in, no appointment, and 15 minutes later I was getting my nails done. Everyone was super friendly and nice. I did not catch the ladies name who did my nails but she sat at station #3. She was honest and recommended a few options since my acrylics were in sad shape. A value nail salon that's decent and has a great corner location. $25 for their base pedicure. You won't get a fancy experience but your nails will be nicely done. I've been here several times over the years and it's not my favorite place due to the lack of ambiance/ modern decor and the moderate skill level of the techs, but it gets the job done. Its not going to be a great massage. They'll try, but they are nail techs not massage therapists. Just know that going in, and adjust your expectations accordingly. Pretty quick service, they do a lot of walk ins and manage their random customers very well. Lem is the best, but he's usually very busy. read more

If you want a pedicure - this is a decent place to go. Nothing fancy. Not too expensive. If you want acrylic nails, run--don't walk--to another salon. Because I'd had luck with pedicures, I tried pink and whites. Awful! Indifferent tech who filed my nails until they hurt. WHY, why, why don't nail techs take better care of people's nails? It's unconscionable. Second, the shape was bad, and the tips were comically awful. It's 'French tip' or 'American tip.' it's not "half of your nail is white, and it looks like you're an 8-year-old." And the tip should be a half-moon. If it's a line straight across the nail, it looks childish. They were also lumpy and oddly sticky when I left. Waste-O-money. It's frustrating. I'm not looking for an artist or anything fancy. I'm just looking for a salon with nail techs who care. I see people with beautiful nails! I know they're out there. As it stands, I am still on the search and looking for someone who will fix my nails. read more

Blondo nails is the place to go! A perfect blend of a turn and burn mixed with a high end spa. I have natural nails and I broke one, chipped three and was in overall bad shape. Zenda needed a whole new set and her feets done. Blondo was already hopping when we showed for our 9:30am appt on Sat. Zenda was taken right back to the large pedicure chairs and began to soak. I got to hang around for 30 mins because I only needed a manicure. Zenda total time in the pedicure chair was about an hour. She was a happy puddle by the time they moved her to the chair for her nails. I couldn't get over how thin and natural looking the acrylics were! She also got shellac for her fingers and toes. Full spa pedicure and new set with shellac for both $90.00 Manicure with regular polish $19.00 Both prices are before tip. Since they are just down the street, I think this is going to be our usual haunt. read more

Tried Blondo Nails and I am never going anywhere else!!! The prices are great and the services are excellent!!! I tried a shellac manicure for the first time in several years. I have natural nails and was so frightened of destroying my nails. The tech advised me of the proper technique to remove the polish even advising a french manicure with a natural ( not pink) over coat to allow gradual outgrowth. I have LOVE my nails!!! They last and last and last!!! I was used to almost daily touch ups and this is heaven!!! I love this shop and will return!!! I have had pedicures at Blondo nails too and found it to be relaxing and very complete on all counts! Great chairs too and hot water!! Nothing worse then a cold water foot bath!!! They are busy and see alot of clients on Saturday afternoons but the service is always good. I went in at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon explaining I had another appt at 3:45 that I could not be late for. I waited about 8 minutes and nervously asked if I should back but was assured I could have a shellac and be on time. I walked out with a gorgeous french manicure at 3:30. They don't paint up to the cuticle, or follow what you tell them to do. I asked for a round shape, I got a square. I even showed pictures as to what shape I wanted to be clear. Made no effort to make conversation. I asked for a design on my nail, and when I told her I didn't like it, she tried to act like she told me that it wouldn't look good, but I told her to do it anyway. I chose Blondo Nails because it was close to where I live and seemed to have decent reviews. I ended up being pretty disappointed. While the price was lower than I was expecting ($25 for a shellac), I would have gladly paid more for better service and workmanship. I came in with a picture of what I wanted my nails to look like, which was a glittery accent nail on each hand and the rest a solid color with the same glitter color in a small half moon at the bottom of each nail. The man who started my manicure asked someone else if it was possible. She said yes. He then continued with the prep part of the the manicure. Once he started painting them I noticed he wasn't going all the way to the sides of the nails with the color. I said something about it and he had someone else take over. I asked her about it as well and she said she'd take care of it on the second coat. She wasn't friendly at all and seemed like I was putting her out. I had to show her the picture of the nails I was hoping to get twice and she acted annoyed. It's not like I was asking for a hand painted design. Once I got out to my car, I inspected my nails and noticed there were still areas on several nails that didn't have polish on them. I ended up going to Target, finding a color that matched and fixed it with regular polish myself once I got home. I definitely won't be returning. read more

I am going to caveat this review by owning the fact that I tend to be germaphobic and call feet "cheese" even though I love cheese but think feet are a bit ookey. Nonetheless, there's this part of me that wants to understand what the pedicure fuss is all about. So, girls day, last minute decision, let's get some pedicures. We Yelp up our options and lo and behold, Blondo Nails gets some decent reviews and is near our brunch location. Walk into the no frills nail salon. After a slight wait, they seat the three of us in the pedicure massage chairs and off we go for $25 a person. This place is busy on a Friday mid-day with what appears to be repeat customers, so good sign. Did they disinfect the tub? Did they sterilize the instruments? Did the customer before me have an odd foot infection? These are all things running through my mind. For $25 a pedicure, the three of us are in and out in about an hour. Toes painted, odd sponge flip-flops on, nails painted, feet and calves massaged with lotion and hot stone. I'm giving three stars because I feel like it was a good experience, but holding back two stars because this experience didn't convert me into a pedicure fan. read more

We got in with a same day appointment for two, great pedicure service and happy with my shellac nails 18 hours later (regular nail polish doesn't stick for long). My Mom is thrilled with her gel nails. I would have rated four or five stars except for an issue with one staffer not understanding that I was getting shellac done, not removing. He had filed my thin nails with a very course file and wrapped them in acetone before I figured out that wasn't right. (Not having had gel nails, I wasn't sure something was off until I asked why three nails weren't soaking.) Because my nails are so thin - and I got clear in case it peels off like regular polish - the damage from the filing is evident on two nails even after they buffed them before applying the gel. If I lived in Omaha, I would give them another shot as the rest of the visit was very pleasant. The problem also wouldn't have happened to a regular mani/pedi customer who knew the process. My only real beef is that he should have been able to tell the difference between nails with regular, thin polish versus shellac that needed to be filed and soaked. read more

I went to this place as a recommendation from someone else. I wanted to get a shellac pedicure. I was directed to a seat towards the back where the pedicure stations are located. Long story short, I received a very overpriced pedicure and had to return the next day because 4 nails had already started peeling. They fixed them and less than a week later my shellac pedicure was peeling again. In my previous experiences with shellac my polish lasted for 3-4weeks. The lady that is sitting on table #3 needs to be fired and or if she is the boss she needs to stop working. I have gone there many times and her service is horrible. My friend said she got overpriced for a fill and had to complain to get it dropped. She charged her 35 when a fill is 18. She said service was horrible as well. Ironically I got the same lady and she charged me 21 since a nail was off. I said to her I have always got charged 18 even if that was the case. 18 divided by 10 nails is 1.80 anyways so why would she charge me 3 extra anyways. She was very sloppy and didn't care. I had to point out many mistakes and she just didn't care and just rolled her eyes. If you want your business to succeed you need to let this lady go 100 percent! I went in to get my nails done and told them exactly what I wanted - even showed them a picture. They recommended shellac for that design so I agreed. They tried to give me the design I asked for but it didn't turn out even remotely the same and looked like a 5 year old painted my nails. When I said something their response was that they couldn't do the design like that anyway because they don't do the powder coating. If they would have just told me that in the first place I would have had them do something different. $70 and two hours later I'm not very happy. 3 sets of nails & about 6 fills in the last year. Up until now I have liked it here just fine. Attempted to get my 3 week old set of nails filled today- usually my nails from here last 2 1/2 to 3 months...pretty good. After being cut & bloodied by the file/sanding tool...nails sanded so far down the white no longer showed in spots (I had a pretty pink & white) that never happened here before. Sanded so far the thumbnail cracked & had to be glued- found other side cracked after also I left almost to tears. Midway through I told them they're gonna have to switch to a color because I couldn't see the pink & white was going to look good at all. Then she started sanding some more & broke a nail clean off. That was it...last straw. Never again. Had to tear off what was left of this fairly new set....& hope I have no issues from the small chunk of skin torn open from the sander. Good luck read more
