We recently used this company for our move, and overall, our experience was excellent. From start…read moreto finish, the crew was professional, hardworking, and incredibly careful with our belongings. Every piece of furniture was meticulously wrapped and protected, and they treated both our old and new home with respect. They were friendly, personable, and worked efficiently all day. We had just installed brand new carpet in our new home, so we mentioned that to the head mover before they arrived. We weren't sure how shoe covers would work since the crew would constantly be going back and forth between the truck and the house. He reassured us that he would figure something out once they got there. When they arrived, he came up with a great solution: two movers stayed outside unloading from the truck while two movers remained inside the house receiving and placing everything. The two movers inside even asked if we preferred they wear shoe covers or simply remove their shoes and work in their socks. We told them socks were perfectly fine. I really appreciated that they asked instead of assuming, and I thought the coordination between the crew was genuinely impressive. It showed they were willing to adapt and find a solution that protected our new floors. What also stood out to me were the little things they didn't have to do. At one point, they saw me struggling to open our wardrobe boxes after they had been unloaded. Without me even asking, they came over, cut them open, and helped open them for me. It may seem like a small gesture, but it showed they genuinely cared about making the move easier for us. Those kinds of thoughtful acts don't go unnoticed. The only reason I'm mentioning the following is because I think it's constructive feedback. At the end of the move, the head mover (who seemed to be the supervisor) asked how I wanted to pay the tip--cash, Zelle, or another method. I was a little confused because earlier in the day we had already given the crew $200 and told them to use it for lunch. When I mentioned that, he explained that the $200 was for lunch, then showed me examples of what other customers had tipped. He also shared that most customers tip at least $800, or about $200 per mover. I completely understand that tips are an important part of their income, and I genuinely felt this crew deserved to be rewarded for the outstanding job they did. We ended up tipping the crew very generously because we truly appreciated their hard work. Afterward, the head mover was sincerely appreciative and thanked us, explaining how much they rely on tips and how much it helps them. I appreciated his gratitude. However, discussing specific tip amounts and comparing them to what other customers give made me feel pressured and put on the spot. Everyone's financial situation and budget are different. Some customers may be able to give more, while others may not, and that's okay. A tip is ultimately optional and should be appreciated regardless of the amount. I believe it's best to let customers decide what they feel is an appropriate gratuity without comparisons or suggested amounts. Aside from that one interaction, the service itself was outstanding. I would absolutely recommend this company and would use them again in the future.

He even tried to upcharge me for the 4th mover but luckily I saved the quote that Alex gave me. Well it took 11.5 hours (not including their lunch break) with 4 movers and they still didn't move everything. We just had to stop the time because it was getting so late. 3 of the guys were nice and they did most of the work, but Eric was a bit pushy and was always on his phone or going on a break. They took too many breaks (lasting 15-20 min each) and their lunch break was 2 hours. So they were off to a slow start in the morning. I really did not like that Eric tried to convince me to go to Home Depot to buy more moving boxes because they didn't have enough. As a moving company, you should have enough boxes. They were careful with my stuff, wrapping everything very carefully, but they were slow. They didn't clean anything up after they were done, left their cans, bottles, runner paper throughout the house. All in all, they were okay. Just really slow. This job should not have taken 11.5 hours

Dylan has been incredible every single time. He's genuinely one of the hardest-working people I've met. I didn't have to lift a finger. Watching him maneuver my heavy elliptical down a spiral staircase looked almost effortless. He's meticulous with packing, lifting, and placing furniture, and treated everything we owned with care. Dylan and Hicham made such a great team. They packed the truck efficiently, organized everything in both our storage unit and apartment, and made what could have been an incredibly stressful move feel easy. They kept us updated throughout the drive and even provided an AirTag for extra peace of mind, so we always knew where our belongings were. They arrived bright and early the next morning and worked for hours until everything was unloaded. I honestly couldn't recommend a better moving company. They're priced very well compared to others, and their service and professionalism is exceptional. I'd use them again and again just so I can continue to save my back.

They arrived at 8am, smelling like ashtrays and they did get to work rather quickly. However, it was only about an hour until I smelled more cigarettes. Then they started making excuses that there wasn't enough to move, even thought all the furniture and pictures were prepared to go along with two garages full of boxes and tubs. My pregnant wife and I were working alongside them and we were finishing packing some things in the kitchen. Long story short, about seven cigarette breaks later, one of the movers had seemed to run out of gas and I felt the need to step in on some of the heavier items like a large couch which I felt shouldn't have been my responsibility for since I had communicated that with the owner prior to him coordinating the particular men who would be helping out. By the time we arrived at my new house, I had become a third member of the movers team since they had taken so many breaks while packing the truck along with the fact that now one of them was dragging energy-wise and also ended up dropping a few items which all seemed fine at the time. They ended up leaving and I didn't even get the chance to personally inspect all the items since I was completely exhausted from the move. The next day I woke up sore and had a few errands to run, then back to the house. I was moving some boxes around from room to room and noticed that a desk that's been in my family for years was split down about halfway the back of the top. So, I took a few photos and sent them to the owner of Noah's and his response was to instantly claim it had been too long and he wasn't responsible. Then he claimed that he could know if I had done it myself. Then, he stated he was refusing to take responsibility because his mover had responded back to him that he didn't think the damage was done during the move, and that we had a small refrigeration on top of it which had likely caused the crack. I let the owner know that the refrigerator was on the opposite side which was completely undamaged and that I could provide many pictures proving the location of where the refrigerator was stored since it was in the background of many photos in my phone. The owner continued to use AI assisted responses to communicate with me and refused to take responsibility. I wish he were as careful with his customer's things as he is with his communication and denials after the payment has been made. You've been warned. Even if he offers you a "deal" don't do it!!

I sent out a moving request on Yelp and received a message promptly regarding price and availability. After getting the necessary information, I went ahead with booking. A couple of days before the move, I saw rain in the forecast and reached out to see if things would still move forward. Rain or shine, everything still went on as planned. Manny and Trey arrived on time and got to work ASAP. They loaded everything on the truck at the two requested locations and headed to Sacramento. Once we got to Sacramento, they started unloading everything. The move was to the 3rd floor of an apartment building with no elevator and down the hall from the stairs. Though it was a tough move, Manny and Trey were both patient, kind, and efficient. They even cracked a few jokes, and we shared some laughs. It began to rain at the end of the move, and they still continued with a positive attitude. I am so grateful for their hard work, amazing service, and dedication to helping me get moved in. They got the job done in under 3 hours through everything. I would 1000% book with Affordable Movers again. The crew was easygoing, efficient, and careful with our belongings. They handled a tough Sacramento-to-Los Angeles move in a single day and stayed within our budget, which we really appreciated. Overall, this was one of the best moving experiences I've had in a long time. A few items weren't handled exactly how I might have expected, but that's partly on me. I probably overpacked some boxes and assumed certain things would always stay on top. Nothing was seriously damaged or broken, and that's what matters most. I'd definitely recommend them and would use them again.
