So I Order a CDI which the web site said they have. It turned out they didn't have any in stock and had to order some. The whole reason buying it was because it was in stock. So I called Monday (going on 2 weeks) they were, we got it in and it's going out today. We call you back in an hour. So I called back 4 hours later and same thing it's being ship today. Now it's Wednesday and I called again and they said it's going out either today or tomorrow??? So I just canceled the order. They where friendly on the phone and answered my questions. But if you need the part sooner then later I would go some place else or order over the phone to make sure they have it actually in stock. I wouldn't care if I didn't have a 3 ride coming up. This place is the only place in the surrounding area that carried the spokes for our xr80. We called around and there's a few places that will swap tires and tubes but none of them carried spokes for the tires. XRonly did and saved our riding day! The staff was super helpful and they answer the phone. I see a lot of bad reviews on here from people but I had a great experience. I will definitely be getting their exhaust system too! read more

WARNING!! I mistakenly ordered some fork guards (not realizing that I was going a different route and converting my forks). I never even opened the shipping box, I tried reaching out to there "customer service" very respectfully apologizing for the error on my part asking for a return/exchange which was under the 30 day return mark. They completely ignored my email and never responded.. I tried reaching out again just recently which took them 10 days to respond to and they were rude and short saying I'm way past the 30 day return. I responded again with a screenshot of my initial email to prove I've been trying to reach them. I still haven't heard back from them and probably won't. I mistakenly didn't check the reviews for this place and am now realizing that they are notorious for this kind of crap. So if you plan on having any work done on your bike or buying anything off there site I suggest you find a better more respectable honest business. I will continue to tell all my rider friends and whoever I come across not to use there site or do any business with them. They sent them anyways and when I contacted about returning these items (that I didn't order and that I specifically told them I didn't want) they said they'd take them back... for a 15% restocking fee. I ordered a return spring for my XR600 After 2 weeks I sent an email requesting an expected date. After 2 days and no answer I sent a 2nd email As they are closed on weekends I waited and called Monday. After a promise to check into it and return my call I hung up. Wednesday I finally recieved an email stating the part had arrived. Shortly after that same day I recieved a 2 bday email( from a different person) saying my part was "on the shippers desk. give me a day to get it shipped" After no part arrived and no tracking info was sent I fwd another email asking the status on Saturday I called to follow up Monday. 1 st I was told the part had not arrived and they were still waiting for it.l from Honda I told the guy what the email said and was put on hold with no warning. After several minutes I hung up. A few minutes later got a call back. Different guy said " oh yeah it's packed and ready on my desk. Just waiting for UPS. I'll get it sent today. Now it's Wednesday. When I placed my order it said 3-4 business days for shipping. After two weeks I was getting nervous and looked up a lot of negative reviews. I called them, was transferred to shipping thinking, "ok, here we go!". Ready for the run around, I was told they were waiting on an item and it had arrived. This is the first negative review of a company I have ever written; it is December 31st, 2018 and I feel it would be useful for future potential customers to consider my experience before servicing, and possibly supporting, Al Baker's XR's Only. Even though this is the lowest score available, I should start what I like about the company: The history and idolization of professional dirtbike rider Al Baker. I enjoyed learning about his exploits and history through articles on the wall of the waiting room. To the bad: I feel betrayed as a customer and sad that my safety was potentially threatened by the negligence and general crookedness of the service I received for my motorcycle from this company... twice. I drove over two hours to drop my bike off at a place I though specialized in my vehicle (Honda XR650L) and strongly discourage anyone else from doing so. If you want specifics keep reading, I will try make it as brief as possible First was a valve replacement and service that lasted me around 3 months, under 400 miles. I didn't know that they gave me poor service once my bike refused to start at a stoplight as I was about to enter a highway; figured it had to be electrical. For three weeks I checked my printed service manual with a wrench set and a multimeter and came up empty. XR's Only being so far away, I decided to take my bike to a local shop that tried their best to discover what was wrong with the bike (Gemini Motorsports, they were honest and upfront) They said it was a shoddy valve job and quoted me a reasonable price to fix it, but suggested I take it back to the first shop, as it was a poor service. (They dropped a stripped bolt into the head and it freaked me out). So I did. (I later found out the mechanic who serviced my bike at Al Baker's XRs Only was fired. Not a great case for proving it was a quality job) Besides not subsidizing the costs of repair from their previous error, this company said my bike was not starting due to a wiring harness. They said they would sell me one. *Once I arrived to pick up my bike they informed me it was used. They did not mention that over the phone. I took the bike for a test ride in Hesperia. When returning home and driving it around the block I noticed a few things regarding this specific service: -Wires were still poorly connected -My front left blinker stopped working. Then the entire left side of the turning signals stopped working and the dash gauge for the blinkers stopped working. -A pair of heated grips were negligently left disconnected and floating on my handlebars. -One (just one) bolt holding on the shroud was extremely over tightened; I had to borrow a neighbors pipe to get enough leverage to loosen it. If paying for a new wiring harness and installation, this was far below satisfactory. Also my bike wouldn't start. (Reminder: This is next day after picking up the bike) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After demanding a refund/repair of their service it got to a point where Chris just stopped replying to my emails. I have grounds for legal action so he refused to acknowledge the danger he put me in. So I took it to Honda Of Glendale (efficient, frank, dependable) where it was found my starter was chewed up. (it was, I looked inside of it, looked like half burned charcoal briquettes.) Clearly a case of XR's only mis-daignosis and charging me for a service I didn't need, while also charging me for a repair from the damage they caused from an earlier repair. Okay one more neutral comment to prove that I really did want to like this company: I paid for a shock rebuild and although $80 more than I was quoted elsewhere, it has been 200 or so miles and I have had no problems with the shock so far. Stay away. I fear the venerable Al Baker would be ashamed at what this company is perpetrating using his legend as a crutch. Happy New Years, see you in 2019. -T read more

Bought a upper triple clamp for a Crf450x. Incorrect bolts included 4 out of 6. 3 pinch bolts and the one perch mount bolt spins like it shouldn't. Emailed them, but no response. Didn't read the yelp reviews like I should have. The BRP triple I should have bought, I've had great service from them, never mismatching hardware. $1600+ for a my bike running just as bad as when I dropped it off. New pumper carb, re valved forks, new rear spring, steering bearing replaced, broken oil drain bolt removed, and more. Showed up to pick it up and the tank has oil running down it, every new ufo plastics fairing that I replaced had grease or oil or both on them, finger prints as well. Bike would no start, I'm told I need to give a harder kick, Michael the "Tech" struggled to get it to start as well. The attitude was "it is what it is" got the bike home and there are oil spots in the bed of my friends truck. Now I have to locate where that is coming from. Then the audacity of offering to buy it from me. How is this place world famous??? $1600 and 5 weeks wasted. When I do the LA to Vegas run in November I'm going to make sure I spread the word around on why I bought a new KTM the same day. I'm a disabled veteran on a fixed income and this is what I got. I have dealt with them one time and it will definitely be the last. They sent me the cheaper version of a part than what was promised (260mm rotor kit instead of 320mm). They still charged me for the 320mm and also sent it in a smashed, already open box. (not the UPS box, the actual packaging was already opened). I installed it and guess what, it was defective. After sending the defective part back and trying to get the correct part for over a month it has come to the point where my bank's legal department is dealing with them as I am done. They said they could care less if I put my story on the internet, they would have their IT guy find and delete it and that they already have too much business anyway to care about negative reviews. Very rude every time I spoke with them and always took the customer is always wrong attitude. There are horror stories all over the dirt bike forums about these guys, so their IT guy must not be very good.. Ex: telling people they have stuff in stock and charging them only to have the customer call 3 weeks later to find out they didn't have the part and have not shipped it. I wish I had researched more before ordering from them. They do a lot of great things for their race teams and have a lot of parts that are hard to find for Honda XR bikes, but their business practices and attitudes toward customers are a joke. So I had a customer bring in his XR650L for some mods. He wanted an over sized fuel tank and several additional accessory and performance mods. Easy-Peasy right? I ordered an IMS tank as these XR's Only offer a graphic for it for $31. I quoted the customer and jumped back online to order these graphics to learn that they, in the course of only a few days, had gone up to $35. Still... Not a big deal. They are in CA and I'm in Ca but $15 to ship them? Come-on guys! They weigh what? 5 ounces? OK so $50.00 and a week later I get the goods and install the left graphic without issue but am pressed for time to get his now finished bike off the rack and out the door. Next graphic has a blemish! Noooo! I call XR's Only and explain the problem. They tell my to snap a photo and email it over. Did this immediately. Crickets... I called and left messages & sent emails. Closed for the holidays. OK... I can still pull this off. Today I get Mike on the phone who passes me to Tim. Who then passes me back to Mike. Who says yeah we got the photo. Me: Why haven't you responded to my calls and emails then? Mike: Cut up the graphics, take a photo of them destroyed, email it back to me and I will send out another set. Me: But it took 2 weeks to get to this point. What about my customer who wants his bike back. One graphic is installed. I only need the right one. Why can't you send me the right graphic and I will send you the blemished one and we are done? Mike: Can't do it. So I'm faced with yet another potential 2 week delay. Solution; I eat the $50 for the sake of my customer. Install the blemished graphic and get the customer on the road. Bottom line; I care about my customer. As I should. These guys couldn't care less about me, their customer. To fix their poor QC cost me 2 weeks and $50. I should have read all the negative posts before I paid to get shafted by these people. AVOID THIS VENDOR! read more

Avoid ordering online. They don't carry stock on the parts that they show on their website. I placed an order on FEB 7 2016 and had to call several times to get status. They told me the items were on backorder and I had to wait until it was restocked. After several e-mails and phone calls I received my order on FEB 24th, although it was short 1 part (Carb Jet). I sent another e-mail inquiring about the "JET: and they said they will send it whenever it comes in. It is now April 20th 2016 and I haven't received it. No communication customer follow up from xrs only. I sent another email today!! Disappointed, I was planning on purchasing more accessories but no way now. Stay away from the web site. I to ordered a relatively simple part from Xr's only.com. It was temperature dipstick for a xr650l. Found out 2 weeks later that they were on back order and not expected to arrive for another couple weeks. Finally almost a month and a half after placing the order the part arrived. When I first made the call to the company to find out why part had not arrived yet, their employees gave me grief...like it was my fault or something. Also a little more than a year after buying the temperature gauge dipstick, the clear glass cover of the gauge has condensation under which makes view the gauge difficult. I let them know about this and they did nothing. That was Strike number one. ; Strike number two came a year later when I decided to purchase there Mikuni HSR42 pumper carb for my 2004 XR650L. First the Jetting was off(I'm at 500' MSL at 90-100F temps in mid summer day), which shouldn't be to far off. Even though it came with 2 additional main and pilot jets it still would not work properly. I called them to ask some questions and they were not very helpful. This will be the last time I take my business the Xr's only. There lack of customer service, added to products that don't work as advertised, is enough to warrant my money to go elsewhere and I hope others don't get left with a bitter taste in there mouth as well. read more

I found Xr's only while researching for a shop to repair a xr100 head which had galled cam bearing journals.I dropped off the head on a Tuesday and read bad reviews on Thursday. About a week later I got a call from Mike with a quote. I okayed the repair and got a call about one week later saying it was finished. The machine work is top notch and customer service from Mike and Sam was just fine. It seemed like a busy old school shop to me. I'll return. read more

My experience with this site is simple. I ordered a Mikuni Pumper Carb kit for my XR400. Their site says that they have it in stock. I've read more than several negative reviews on xrsonly.com but haven't seen anything negative in the last year. Well, the shop that ordered the carb for me got an email from XRS only saying that the carb is not in stock and they would ship shortly. I guess some sites will constantly keep their site saying "part in stock" when it is not, but it is a crappy pratice. I have monitored the site daily and the part i order still says it is in stock. With them being willing to lie about the stock status, I wonder how long it will be before I receive the carb I ordered? read more
