While I've never heard of a "moving service" where a truck isn't automatically a part of the service included in the overall quote- doesn't necessarily mean that this policy is unheard of ‍. Most importantly tho- their rates are lower than other quotes I've received! So give them a call! read more

Wow! We purchased a new home and sold our old home with no plan. Not only were they understanding when the closing dates change multiple times but Anthony and his team were up to the task. They moved our huge amount of not so organized stuff in 1-day. Carried a very heavy safe and granite table up the stairs and organized it better than it was when they picked it up. Pros. Full stop. Very happy with the service provided for our recent local move. I rented a 26' truck & furniture pads & these fine folks worked their magic. For a solid 8 hours. They brought all the equipment necessary to carefully load & later unload all our accumulated stuff into desired locations, upstairs, downstairs, closets, etc. No space was wasted in the truck, and it looks like everything survived the move. Do not use them to load! I have now used them twice. the first was to unload a uhaul. the team sent was quick and efficient. the second time was HORRIBLE. They arrived late and charged as if they arrived on time. he stated "we won't charge you for 4 hours" when they were in the home less than 3 hours. they do not move quick and DO NOT HAVE THEM PACK YOUR THINGS. They disconnected a bunch of things and left random cords and screws all over so I now have to find missing parts of my furniture. I used a pod which they loaded terribly and I now have broken items. my bed is raise-able and I have missing bolts so the hardware underneath is not secure. They loaded A LOT on my desk which is now dented and has a crack. I have a 4 panel painting that looks like it was thrown in? It now has a hole in one of the panels bc it was against the corner of something. I collect location mugs, they were padded and the box was full, it came crushed though the box was "small" and clearly labeled fragile and should not have been placed under anything. if you use them you will have to watch them like a hawk. No one likes moving, but this dynamic duo made it completely painless. Even when I had issues at U-Haul earlier that morning with my truck pick up, they helped me keep my cool when I wanted to pull my hair out at U-haul. We even got stuck in an elevator to get on there and they remained cool, calm and collected the entire time. They were very careful with my belongings and did it all with a smile. I used akt'n up moving services when I first moved here from Texas. I had a hard time finding movers to help but they showed up on short notice. I don't remember his name but the Gentlemen showed up with his wife and they helped me unload the truck and trailer in 3 hours with a 3 story townhome. Him and his wife worked their butts off and moved fast and efficiently. I just recently decided that townhome wasn't for me and I used "budget haulers" they were a 4 man crew and it was Agonizing to watch them work. Akt'N Up is THE BEST. Seriously. We couldn't have made our move without them. Because of COVID, we had to move out of San Francisco without physically being there. We scheduled Akt'N Up to do everything for us, from picking up our UBoxes to packing our stuff to loading our stuff into UBoxes. UHaul cancelled our UBox reservation at MIDNIGHT the NIGHT before our move! We had to rearrange to have the UBoxes picked up in a location an hour away. UHaul was a nightmare, but Akt'N Up saved us. They helped us get everything sorted out. They agreed to pick up AND drop off the UBoxes from Santa Clara for us (instead of San Francisco) for a low cost, and executed the rest seamlessly. You cannot beat Akt'N Up in terms of price and quality. They are the best service on Moving Helpers (the site used via UHaul to schedule movers). I would recommend Akt'N Up to every person I know. They were also a complete pleasure to work with and responded expeditiously to every call/email we made to them. I can't stress it enough - they are AMAZING. read more

We moved from Colorado to Folsom, I found this company to have the most reasonable rates, so I called them first and planned to call a few more. However, Tiera answered and said they could make my schedule for unloading an entire semi-truck trailer from U-Pack. Anthony and Sean showed up on time and were very efficient moving everything into our home where we liked it to be placed. Some of the furniture was extremely heavy, they put on their moving harnesses and got it upstairs without any issues. They also helped move some furniture from the garage to basement that was not part of the unload.
