With a trip fast approaching to get my jet ski out on the water I called Motorcycle Tech to get yearly service and a repair on a pump done. The owner/mechanic said his first available appointment would not be till 15 days out. He was nice and personable talking about cost and what would be needed. When I told him I would take care of the service elsewhere to be good out on the water and I would take care of pump replacement on appointment he had scheduled me 15 days out his attitude turned nasty on the phone. He said he would not be able to repair pump since he was not also doing service. Said he was too busy and would not have time. When I told him he had just scheduled me 15 days out he screamed I could take care of repair myself elsewhere as well. I'm not sure if he was having a bad morning but a repair shop should be able to handle and schedule just more than yearly service. I never met the man in person and was optimistic after reading the glowing reviews on here but needless to say I will not be giving Motorcycle Tech my business. Fabricio and his brothers are complete professionals and absolute pleasures to deal with. I recently inherited a 2003 Yamaha fz1 that had been sitting for nearly ten years. After looking the bike over, I knew it needed a lot of work that was well outside my skillset. I called around several shops and was feeling nervous about the costly repair bills, as well as no other shops were making me feel comfortable with what was coming ahead of me. It's tough to find a good motorcycle mechanic. Tougher still to trust the one you find. My 2010 ST1300 was running hot, needed tires, maintenance and need some work. Being new to the IE, I searched around and landed on Motorcycle Tech. it was close and down hill all the way from my place. It also got good reviews here and on the Google. I took her down on a sunny, late spring evening just as they were closing. I met Fabricio (my new best-est go to mechanic) and his team of technicians. Despite the fact that they were closing, and all his techs had the beer:30 eyes, they graciously rolled a garage door back up and we rolled her inside. I got a really positive vibe right off the bat from these guys. Even though it was quitting time, they all stuck around and we talked bike for a while. We quickly went over what I needed and Fabricio said he'd give me a call in a day or two with tire recommendations and a service schedule. The last thing we talked about was the fact that she ran hot (even for an ST). He said he'd have a look around and I left my precious in their capable hands. A week later Fabricio call and said the bike was ready, new tires, fluids, battery and he thought he had found and fixed the heat issue. As it turned out, in addition to the regular service he had taken the motor apart and found, buried behind the throttle bodies some crystallized antifreeze that had partially blocked the coolant hose. It wasn't enough to cause engine damaging overheat, but restricted the flow enough to case problems, AND HE PHOTOGRAPHED THE ENTIRE OPERATION, which was nice. We went over it with an image by image narration. Difficult to diagnose, hard to find, but once he found it, it was repairable. Now, it's like riding a new bike. Great shop. Great Techs. Honest value. I give Motorcycle Tech my highest rating and return business. read more

Well let me start off by saying the reviews don't lie this place is a gem and has earned my business. Took my KFX 700 to have it serviced and the carbs cleaned. The owner fabricio and his brothers are the nicest people you will meet and take pride in what they do. He makes sure to go over what he is going to do and how he is going to do it. My Sea Doo sat a couple years due to a fuel pump problem, called and spoke to Luciano and he explained how the duel carburetors work for the year mine was built so he had me bring it in on a Wednesday and asked me when we were planing on using them and told him we were leaving that Friday and let him know that if he couldn't get it done on such short notice we understand but he had it ready to go with replacing the fuel lines and carburetor work done by Thursday! After doing some research, i decided to take my Yamaha raptor to Fabricio who always made sure to call me and keep me in the loop with whatever needed to be done. I also liked how he fully explained everything in detail and made me feel comfortable, which to me is a big key. He did all this work and it didn't break the bank. The price was very reasonable!! I've compared different repair places over the years when I didn't want to drive far, but I end up spending more than I would've had I just driven further to my favorite place. Now I completely disagree with Paul H's previous review. Let me tell my great experience with Fabricio Pulgar. I was feeling a bit like the fabled Diogonese, who spent his life with a light searching the world for an honest person! That was me with a Honda repair service hunt. Thanks to all of you who have responded to me quest for an honest dependable service center for my '84 Goldwing. Some of you gave me a same recommendation as did people at my MC safety training and I took the ad and went to Motorcycle Tech of Upland. I visited Fabricio Pulgar, owner and master mechanic (he calls himself a technician-- such a humble man) of Motorcycle Tech. He repairs all types of Japanese motorcycles, offroad vehicles and water craft. His website is http://www.motorcycle.... His shop, at 1710 West Foothill Blvd suite D14 (Across from Upland Lowes), in Upland, CA91786, was filled with all sorts of dirt bikes given him to repair by numerous bike rental shops. His office wall was filled with his training certifications for every sort of Japanese engine known to man, going back 30 years. He and his brother operate this little business. But what makes me most thrilled is that I have found an Honest mechanic! I had phoned him to make an appointment to check my brake issue that I wrote the group about. He did that, and patiently explained to me what I did NOT need-- a more expensive option. He explained how to monitor various aspects of my bike operation to let him know what it was doing so we could determine the most efficient options for it. He showed me how the offending rotor was stained blue, indicating it had overheated in the past, causing the slight warp. He explained how my new brake pads, installed without adjusting the calipers accordingly balanced, probably caused the problem on my long ride from Sacrament to SGV. Then, I asked him to change the oil, which he did and checked several things. In the process HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO CHANGE THE OIL. Sorry to admit that I am not knowledgeable about such things-- or I was not, but now am! I now have a trusting relationship with this humble motorcycle expert, wherein I can know for certain that he will not do unnecessary repairs but will, instead, advise me of the most cost effective things to do in keeping my classic Goldwing running in tip-top shape. I don't know if Fabricio is a brother in Christ, but he sure acts like one!
